Yet Another Partner Mod for LSPDFR extends Your game experience by :

  • selectable partner among policemen,
  • partner will attack, when shots are fired, closest attacker - if he was in following mode,
  • You can order partner to attack closest attacking/fleeing/covering Ped, if ped is fleeing he will chase him, and kill him
  • If Ped who attacked is under arrest or is arrested partner will hold aim, but will stop shooting, until suspect arrest is done, then he will go back to car - if previously was in follow mode,
  • You can order partner to follow You (he will get into Your vehicle when You get in, or get out, when You get out),
  • You can order partner to halt, he will stop all actions, and wait for further orders,
  • You can order partner to arrest closest suspect, partner will equip weapon, hold aim, and force suspect to knee, and put hands on neck,
  • When player has been revived in hospital, partner will get last car and drive to hospital (it can take some time) - NEEDS TESTING,
  • When Partner is dead or was accidentally despawned You can get a new one,

To select a partner after going on-duty, walk close to any police officer and press select key (default NumPad0 - for rest of configurable keybindings look inside provided *.ini file), partner will follow You, and will be under Your command. Until he dies, he is in the same group as You, under Your command. When he dies go to nearest police station or any policeman on street and select him to repeat process.

Why I have written this plugin if there are others like this ? Because I wanted to do it myself, my way.
There are no plans for including into this mod any callouts, or ambient events, except partner itself. This mod is focused on partner only.

Requires :

 -   Rage Plugin Hook 0.52 (may work on older versions)
 -   LSPDFR 0.3.1

Installation :

- unpack archive file with plugin (7-zip),

- copy "YetAnotherPartnerMod.dll" and "YetAnotherPartnerMod.ini" file to Your GTA5/Plugins/LSPDFR directory

- LSPDFR will load plugin

Please do not re-upload this plugin to other sites as You do not have My permission to do so. 

This plugin is Work In Progress - see this thread for development details and discussion :

Future development :

  • add vehicle service stations for lspd and lssd, so player can repair vehicle in more RP-way
  • add ability to heal in clinic, if player is injured (for better RP)

    Me something is not working. I approach a policeman , I click NumPad 5 and nothing happens : / show me any information with in , but I read how it works ?!

    I get information in the upper right corner of that to have a partner , you have to walk close to the policeman and click w , I go , I click and nothing

    You have to press NumPad0, see ini

    Yeah, I forgot that ini in distruibution has diferently maped keys as I did for myself and written in description NumPad5 instead NumPad0. Thanks for pointing this out. Description fixed.

    You must press Numpad 0 to make him your partner.

    Any possible updates to make him get inside the car instead teleport?

    My suggestion: Add more partners for swat squad (my + 3)  :D

    Fixed that in newest release. Still he will teleport if he's very far and walking to car takes too long.

    That's fine, maybe increase this time would be nice, he is teleporting so fast. And also I think I found a bug, when I'm not close to any ped or partner, If I press NumPad 1, my LSPD plugin crashes. It should happen?

    Could You post RagePluginHook.log (found in directory where gtav.exe is) in spoiler tag ? As of now I can't say much, this has not happened to me, and I need more information to possibly replicate issue.

    Is there a way to get a 'swat' partner? You simply cant call swat backup and make one of them your partner ;p

    in newest version (1.1.25.1023) which is (temporarily - untli LSPDFR staff resolve issules with uploading new versions of mods) at the moment only available at my site  : http://gta5.48h.waw.pl/sdm_downloads/yet-another-partner-mod/

    you can select as partner also SWAT units, guards etc. However selecting as partner unit which responds to backup call can give strange results sometimes.

    I'm investigating this issue, I see what I can do. Probably he got too far, and then game despawned him, it shouldnt work like this, because partner is set as persistent ped, game still somehow can despawn him, probably based on his alegiance to cop group, which contains all cops in game.

Prawdopodobnie odszedł za daleko, i silnik gry usunął go - to nie powinno tak działać, zważywszy na to, że partner jest oznaczony jako nieusuwalny element świata gry, mimo to jednak, prawdopodobnie w związku z jego przynależnością do grupy Policji, zawierającej wszystkich Policjantów w grze, został usunięty

    Był update, wprowadził on możliwość zlecenia partnerowi aresztowania podejrzanego? :D

    I'm investigating this issue, I see what I can do. Probably he got too far, and then game despawned him, it shouldnt work like this, because partner is set as persistent ped, game still somehow can despawn him, probably based on his alegiance to cop group, which contains all cops in game.

    Tak, przynajmniej w większej części. Zakuć w kajdanki, musisz podejrzanego jednak sam.

    Skutecznie przytrzymuje podejrzanego mierząc do niego ze strzelby, zmuszając do przyklęku i położenia rąk na karku.
