Overview

    This Crown Victoria is a rendition of a
    fictional department the "San Andreas Highway
    Patrol," that being said, no content is based
    on a real department, and no part of this car
    is based in real life.

Installation

*IMPORTANT*
In order for these lights to work properly, you
MUST use the carcols.ymt provided. This carcols
adds a new siren setting (14), and the
carvariations sets police4 to use this siren
setting. You may change the (id value="14") line
of the carcols.ymt to any number above 13, but
make sure whatever number it is, you change the
carvariations.meta to match.

    - Find your latest patchday in (mods)/update
      /x64/dlcpacks/patchday#ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels
      /gta5/vehicles.rpf and put the police4.yft, 
      police4_hi.yft and police4.ytd into that
      RPF
      
    - Find (mods)/update/update.rpf/x64/data
      and replace the carcols.ymt with the one
      included
    
    - Find (mods)/update/x64/dlcpacks/mpluxe2/
      dlc.rpf/common/data and replace the
      carvariations.meta with the one included

    Yes. You can install all your car mods in the latest DLC folder so they're all loaded automatically.

    In this particular model, I have hidden the coronas down below the car because there was no effective way to use them, so editing coronas will not affect this specific car.

    Yes, but the carcols from the mod I want to use goes in the same location as your carcols

    Ah I understand.

     

    In my carcols I made a new custom siren setting with id = 14 (default goes up to 13). So you just need to copy my siren setting, paste it at the bottom of your modded one's siren settings and make sure you change (id value="14") to some other number not used. And the carvariations has to set police4 to use the same id

    The latest you can find.

     

    You have to be sure to replace the carcols carefully, and make sure the carvariations tells them to use the right siren settings.

     

    Carvariations also work like the patchdays, if you add a section for police in the latest carvariations, it overrides previous versions.

    i see. is there a universe carvariations file (only one) for all police cars, which fixes that for all cars at once? I mean: ONE single carvar file, which u put in ONE single place, which is filled with all info? is that possible? thx for ur answer

    No, unfortunately. But you can basically create one by adding a section for all of the police cars in the latest one

    ok thx. so my latest carvar is in the latest update file "mpbiker". so all i have to do is: download different dlc cars here, and open their carvar files with editor, search & copy the relevant text for the models and put them in a row in the carvar file FOUND in the "mpbiker" folder PLUS change sirensettings for all models from "0" to "1" ? so i can take the textlines lines from other models carvar-files right? cause the models I have installed right now, did not have carvar BUT their lights are messed up. Thats why i have this problem. thx

    Hmm, the ytd came with 4 liveries in it. I am not sure?

     

    Make sure they are still named cvpi_sign_#

    Just install the vehicle files into PATCHDAY11 or 12 and then install the carvariations.meta into where the install instructions specify (pretty sure its mpluxe2) and install the carcols where it specifies as well.

    Add FLAG_HAS_LIVERY in your vehicles meta

     

     

     

     

    I can't get this to work with the captain14s' lspd pack, would you consider working around that?

    The patchdays are really easy to do, just put it in the latest one and it will be the one vehicle that shows up. The latest patchday always supercedes any other vehicles of the same name.

    I'm trying to get this to work as an addon car using the name hwaycar in the mpchristmas update but I cant seem to do it. Every single thing I try just keeps the lights flashing in a weird pattern. Do you have a possible solution?
