[EUP] SAST Vest

Absolutely love the vest great work!

ok ive read all the comments im brand new to eup modding can someone give me a step by step the comments confused me can i put it in game somwhow without messing with another vest just put it in as an addon somehow? btw when i say brand new to modding eup i mean like right now first lesson from scratch ik nothing about it first attemt lol

Glad you enjoy it! To fix the purple/green appearance make sure to import it with the pixel format set to A8R8G8B8

I saw where that was mentioned, but was not 100% sure on how to do that

The shirt texture was from sergeantfranki's sast pack

This Vest Isent in my eup

Installed it correctly but it isent in my eup menu

When I downloaded this mod, the file is a png and not a ydd. Does anyone have some insight?

The download only provided a png instead of the ytd/yft so is there something I'm supposed to do? Really want this flak would appreciate a response, thanks in advance!

This download is only a texture the model download is in the description

I understand that part. I have the models from EUP Vest & Earpiece. What I don't understand is that how do insert your PNG file to the YTD? Or how to convert your file to ytd.. if that makes sense

Well Fuck. I figured it out finally lol For my those who still don't know.. follow these steps.....this is how I got it to work. Keep in mind you can rename the textures to your specific desired location, however if you don't know what that means then just stick to my way below...Hopefully you already have "EUP - Law & Order" by Alex Ashfold...

1. Download both this file and "Eup & Earpiece" by HANAKO.

***Install Model from "Eup & Earpiece"***

2. Open OpenIV and navigate to:

            - mods / update / x64 / dlcpacks / eup / dlc.rpf / x64 / eup_componentpeds.rpf / mp_m_freemode_01_mp_m_hesit3

2.1. Open "EUP & Earpiece" folder navigate to:

            - EUP_VEST_EARPIECE_1.1 / Files / Vest 4 / Setup 2 / mp_m_freemode_01_mp_heist3

2.2 ONLY drag and drop the YDD file to the OpenIV navigation from step 2. You do not need the YTD file because that's a texture you will not use because you want PEEP's texture obviously. The YDD file is labeled as: task_002_u.ydd

***Install Texture from PEEP "[EUP] SAST Vest"***

         - OpenIV should still be on the step 2 navigation address because you will install PEEP's texture here. If you are not there then follow step 2 before going to step 3.

3. Open "SAST Vest" folder and navigate to:

         - You should only have two PNG files from PEEP's download. It does not matter which one you pick because the texture is the same. 

4. In OpenIV scroll down and double left click on : task_diff_002_a_uni.ytd

5. On the top left corner you will see a plus sign in a circle that says "Import". Click on import.

6. Navigate to where you have the "SAST Vest" folder and click one of the two png files that PEEP provided.

7. Once the png has been imported, make sure that PEEP's texture is the only texture in the task_diff_002_a_uni.ytd. If not, then on the top right click on the view icon with                    9 little black boxes, then click on the other texture, and then click on the "delete" icon with the trash symbol on the upper right corner.

8. When PEEP's vest is the only texture in the task_diff_002_a_uni.ytd, finally click "Save" on the bottom right corner.

You Should be all set! I tried making this as simple and easy as possible, but if you're still confused hit me up. I struggled for like 3 weeks just to get this to work so I hope I can help some of the newer LSPDFR users out there.
