ResistPlus - Real Suspect Resistance for LSPDFR

Ever notice how every suspect in Los Santos seems to have attended the "Polite Criminal Academy"? Not anymore! ResistPlus brings unpredictable and realistic suspect behavior to your arrests.

What Makes This Special?

Unlike other mods, ResistPlus catches suspects at the beginning of the arrest animation, creating realistic resistance scenarios that don't break immersion. No more weird teleporting or animation glitches - just natural-looking encounters where suspects might suddenly decide your cuffs aren't for them!

Installation

Drop ResistPlus.dll into your Plugins\LSPDFR folder
Adjust settings in ResistPlus.ini if desired
Go on patrol and experience the new challenge!

Configuration

ResistPlus.ini lets you set:

How often suspects resist (0-100%)
Chance of weapon use during resistance (0-100%)
Whether suspects need to already be armed to pull weapons

@SilverLaw99 it's ok take your time, lspdfr really needs this mod to make gameplay less boring. I was wondering also what's the current status of compatibility with riskier traffic stops and stop the ped? They are almost essential mods, and I would feel bad to renounce on them to play your mod to avoid conflicts and crashes

ResistPlus should work fine with both Riskier Traffic Stops and Stop The Ped. Many users are running all three together without issues. The problem seems to be that some specific mod combinations or LSPDFR setups are causing conflicts for certain users like you and i.

QOL update should be out in a few minutes..

by qol I guess that it will not fix it now, right?

How does this exactly work? StopThePed already has these features that you can easily modify to be realistic, there's no point except if the mod is supposed to work on the vanilla lspdfr arrest system because its way better and smooth, in which case it doesn't work

This error pops up every 10 miliseconds in my rph console (and log):

Can i do something about this?

I still didn't played the mod because its not working, but the difference is that stop the peds make peds resist arrest when you talk to them or when you try to stop them, this mod makes them resist while performing a takedown

Ima be honest idk what to tell you, I tried everything to fix it and Ig just for some people it works and for some it dosent, im sorry man.

Just checked now after restarting plugins and it works!I like it, I am trying out the various setting. What does compatibility mode with other arrest mods do exactly? Are they riskier traffic stops and stop the ped?

You have no idea how much that just relieved me yea it really just takes a good restart for it to work, and yea the compatibility thing is pretty much for stuff like riskier traffic stops n stop the ped so resistplus dosent start crashing the game when you use other plugins

@SilverLaw99 I am doing a 686 callout in which I have to escort a prisoner to a place, and Resistplus is spawning every half second this in the console, making the game lag as hell, until I finish the callout, and it crashed. Unfortunately I don't have the log cause I reloaded and forgot to save it. The prisoner is recognized by the game as suspect ( red dot on the map) but he is not able to fight me, and I didn't start a takedown, he spawned as a prisoner and was not taken down by anybody.

Working on a fix now! Expect a bug patch in a few minutes!

I don't know if yesterday you updated it, but I download it again today, and the error still happens, it happens with every suspect and it makes the game lag

Yea I also still have the address Issue on version 1.2.9. The plugin sadly doesn't seem to work at all. Maybe this is because of the official pursuit hotfix? I had to install that earlier since pursuits didnt work otherwise.

I really appreciate your dedication to this plugin, sadly the address issue wasn't the cause of the plugin not working. I tested your plugin with only LSPDFR loaded and only ResistPlus in the Plugins/LSPDFR folder. Plugin loads in fine and says its monitoring arrests in the log, but when I arrested like 8 or 10 people with the vanilla / standard lspdfr mechanics it sadly still didn't work. Clean 1.2.10, no config changed. RPH log below

Again to add, i started this new lspdfr install yesterday so its the newest version with the pursuit hotfix. I still think it could be interfering with how your plugin operates, but thats your call. Hope you can resolve this issue soon, i really like the idea of this.
