This is a Federal Signal EQ2B mod I made. Siren tones are horn, wail, yelp, and priority.

Demo video:

YOU MUST HAVE SIREN MASTERY BY ALBO1125

Also, download my Whelen Epsilon siren mod to make the dual siren experience more realistic!!!

I'm all up for downloading sirens etc, and these sounds great from the YouTube videos, but I have nothing but bad luck with them.. Is it me or is the siren system in GTA V so damn confusing...

The past 3 hours I've been trying to figure it out, and it seems ridiculous to me. I've been using the car in slot 'Police'. When I drive the vehicle, I have 4 tones (which I've replaced a million times in Open IV to no effect), yet when the AI drive it, it has the siren I want. Even if I take their car, I don't have the same siren.. I've no idea how all of it works..

I previously had your 'Classic CHP Siren' in (fantastic btw, just feeling a change), and I renamed the new sirens to the same name as your CHP ones, and even then it still doesn't work on the vehicle... o.O

If it's optimised for fbi vehicles, I'll rename it to be the name of the tones used by slots 'Police' etc, yet that seemingly doesn't work..

For peace of mind can you tell me what on earth I'm doing wrong?!

Excellent, love the EQ2B, a quick request if I may though. Would you be able to make the FDNY one? I know V is based on LA but I've always felt the FDNY have the best version of the EQ2B out there. And if possible also include their horn they use to blast through traffic.

This is the same version EQ2B as FDNY. Only difference between LAFD and FDNY is that FDNY has Priority tone enabled! I'm working on a fire truck horn as well!

Oh awesome, couldn't really tell as the dual tone was playing over the EQ2B tone. Going to throw it in game now, cheers!

It took me a looooooong while to get sirens down too. Thanks to Albo1125's new SirenMastery mod though, you don't have to worry about naming and replacing files with 0x0 blah blah blah. You can name audio files things such as "epsilonwail" and "EQ2Byelp" and bind each individual sound to number keys to pair with a vehicle of your choice. SirenMastery can be downloaded here:

I have literally just figured out that I was still trying to sort sirens through OpenIV.. I didn't realise that SirenMastery actually loads the sirens from the vehicles folder within the mod, and not through the game. That would explain why the siren was changing even when the AI had the right one.

As for settings up your own sirens with their own names such as "epsiolonwail" etc etc, how would I go about that? I've read the readme but not sure. Would I put the sirens in the 'Custom Sirens' folder? If yes, then what next to get them working on the vehicle?

Thanks for helping btw, it's greatly appreciated.

So say you have the epsilon. Re-name the siren tones to "epsilonwail" "epsilonyelp" "epsilonpier" and "epsilonhilo" and put them in the custom sirens folder. Then in the "VehicleSirenSetup" you replace the names such as "policeprimary" with the ones you re-named and it will read the sirens out of the custom sirens folder instead!

Ah awesome! So now I only really need to change sirens through OpenIV if I want the AI to have them? That sounds awesome. How did you get the dual tones running btw? :)

Don't even need to do that! You can use sirens for everything as long as you dump them in the custom sirens folder and pair them up. To get dual tone you turn on a siren and then you hold down shift and select another siren tone.

Dude, thank you so so much... I've been loving LSDPFR and everything about it, apart from the damn sirens. I had SirenMastery but found the readme a little tricky as if I recall correctly it didn't tell you which line to replace for the siren name! This is a seriously awesome script, and your sirens sound great by the way! Thank your for explaining it now. I can now have the older CHP siren on the older models, with the new one on the latest. (Your FS P500 is used on the more modern CHP vehicles, correct?)

You seem knowledgeable on the game and its functions, so I'm going to pop you a couple of questions if that's alright?

Firstly, do you know how to disable certain functions that are binded to the Xbox controller while playing on PC? I'd like to change a couple, but see no way how.

Secondly, I created a post but have had no replies: I have tried replacing all the radio sounds for when dispatch or another officer keys up on their radio (have tried changing them to Motorola and Sepura radio tones as opposed to the standard LSPDFR ones), now some of them work, but more often than not, I have an incredibly annoying static sound that plays instead. Replacing the files with the original LSPDFR ones fix them. Is there some sort of limit that says a file can only play for so long before it is replaced by the annoying sound? There's a video with my post, so if you would like to watch that if you can help me then that's there.

Apologies for bombarding it all on you, but thought I would while I could.

Once again mate, I really appreciate your help.

You have to download Siren Mastery from Albo1125 and add them in the custom sirens folder

Right but you have to have the correct vehicle folder in the Siren Mastery folder.

Yeah. Just cut and paste the audio files into the "custom sirens" folder and name the sirens correctly for the correct vehicles in that vehicles file.

Thank you for helping me. I just installed your siren and Siren Mastery itself crashed, not the game. Here is my vehicle siren setup... 7253bd140630faa4b472367c484894e3.png

First question I have is we do not have to put this into openiv? albo told me to do so on youtube 4 hours ago.

Second question is do I need to do anything to my vehicles folder? I asked if I need to cut and paste the sirens into the folder and you said yes. Can I do that if they aren't the correct name (yours are called EQ2Bect while the audio files in the folder are called like 0x0E0DA7BC)? This is whats in my custom siren folder...

Sorry to be a hassle. Hopefully I just put something in the wrong place. Thanks

Drop this siren into the custom Sirens folder and instead of "police yelp" you write in EQ2Byelp and it will read the files from the custom sirens folder I'll make an installation video to show you.

This is a regular Q2B. In this video at 0:13 is the EQ2B.

This siren mod was taken from an EQ2B itself lol. They sound very similar.

They really don't if you're around sirens frequently and really pay attention to this stuff.
