Ohio State Patrol CVPI by NickieB

:excl: v1.3 released - Various minor updates and exterior radar units -

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW. THIS VEHICLE INCLUDES A DIFFERENT SKIN TEMPLATE

- This CVPI was created to represent the Ohio State Patrol CVPI as closely as possible. Since they use all blue lighting, only blue lighting will be available for this vehicle.

- The secondaries are mapped to the rear lighting to better represent the real car.

- The lightbar glass has its own texture now instead of it being mapped to the emerglights file. I did this so the color was easier to change. Info on the lightbar glass below.

- A new vehicle template is also being released with this car, the changes can be seen in the screenshots below. The "bumper trim" is now editable from the template as well as the door pillars and door jams.

- Please feel free to comment below with any issues, concerns or feedback

Yeah, you need to have your texture quality and resolution set at medium, that is the minimum. If you have a lower spec PC that may be an issue, however you have to give up some things for quality and detail. For me a few less frames was worth the vehicle quality.

The overall resolution can be set to whatever but the "texture resolution" needs to be set to at least medium. The car is already high poly to start with and when you add all the police equipment it just makes the file size bigger. Nothing I can do about that. The car works and I stand behind that 100%

Sorry buddy, I've talked to a few other modelers and they've all said the same thing. The problem is the car being high poly. Its setup correctly in zmodeler so there really isn't anything else I can do except offer you the "texure resolution" fix. You obviously tried that but lost a lot of quality. Only other thing I would say to try is some command lines. I wouldn't know which one to tell you to use but its worth a try if you want to get the car to work. Just google GTA IV command lines and you'll find lists of them and the way to install them

I was driving yesterday and they have speed radars on the roof and hanging of the lightbars like so.

The top light bar needs to be blue where the actual lights are instead of being clear like they are now other than that great job.

does anyone know of the light bar exactly like this that has full ta aroung the rear and doesnt have the 3 step lights mixed with the ta, but has step 3 all around the front and side, and just a little around the back. its also a thicker light bar. i saw one early this week doing a construction escort duty... in central texas.
