Bait Car 0.8.4.132-beta

(28 reviews)

I can be found on both the Rage Plugin Hook discord as well as the Bait Car discord if you have any questions, or feel free to PM me on here.

About

  • Bait Car is a plugin that allows you to catch car thieves in the act. Select a vehicle model, wait for it to arrive, park it somewhere, hide down the street, and wait for the car thieves to come in. Once someone steals the vehicle, follow them and the on screen prompts to proceed.
  • Vehicle models, Ped models, Weapons used in scenarios, wait times, keybinds, etc. are fully customizable in the configuration file.
  • Vehicles can be re-used multiple times.
  • Multiple suspects can now take the bait car!

Currently Supports

RAGE Plugin Hook 1.89 & 1.90 (Latest)
LSPDFR 0.4.9 (Build 8037+ required for new API functions. Older versions will work, but will crash the plugin when you call for backup)

Installation

  1. Extract the included zipped folder to any location (ex. your desktop)
  2. Drag all files from the "Grand Theft Auto V" folder included with this plugin into your main Grand Theft Auto V game folder.
  3. If asked to replace any files, select replace.
  4. Once all files have been copied, start up your game, and go on duty with LSPDFR to load the plugin.
  5. Installation is complete

Support

If you need support, be sure to:

  1. Report issues at https://github.com/bmk-dev/Bait-Car/issues, or message me/leave a comment and I'll add them there (easier to track)
  2. Please ALWAYS include your RagePluginHook.log file from your main directory (the text document) with any support request
  3. State your issue, what you were doing when you caused it, details on how I can replicate it, etc.

Confirmed compatibility with RPH 1.90

What's New in Version 0.8.4.132-beta

Major thanks to @goodguywood for helping me track down some of these issues!

  • Fixed detection issues when player parked the bait car (green circle not showing up)
  • Fixed crash on plugin load when there is an invalid keybind in the configuration file
  • Fixed suspects going to same offset from vehicle, bumping into each other
  • Added link to list of possible keybinds to configuration file
  • Fixed CompuLite crash
  • Fixed rare occurrence where suspects could not be pulled out at gunpoint (felony stop)

I'm not too sure, I know the latest version works on 1.89 but crashes LSPDFR when you call for backup, so I'm not sure what issues you'll run into with 1.87. What LSPDFR version are you running?

4.9 of LSPDFR

4.9 of LSPDFR

If you mean the one that was uploaded on the 2nd of this month (build 8037), the latest version of Bait Car should work fine as far as I know🙂

It's not, oh well.  At least I can use the old version.

Bait Car now has a discord! Join it here. Feel free to join for support/questions, updates, or just to talk with others. I’ll need some people to test the new garage scenarios soon, I’ll select some people from the discord.

EDIT: Fixed the link

Everytime I set the bait car up and the suspect gets in they automatically go into pursuit mode. How do I stop that?

What do I do when literally no one comes at all? I've tried all vehicles and waited 30 real life minutes and still nothing. It's taken me literal hours to try and make this work. Any help?

This mod seems so good, and if it worked I won't stop using this damn mod, please help!!
