Yet Another Partner Mod for LSPDFR extends Your game experience by :

  • selectable partner among policemen,
  • partner will attack, when shots are fired, closest attacker - if he was in following mode,
  • You can order partner to attack closest attacking/fleeing/covering Ped, if ped is fleeing he will chase him, and kill him
  • If Ped who attacked is under arrest or is arrested partner will hold aim, but will stop shooting, until suspect arrest is done, then he will go back to car - if previously was in follow mode,
  • You can order partner to follow You (he will get into Your vehicle when You get in, or get out, when You get out),
  • You can order partner to halt, he will stop all actions, and wait for further orders,
  • You can order partner to arrest closest suspect, partner will equip weapon, hold aim, and force suspect to knee, and put hands on neck,
  • When player has been revived in hospital, partner will get last car and drive to hospital (it can take some time) - NEEDS TESTING,
  • When Partner is dead or was accidentally despawned You can get a new one,

To select a partner after going on-duty, walk close to any police officer and press select key (default NumPad0 - for rest of configurable keybindings look inside provided *.ini file), partner will follow You, and will be under Your command. Until he dies, he is in the same group as You, under Your command. When he dies go to nearest police station or any policeman on street and select him to repeat process.

Why I have written this plugin if there are others like this ? Because I wanted to do it myself, my way.
There are no plans for including into this mod any callouts, or ambient events, except partner itself. This mod is focused on partner only.

Requires :

 -   Rage Plugin Hook 0.52 (may work on older versions)
 -   LSPDFR 0.3.1

Installation :

- unpack archive file with plugin (7-zip),

- copy "YetAnotherPartnerMod.dll" and "YetAnotherPartnerMod.ini" file to Your GTA5/Plugins/LSPDFR directory

- LSPDFR will load plugin

Please do not re-upload this plugin to other sites as You do not have My permission to do so. 

This plugin is Work In Progress - see this thread for development details and discussion :

Future development :

  • add vehicle service stations for lspd and lssd, so player can repair vehicle in more RP-way
  • add ability to heal in clinic, if player is injured (for better RP)

Cos dalej jest nie tak, wybieram "partnera" , idzie za mną ale nie chce wejść do radiowozu. Musze wysiąść i wsiąść ze trzy razy i wtedy dopiero załapie hmmm

I guess, If they are recognized as cops in game, there should be no problem in selecting them as partner. Plugin checks (among other checks) if given Ped belongs to cop or other cop-alike groups in-game, so used model or texture, should not matter in this case.

Od dłuższego czasu wraz z kolejnymi aktualizacjami nie zauważyłem z tym żadnego problemu. Jeśli używasz trainerów, dodatkowych skryptów dla innych script hook-ów, innych modów, które mogą modyfikować zachowanie się NPC-tów, to tam może być przyczyna. Przyczyną też może być niestandardowy model pojazdu. To wszystko przy załaożeniu, że masz zainstalowany RPH 0.36, LSPDFR 0.3 i najnowszą wersję YAPM. Dopóki nie będę mógł tego zreprodukować, nie mogę na to nic poradzić.

Plugin for what ? You mean texture pack ? Any. As I said before Plugin checks (among other checks) if ped is belonging to cops group, if it is, then given ped can be your partner. Textures and other resources modifications, does not influence this behaviour.

You did not understand me. I ask about plugins or other ways to place mp_m/f_freemode_01 to "cops" group

Cops group is built in in-game group, to which every cop belongs. It doesn't matter how given cop looks like - if its cop it belongs to cops group, as far as I know. So modyfying its texture doesn't change anything.

 I understand it. But where is this list? Where the all ped groups, including the cops? Do you khow this file?

here is documentation of the ped groups. I gues all what You want is texture/model of your ped to show in game as policeman. Ped groups has nothing to do with it. I still don't understand what topic of texturing peds has to do with this mod. Its not texturing tool or apearance modification.

And so I'm again explaining that this is out of scope of this plugin. As I said thing you need is texture. Texture can't be member of any group, Its only graphics object placed on ped model, and this can be any bitmap/image. Where this given texture resides in file system of GTA 5, I don't know. All you might want to do is to take this this texture from place where it resides and replace choosen policeman ped's model texture in single player models to said texture. Just like probably alternate texture packs for police officers in game are done. As of importing MP character stats to SP its either impossible or hard to achieve, easier would be with ped model, but again i don't know where it is stored.

You might also copy said ped model and add it to game ped models just like other ped modifictions are done, but I can't help you with that.

I'm not talking about textures. I think I figured out where the data are necessary to me ... But the file is encrypted. PEDS.YMT .....

I see - probably PedType should be "COP" to set this ped model as member of cops group I guess. For comparison I suggest to open any cop ped model record, and check if PedType is cop there. If it is, you know what it means. Also I would copy MP ped model to another file/record, rename its model, and then import it to game again for use in SP, and of course add this model to peds meta file (XML) after said modification.

I love this mod, but could you remove the persistent "Partner Halted" message in the top left corner of the screen. If not maybe make it optional to turn off in the ini, it blocks the other messages from LSPDFR and plugins. Thank you!

When I get back into my vehicle, sometimes my partner just stands there and stares. I have to get out of the car and get back in again a few times for him to end up entering it as passenger.

Happens to me all the time. On traffic stops, callouts, chases (especially agitating since I have to keep getting in and out until he finally gets in, and by then I lost the suspect). He will SLOWLY walk to the passenger door, and then just stand there. Also, sometimes during a stop that requires him to take out his shotgun, even after I call him back to follow, he will remain with the gun out and stay where he is, or walk around randomly away from me.

Hey, is there any way we can get other FIB or IAA agents as partners? My favorite thing to do is work as them and run warrant hits!

Probably yes, already (i didn't tested it), if no it will be added. As of now plugin checks if possible partner is in cop group, if he is he can be recruited. I didn't tested if FIB or IAA agents or others are in this group. But possibly they are.
