1989 Chevrolet Caprice LASD 1.0.0

(10 reviews)

7 Screenshots

1989 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 - Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department

The vehicle has age specific equipment and it was designed to make an authentic counterpart of real LASD cruisers from the late 80's.

The pack comes with randomly spwaning unit numbers and with black&white and full white paintjobs.

The car is roughly bug-free, Remarks are welcome :)

@FCVP71 I've found one bug, though. When the lights are turned off (police lights), you can still see the emissive mesh showing from the sides. It's an easy fix. Just hide the lights under the car. Coronas far far down, and the emissive mesh will be half way apart. That way you won't see it until you turn the sirens on.

But this way the emissive mesh will not have a flashing corona around it, because the flash will be under the car :(

You can always hide the corona and all, and then place a plain corona itself where the light is flashing. That's what I do sometimes.

Replace the corresponding png file with this in OpenIV. Leave a comment after testing, if it works i will provide it in the next update :)

The car was optimalized for the sheriff cruiser, and was tested on that slot only. I can't take responsibility if you use other slots, or you edit your carvariations :)

It works perfect. Lights are visible during day and not too bright at night. Now just need to get this kind of file for detective 96' CVPI

P.S. what is your plans for the blue rotator who does nothing??? I havent seen it in use IRL.

If you mean the ,,pair,, of the steady burn light on the blue side, it's a flasher not a rotator. IRL LASD used it as a takedown light. I will make it as an extralight and it will work together with the unity spotlight.

Nice, I just cant wait. Good luck with work.

By the way i still use your CVPI Arjent as police1 it is the best all around LAPD CVPI awailable, but there are some things that you could try and upgrade, like lightbar try getting it to work like BxBugs or Scuderio's

just a super nice, wide body, old style cruiser  i love these older cars because they are so roomy inside and i dont feel cramped up, plus there is plenty of room for my partner, who always seems to be dancing in his seat  will look awesome with Lundy's and Solo's cruisers!
