Nice job and everything but haven't there been dozens of this model before? It seems like theres a new LAPD CVPI coming out every week now.

There weren't any perfect ones. Cj24's lapd crown vic was pretty much perfect, but I prefer bugz's arjent lightbar, besides I had this project going on before cj, I just didn't get the lightbar from bugz soon.

Thanks but I already edited Cj24's paintjobs, I added all the existing decals to the rear bumper (D.A.R.E. KNOW Kidnapping and the others).

Also those aren't colored lights, that's the reflection of the plastic cover on top of it.

On some pictures you can't even see the reflection, and that's why the lightbar sometimes look all chrome.

However if you want to make the red and blue part more stronger, you can always edit the emerglights_emis texture. There you can find a red and blue arjent led, if you increase the saturation of those, I'm sure it'll turn out nice. That's how I'd do it.

Sorry I meant to say: "emerglights" texture, and the edit button doesn't work here. Also I might release a texture here which makes the red and blue part stronger.

And sorry for triple post but here's the more saturated version:

Hey Sgt. Kanyo, its Spitfire again. I helped you with some details on the MX7000 since I live here in LA. I see you have a new 2008 LAPD with FedSig very nice. Just wanted to point out your work is amazing, but for one touch of added realism, the rear amber lights are different from the MX7000 in that instead of just one light on each side flashing, they use two lights on each side for the Arjent FedSig when front steady burns are on. Should look like this. 00---- and ----00 back and forth when in 2nd position on the light bar switch (ELS Secondaries) for traffic stops. Here's a video to show you what Im talking about.

Also I made this to specifically show you what Im talking about,

Here's the breakdown. The LAPD Fed Sig Arjent bars do come with the 0------ and -----0 option, but rarely to hardly ever will they use it. This is when the switch is in the 1st postion which only lights up just the two outer rear amber lights and NO front steady burns. I reiterate, they hardly to never use this option. Whenever I see an LAPD car on the side its always 00---- and ----00 with front steady burns ON and that will be in the 2nd position for the control switch. So if you want steady burns ON the front then its the 2nd switch postion and the rear ambers look like this 00---- and ----00. Then the 3rd switch position is then of course full code 3. So this is just for added realism. Like I said again, every since I have lived in LA I have never seen the LAPD FedSig Arjent bar with only the first 0----- -----0 option. They always use the 2nd option so that the front steady burns are always on. Dont mean to sound redundant just want to be super clear.

Here's the working light system. 0 = On or flashing

rear front

1st: 0----0 --------

2nd: 00--00 --O--O--

3rd: 000000 00O00O00

Hope that helps. Heres a video to inistrate this exactly. Keep in mind 1st position there are no front steady burns. If you want steady burn on in the front the rear has to look 00--00 flashing back and forth.

Oh I thought it also had steady burns at front. Goddamnit, I changed the whole light system because of that since most of the times I only saw them using the 2 side ambers. I based it exactly on the last video you sent lol. Alright I'll fix that, and also I might update the Arjent lightbar a bit as well.

Incredible job on both of your LAPD cars, Sgt. Kanyo. Would it be possible to see an ELS-version of the 2005+ NYPD/LCPD Crown Victoria with a Vision Lightbar and the Driver San Francisco model anytime soon? The few that are available have odd handling, textures don't align correctly, and they have no rear-facing blue lighting. Thanks again for your incredible work and additions to LCPDFR/GTA IV. :D

How do you want to know you started earlier?

Btw, next time, ask for permission before using or even editing my skins.

You have to rename police.wft and police.wtd into police2.wft and police2.wtd, import those into vehicles.img, then open up handling.dat and you have to look for POLICE2 handling line, you replace that with my added handling, then you open vehicles.ide, look for the line police2 and you add a +livery at the end of line.
