SUPPORT IS NO LONGER OFFERED - FEEL FREE TO HELP UPDATE THE CODE

Siren Mastery is now open source. https://github.com/Albo1125/SirenMastery

Siren Mastery is a script modification that allows you to master your siren tones. Toggle to your secondary siren at the press of a key/button, silence your siren using any key/button you like and even control exactly which 'secondary' siren plays! You can be up and running with Siren Mastery within 5 minutes (installation tutorial click HERE).

Requirements - some of these are included (credits go to their appropriate authors):

  • Albo1125.Common 6.6.4.0 or higher (included)
  • RAGEPluginHook 0.51 or higher (not included)
  • NAudio 1.8.0.0 (included)
  • A legal copy of GTA V (version 1.0.1011.1 or above).

There is also a download to free up unneeded controller bindings so they can be used for Siren Mastery. Get it here.

You can find some new, customised UIs for Siren Mastery in the spoiler below:

Summary of current features (please check documentation carefully too):

  • Change the Siren Toggle key/button and assign it an optional modifier key/button.
  • Change the 'lights only' toggle key/button and assign it an optional modifier key/button.
    • This works even if your siren is off so you can control whether your siren should play before turning your lights on.
  • New 'Toggle Secondary Siren' key/button with an optional modifier key/button.
    • This allows you to switch to secondary sirens without having to hold down a key/button.
  • New 'Toggle Bullhorn' key/button with an optional modifier key/button.
    • This allows you to keep sounding your bullhorn without having to hold down a key/button.
    • Works simultaneously with sirens.
  • New 'Next Siren' key/button that cycles to the next siren.
    • Can optionally include the Off state as a cycle stage.
  • Your siren now stays on when you leave your vehicle and you don't mute it.
    • This can be disabled from the GeneralConfig file.
  • Determine the siren tone that should be playing.
    • You are able to select which siren tone to play, including the ability to differentiate between secondary sirens.
  • Additional Siren Modes
    • Dual Siren Mode.
    • Manual Siren Mode.
  • Additional customisable sirens per vehicle model.
    • Allows you to have up to TEN total sirens per vehicle model.
  • Fully Functional and Customisable UI.
    • Feel free to create and release your own custom UI files.
    • The size and position of the UI can be customised via the UIConfig file.
  • Customisable Siren Switching Tones (like Siren Switch Honker).
  • Sirens are fully customisable per vehicle model via an XML file.
  • All keybindings are customisable and fully customisable controller support is included.
  • The vehicles.awc size and length limits are effectively removed while using Siren Mastery, allowing for greater siren variety.
  • British Users: You can now have British Siren Switch/Toggle sounds (in other words, horns!). Simply replace the relevant files in the Plugins/SirenMastery folder with the ones included in Siren Switch Honker's download.

Support is no longer offered - what to do if you encounter a bug or have problems:

  1. Watch the installation video for my modifications here.
  2. Use this tool: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/9755-lspdfr-troubleshooter-by-albo1125/
  3. Read the documentation file if you're having trouble getting a specific feature to work.
  4. Suggestions can be made here.
  5. If all else fails: Please leave a comment (not a review). Include your RAGEPluginHook.log file, located in your Grand Theft Auto V folder. Also, please provide an accurate description of what happened.

Please do not reupload or redistribute this without my permission, rather link back to this original page. Thank you.

Oh, that's a pity, it would be great. But thanks anyways.

It is not possible due to design and game limitations unfortunately.

Unfortunately, I am unable to get togglehorn working on controller.  It works on keyboard fine, but I've tried a few different placements on the controller and none yield a result.

Thanks Albo.  One more thing, when we update Siren Mastery, we don't need to update everything, do we?  As in re-adding the sirens?

1.4.0.0 (01-11-2016):

  • Updated for RPH 0.47 and GTAV 1.877.1. Works with RPH 0.44 or higher.
  • Default setup attributes for policecar & policebike to allow overriding of default siren setup used (see documentation for more info).
  • Major behind the scenes changes of how sounds are loaded.
  • GRANGER siren preset for fbi2 & pranger added by default.
  • The Horn now has a slight fade out effect instead of stopping abruptly.
  • Your siren can now stay on when you leave your vehicle if you don't mute it (this can be disabled in the INI file).
  • Added a button/key to allow you to cycle to your next siren. An INI option determines if the Off state is included in the cycle.
  • Various bugfixes, improvements and optimisations.

When the change log says "how sirens are loaded" does that mean that they're dynamic? Like if I go through a tunnel will the sirens echo?

@Albo1125

I absolutely love you for adding in the toggle horn on controller.  Thank you!  There's just one small issue.  Whenever I use the horn on controller only, there is a 'click' sound initially.  It only happens when I hit the horn, either toggling it or just pushing the joystick.

Will we eventually see a default attribute for the granger, fib, ambulance, etc?

@Albo1125, I´m having a bit of a problem here with SirenMastery. You see whenever I select the fourth siren then sound disables and I have to restart my PC to get it working again. Do you maybe know why this might happen?

I seem to be having a very serious problem with the latest version.

Whenever I try to use my horn, I hear a quick scratchy white-noise sound and it immediately disables the audio of my computer. It's not just GTA V that's affected, but any other programs that I open as well. Disabling and re-enabling Siren Mastery doesn't fix it, and other than a full computer restart, I can sometimes get the sound back by exiting GTA V. Everything else from Siren Mastery works from the UI, other siren types, etc. It's just when try to use the horn that I get this issue. At first, I thought it might be a problem with the specific wav file I'm using for the horn, but I have multiple cars with different horn sounds and my sound still dies regardless.

EDIT: A relief to know I'm not the only one who's experiencing this.

I've no idea why NAudio is causing that for you. It's probably something to do that's specific to your system/hardware configuration. NAudio is a bit old.

Regardless, I've reverted the changes for you so updating to the latest version 1.4.0.1 should fix this.

Thanks Albo, that fixed it for me.

Just a heads up for folks who need the fix, don't forget to also replace SirenMastery.dll along with NAudio. I made the mistake of only changing NAudio and still had the problem.

@Albo1125 I'm going to go ahead and update it as well since I'm having the clicking (but no severe audio loss like others).  Did this also revert some of the changes you made?  Such as sirens staying on when exiting, or was this specific to the horn?
