  1. If you don't have scripthook you shouldn't be able to play lcpd:fr. If you need to install scripthook, just grab this: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=392325 The only major difference between trafficflowv5 and v5r2 is that in r2 you can customise the frequency of game-car-memory updates and the frequency of random emergency vehicles that spawn. So just install v5r2:
  2. You'll have to reinstall the entire game to replace the vehicles.img if you haven't backed it up. No members of this forum should be willing to send you a copy of their own file as I do not believe it is legal.
  3. Are you attempting to apply the patch to a modded version of the game?
  4. Oh right derp and that looked fine. I'll see if I can find anything else for you to try but my game launches a little differently (as it's through steam).
  5. They should already be downloaded as they are essential to LCPD:FR running. They've just been packaged with traffic flow incase someone installs traffic flow without them. Just copy across TrafficFlow.net.dll and TrafficFlow.ini to your /scripts folder
  6. I'm just guessing pretty blindly here but it doesn't sound specifically mod related since you haven't gotten ingame and that's all I can think of. It doesn't sound like a save file error either because again, you haven't gotten ingame yet. Can you run a diagnostic? http://www.lcpdfr.com/forum-20/announcement-5-need-support-read-this-first/
  7. As per the readme document inside the rar archive (you need winrar to open it) "// G17 Media // Traffic Flow Mod // GTAIV // --------------------------------------------------- // TRAFFIC FLOW README // - V1 (April 2011) // - © Copyright 2009-2010, G17 Media // --------------------------------------------------- Traffic Flow V5 is a simple script for GTA IV that updates the game's memory every 15 seconds with vehicles of your choice which helps to provide more diverse traffic within GTA IV. To change the vehicles which Traffic Flow should load to the game's memory - open the TrafficFlow.ini configuration settings and read the instructions contained withih. To install TrafficFlow V5, make sure you have an ASI loader, the C++ Scripthook and an up-to-date version of the .NET Scripthook. Simply copy over TrafficFlow.net.dll and TrafficFlow.ini to your /scripts folder in your GTA IV or EFLC directory. TrafficFlow operates automatically and does not require any manual action once in-game." ie, drag the .dll file and the .ini files from the rar archive to this folder: gtaivscripts
  8. It is a legitimate copy and it is patched to 1.0.7 right? So when the game didn't have the mod installed it worked fine when you launched it that way, but now that you have installed the mod, you can't launch it the same way without it erorring? Could be related to games for windows live launching with the mod. Did you install xliveless (I think it's an option while installing the mod)?
  9. Why are you running it through that rather than just a dekstop icon?
  10. No idea what the issue could be there then, try restarting your computer to see if it's just your browser or internet connection having trouble.
  11. The mod looks like it's running fine, does the game run unmodded? (Vanilla). Does it work without running as administrator?
  12. I used Chrome and it was fine. Maybe if you ask Sam really nice he can upload it onto here in addition to GPM. e: Sam would we expect any downsides to duplicating the trafficflow script like that? Very tempting.
  13. Does the music cut out? (that indicates the game has crashed but not closed) If it doesn't then it's having trouble loading something so I'd say it's likely to be effected by a mod. Do you have the latest version of GTA?
  14. Yeah worked fine. Can you view the download page alright? I'm a member of the GPM forums so I'm not sure if you have to be or not. Try a different browser?
  15. Here we go: http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=778
  16. The mod only works with 1.0.7 I believe.
  17. Do you happen to have a link to R2? I thought I had it but my config file doesn't have a line about random dispatches
  18. How does it get stuck? I had a problem where the music cut off and it would just stick on 'loading - the mission' and maybe crash eventually. I repaired my copy of GTA and installed the latest (rc2-r2) installer and it worked.
  19. Do you have winrar installed (rarlab.com) Can you choose to use winrar if you use the dropdown box to select a specific program?
  20. Make sure your data folder and the files inside aren't read only when you install it. ... Make sure the 'Install LCPDFR Taser' checkbox is checked. and make sure you're not using the old installer.
  21. If you select EFLC and you don't have it, you will just be prompted to buy it at the Games for Windows Live online marketplace.
  22. How many threads have you made? Did you eventually turn off error logging? Also you need to start using Google.
  23. Does GTAIV work on it's own without any mods?
  24. Type ppm in the lcpd database to get rpg mode ;)
