Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

My game crashes because of advanced hook. When I take it out it loads fine when it is in the game crashes.

Is there any fix for ELS just not working. I have it installed I have .XML's for the ELS police cars and the mod just doesn't work.

Does anyone know how to fix the lights on ELS vehicles being extremely dim? I have my in game graphics settings as high as possible and I am wondering if there are any light enhancing mods that would fix this as I have none installed if so or if anyone has any information I really don't know if I am missing something or what thanks.

Light enhancement mods are essential to ELS to make them bright. I would recommend VisualV or MVGA, should fix your problem 🙂

v1.05 is the latest version of ELS, so I would recommend that 😉

I just purchased a newer gaming computer. I used this mod lots before. For the life of me, I can not get this mod to work at all. I have tried different xml files, and when I press J or any other command the els mod wont work.  Also, when I get into a police car, some lights stay on solid, and Ive tried every button for els and they wont shut off.

NEVERMIND! I figured it out!!! I suddenly remembered I needed to install Scripthookv and now everything is working.

    change something called (car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on to 300.0)and (car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on to 200.0) the path is OpenIV-mods-update-update.rpf-common-data-visualsettings.dat. no extra mods needed.

    I'm not sure if anyone has covered this or not, but I'm noticing when you pull a suspect over and it says "Hold E to use megaphone" you know, the option to make them move pull over sooner, or another location. It doesn't seem to work for me now that I've installed ELS. Is there a way around this, or a setting I have to modify?

    Is it possible to change the writing in an ELS.xml to change the name of the sirens used? for example:

    If you want to change ELS to use with firetrucks.

    Is this possible? Cause it'd be really nice to be able to use both ELS cop sirens and ELS firetruck sirens at the same time.

    Hello everyone, my PC doesn't have a VRAM and graphic card of the best and I have to play using medium graphic settings and often the game or lspdfr crashes. Anyway, I ask: is this ELS version compatible with the latest GTA/RPH/LSPDFR update? And what about my VRAM? Do you think ELS could slow down my gameplay?

    Not sure if you'll get back to me, but i was wondering if there was a way to have extra siren buttons. For examples 1-8 or something. And if there is a way, is it possible to add only 2 siren tones from different sirens?

    Really like this plugin and i used it along time but now i reinstalle gta5 and also need to reinstall lspdfr and co and i dosn´t works. ELS don´t start the key lock is deactivatet and the virus scanner also

     

    Can anyone help me?

    For those who have updated their game version.

    ScriptHookV does not support the new GTA V version and RAGE will not allow you to start the game with this ScriptHookV.

    You need to wait until ScriptHookV will be updated and support the new version of GTA.

    I don't know if this will help but I had an issue where my RAGE and game would load as normal then just stop, no crash or anything. Found out that you need to add your GTA V folder location to your security software's exceptions. If a certain plugin like ELS won't work then when you load your game and RAGE click the cog and select load all mods. There is a current problem with Rockstar having their own Game Launcher which will not load RAGE. What you need to is go to your game folder, launch the game 'GTAVLauncher', ket the game load then whilst its in the loading screen launch RAGE, let the game hook. Hopefully it helps a bit. Oh and you have to have everything up to date, as far as I know.

    I am going insane trying to get this to work, I am new to modding.. very new. I have tried placing in the .xml's into the els  pack default and replacing the els vehicles over the vehicles in the patch day 3. All I get is the wig wags in the back and nothing else. I have even tried reinstalling els and replacing the files. I have the visual v as well installed. Is there anyone that could give me advise or something I should have downloaded that I am missing? I have been having the same issue for months now and have tried several different cars aswell. Thanks.

    At the moment i can't get ELS to work on GTA5, it crashes the game. I believe it's the AdvancedHookV.dll doing it.
