BetterDispatchAudio 2.2

(39 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Are you tired of hearing "IN, UHHHHHH"? Tired of "DIS BOBCAT 4 EN ROUUUTEE!!!"? So was I. So I fixed that. Better Dispatch Audio (B.D.A.) includes completely new AI Responding Audio (from NFS Most Wanted). Calling for backup (and Helicopter Support) will trigger this. Ending a callout from Albo's "Assorted Callouts" or "Traffic Policer" and finishing up with "BetterEMS" will also trigger new audio, changing "We are Code 4, no further units required" to "All Units you can clear this call, return to patrol". Pursuits are much more immersive. This has been a several weeks long process, with restless nights, and my 1'st mod. I'm happy to release it here for the community. Please let me know what you think of it, and enjoy.

Works with...

LPCallouts

PoliceSmartRadio

HeroCop

AssortedCallouts

TrafficPolicer

AgencyCallouts

BetterEMS

CodeRedCallouts

ArrestWarrantCallouts

PeterUCallouts

ArrestManager

VocalDispatch

Tacco's Highway Callouts

OJ's Plugins

Streetname Addon (All streets)

Standard Dispatch version works with just about any callout pack.

Installation : Simply drag and drop the provided folders to their designated locations. A ReadMe.txt has been provided for your convenience.

A special thanks to mikegolden Games and Gallonman20 on Youtube, for taking interest in this mod, and uploading videos about it. Please check out their channels, as they both do fantastic LSPDFR related Content, plus more :woot:

*Disclaimer* Audio used in these videos is outdated by about a year. These sounds were from the very beginning stages, and the mod is much more cleaned up these days.

What's New in Version 2.2

Released

2.2

If you don't like the Custom Dispatcher's voice, please download the "Standard Dispatch" version. Yes, I brought it back

I've updated this mod, to keep up with all recently released callout packs (including Tacco's Highway callouts released recently, honestly perfect timing bud)

Callout pack not compatible? Link me to it, and I'll see about adding that in. I won't add it if it's no longer a supported plugin however (meaning, incredibly outdated and buggy). The callouts I have now, I have personally verified that they are working properly on the latest RPH and version of GTA.

What did you put into there? Did you put the "Link" folder, or did you already get the AudioRelated and PoliceScanner folders? The readme is provided with those.

when i downloaded the file it only gave me two files custom and normal pitch... No readme or nothing so i put but files into the LSPDFR file like you said and nothing changed so i took it out and put it into the police scanner file and still no changes. i didnt get a readme file when i downloaded

@Thumper53 The two files you downloaded are .txt files which contain links to the actual download from mega. Choose either the normal pitch, or the new pitch tone and download the file using that link and there is a readme in that file telling you where to place the actual audio files.

Any reason you don't have it on LSPDFR to directly download?

Ignore the double quote. I'm using mobile and it's not the best, LoL...

The "Audio Related" folder is for Police Radio. The documentation provided clears this up :P

Right, I don't have a Police Radio folder to put the files in.

GTAV>plugins>LSPDFR>PoliceRadio

If you don't have Police Radio installed, then just ignore it :)

Yes, LSPDFR has a file size limit. Because of the amount of audio replaced here, it goes over. Thus, I have to have an external download, and for this I apologize. We're still adding even more audio to other areas, and I'm hopeful to have the Loudspeaker (bullhorn) replaced soon.

Dude i love the mod its really cool but i had some problems with my pc,i reseted it and as i installed gta 5 and lspdfr back, i wanted to install this mod BUT on mega the custom link was not anymore available and i installed this file again and i only got the link for the normal patch wich sounds like the basic one as i tested it in game.

Can you give me the custom one?

The CustomPitch is no longer supported sadly. It's too much for my old bones to keep up with, due to the amount of updates the plugins are getting. All backup audio however, is absolutely still supported. Just make sure that after you update any callout mods, you reinstall this mod over them, so the audio is not vanilla.

The custom pitch is nice, but it's a LOT of audio to convert. Plus it didn't always fit with the other audio playing. I'll look into easier ways to convert the pitch, but as of now I agree with Steele1925; for this mod, it's just too much with all the tweaking we have to do.

Kinda  hoping to have the same shorten dispatch for the custom tone

Hey, just out of curiosity, is it possible to make the download a .url link? That way when people download it from here it could automatically send them to the MEGA link?

It is. However, doing so would not show me whether or not the Mod is being well received. Instead of clicking download, they'd hit a link posted in the Description. Having people hit download shows me whether or not people are still interested.

I didn't mean in the description. I meant a .url file. Much like Albo includes for his documentation folder on his mods.

Hmm... That is possible I'm sure, however, I'm an old guy and still new to all of this ha ha. If I figure it out, I'll gladly update that for ya

There certainly are in mine... Go ahead and open the B.D.A. Mod folder (that you downloaded) and triple check that they're in there. If so, go ahead and place the PeterU audio from my mod into your GTAV/lspdfr/policescanner folder.
