You should provide a YouTube video or something to give a sample of the sounds.

There is a readme file included, it tells you what to do.

Ok so I got the pistol sound to work (sounds great especially with the Max Payne 3 glock)

However, I'm having issues with the taser. I export weapons.awc with open formats, then drag the provided files into the weapons folder and overwrite them. However after I do this I cannot find weapons.oac. If I delete the weapons folder or move it to my recycle bin, weapons.oac appears but I cannot drag that one over as it comes up with an error.

Buddy, the readme sucks.

You have written: Click Edit Mode and drag & drop the .aoc in it's directory.

There're only .awc files in the RESIDENT folder.

Where to put the weapons.aoc and how?

Could you be more specific?

Okay, now i got it.

I have to click in an empty space and select import....... open formats

Since the Readme provided in the download is a bit confusing let me explain how to install the taser sound.

1. Navigate to GTAV\mods\x64\audio\sfx\RESIDENT.rpf\.

2. Right click on weapons.awc and click on "Export to openFormats (.oac)".

3. Save to your desktop and do it again and save to desktop.

4. You should now have a "weapons" folder with all the sounds in it and a "weapons" folder with an .oac extension (hover over it to see the .oac extension).

5. Create a new folder on your desktop and drag both "weapons" files in this new folder.

6. Click on the "weapons" folder with all the sounds in it and replace the taser sounds by dragging and replacing the existing ones.

7. Now in the RESIDENT.rpf folder rightclick somewhere to the right of the files and click on "Import openFormats".

8. Navigate to the "weapons.oac" folder and click on that folder. Click "Ok" and now your files have been replaced.

To check if your weapon sounds have indeed been replaced just double click on the weapons.awc folder and scroll to for example the "CHARGE" sound and click play.

No matter what I do, after open formats gets opened, it doesn't pick up the audio file.

the charge sound works but the shoot sound doesnt change

^ I wonder if a recent update changed the file structure for the taser sound effect? I can hear the charge sound but the shot sound, "0x1178999F.wav", doesn't play-- nor is it in the weapons.awc folder after exporting, replacing, and importing.

Nevermind, this fixes it:

@Manashirov listed a fix on another page:

You need to rename "0x1178999F.wav" to "GTA5_GUN_STUN1.wav" before you replace the files and import them. This will make the deploy/fire sound work again. I think one of the updates changed the file structure for the stun gun.
