If you don't like the emssisive textures i've used, i've included different ones that use the "standard" ones. 

 

INSTILLATION INSTRUCTIONS
================================
-To install the vehicle models themselves, simply place them in your latest patch day in your mods folder.
I have installed the vehicles in my game to patchday10 where i have found the most success in them working.

 

-To install the vehicles meta file, navigate to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5
Or the spot you put your metas in. Simply copy over this line over the existing police3 line.

 

-To install the VCF file, navigate to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\ELS\pack_default
and place it in there.

 

-If you wish to install this vehicle to another slot, simply change the name of the vehicle, and change in the vehicle meta,
the handling line the slot uses to police3. 

 

PACK NOTES
=================================

- I have included separate emissive textures. Some people may not like the ones I have on so its simple to install.

 

- These vehicles are quite large in file size, so I apologize if they are very hard on your computer!

 

- This is similar to the previous vehicle I have released, but I have redone the vehicle to work with ELS.

 

- The interiors have been updated heavily, so that they reflect the real life counterparts, also featuring better looking textures.1

 

- To get the vehicle to look pretty, I recommend using the VCF that I have inculuded with the file. 

 

- If there are any questions I haven't put below, please feel free to post in the comments section! 

 

- If a few bugs with the models, which if you find, feel free to post in the comment section and ill try my best to fix them!


COMMON QUESTIONS
=================================

Q: Why aren't my lights bright?
A: You do not have light-enhancing mods installed. Download RadianceV and/or, Install my emissive bits into your visual settings,
or other mods that increase emergency lighting brightness.

 

Q: Will you please help me ins--
A: Did you read the readme? No? The installation is simple.

 

Q: I don't have Patchday10/anything else?
A: Then put the car in your latest patch day, or copy patchday10/anything else over.
 
Q: Why does my game crash after I install the car/meta/carcol?
A: I don't know, it works in my game. Make sure you have no spaces when you copied the line. 

 

Q: Will you send me ______?
A: No.

 

Q: Can I make skins for this vehicle?
A: By all means, go ahead, just dont re-upload the vehicle model itself.

 

Q: Does this vehicle use the same template as your other Utility/Other utilities.
A: Yes it does!

@Thehurk its not letting me download it when I click download.. it does the count down but does nothing I even tried clicking on the link for you to click on if it doesn't start downloading right away. but other downloads will download fine.. please help I want this vehicle in my game!!

****UPDATE**** got it to download! I guess there website is having some issues or whatever but anyways.. this is a fantastic model! great ELS features!!! and just perfect!! THANK YOU!!

Maybe just a little bit more 'emissive multiplier' or whatever you guys do in zmodeler3 to those front bumper sirens. These exploders are absolutely magnificent... all that aside.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Hmm, see in my game, it looks incredably bright, and the colors look alot better with the new texture i put in there. It looks like your game has very low emissive settings for the visual settings.

I will take a look at the wheels not being centered. Please post a screenshot of what you are talking about with these lights, and to turn on the scene lighting you press alt ] (right Square Bracket)

Thanks. Button on ELS panel isn't active (I see "-" instead of "SCL"). I can't turn it on. I have this problem with other vehicles. I don't know what to do.

All looks good to me except the front two bottom sirens on the slicktop, all other cars look fine as well. I don't like "cancer lights".

I put this in the sheriff2 slot and changed the handling id to the gresley and still flips over very easy. Am i missing anything?

 

Never mind Im an idiot. I edited the XML just never copied it to the game. Works great! Thanks Hurk!

I don't think it's just you. I don't know of any current ELS models that have working SCL. Most don't even have TKD (Takedowns).

Thehurk says this FPIU has SCL support. CVPI by BxBugs seems like to be having SCL support aswell (according to Albo's video). Maybe it's just a bug? I can see a lot of feedback about ELS not being working at all.

That CVPI model from Albo's video was pre-ELS release, probably different model because the one from here only has cruise lights. I just verified neither of these FPIUs have scene lights, and there seems to be some sort of glitch with the takedowns as well.

Can anyone tell me why my lights don't look red, they come off as and orange yellow type and dont look the vibrant red as shown in the pictures above. This isn't a problem with the brightness of the lights thats perfectly fine, its the color that im having issues with and would like the lights to actually be red and blue and not yellow orange and blue

Maybe. We should wait for TheHurk response about scene lights, if they work for him then something is wrong with ELS itself.

I clearly see orange and cyan on those screenshots. I think it's intentional. You can use slicktop version, it has red and blue colors.

Has anyone gotten this working with RDE? I'm trying to put it in lssheriff2 slot, but when I get into the car, there's no vehicle-related audio (door sounds, engine sounds, etc), and the handling is wonky. I edited the meta entry and replaced the lssheriff2 entry in the rdesheriff DLC vehicles.meta, and it still doesn't work.

I've finally got this installed after finding out that RDE was overriding police5.  I've changed it to police5 and installed it in the RDE update, and I've finally got success!  The problem I have now, is the variant/skin is showing an all white paint with SASP State Trooper livery.  Where do you suppose this is overridden in RDE?  I've looked everwhere.

scene lighting isnt working with those buttons.

For you guys who are having issues with scene lighting, i'm not sure what to tell you. All i can say, is make sure you have a button mapped to activate scene lighting, make sure your VCF (If not using mine) has scene lighting activated with extra_11 being controlled by ELS. Otherwise i'm not sure what to tell you guys.

I would suggest that if your lights are a different color, to go into photoshop and change the texture that the emsissive uses to something more "standard" if you want to call it that.

I'm using your .xml file and it has

 

<Extra11 IsElsControlled="true" />

 

Problem is, if it spawns with that extra, the scene lights are turned on permanently, and you can't turn them off.

@Thehurk In the marked .xml file you have

 

<Extra11 IsElsControlled="false" />

 

Changing that to true fixes the Takedown and Cruise Lights, still no scene lights though, or a button.
