CobraEmergencyGames reacted to Post Design in Gta V Police AiLOS SANTOS POLICE DEPT.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I saw that there was a discussion about the improved/lacked police vehicles in GTA V. Sure, the "ELS" system and
the large choice of emergency vehicles is pretty impressive, but what I found even more impressive are the actual police themselves.
I found officers with realistic patches(Sergeant, Lieutenant, etc.), bulletproof vests, better looking shotguns, a high school diploma,
sweet looking holsters, better "NOOSE" (SWAT Teams), and more.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The officer to the right (I'll call him Officer Buckley).
Buckley has his hands on his equipment belt with his shades resting on his forehead. He looks more fit for duty then the cops from GTA IV in my opinion
(Or any GTA game). He looks more stronger and more "serious"(But not too much, as this is a GTA titled game).
There's also the addition of female cops into the GTA Series which is nice considering males aren't the only ones that carry the badge in real life.
Some officers (Like the female officer in the middle) don't have a gun in their holster which is interesting to me.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Officer Buckley's cousin, Officer Spence(Left), has something new to officers in the GTA Series: A patch.
Spence's patch looks to be an "Officer III" patch, but I could be wrong. It also seems that cops were
introduced into the world of texting in GTA V, as it is common to see officers (Like my pal Spence) on their iFruit phones.
You can also find officers drinking a good cup of Bean Machine Coffee or smoking some Redwood Cigarettes.

A thing that's not hard to notice are the random events/chases performed by the LSPD.
I missed these from when I played GTA SA back when I still had a Playstation 2.
These events involve gunfire, arrests, reckless driving, etc.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The "NOOSE" (Or the LSPD SWAT) got a big uniform upgrade in GTA V.
They look more realistic and don't look like the cheap, toy-like NOOSE in GTA IV.
NOOSE Officers can also ride on the side steps of their Declasse Granger,
enter the ground from helicopters via rope,
and use fully automatic tactical weapons like in previous games.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Things I've noticed in pursuits are that officers will actually try to ram you of the road.
The nice thing about this is that they actually tend to ruin my escape a lot with this real life method.
Also, road blocks will be called in(Police Transporter), officers will equip vests at 2 stars, air support will
be called in at 3 stars, and the NOOSE will be called in at 4 stars.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
If you happen to "find" a dead civilian, and you call 911, a couple of LSPD officers will actually respond
and sit around/investigate waiting for EMS (That is if the EMS respond. If not, call them) to arrive.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
If you loiter around officers for a long amount of time, they'll soon warn you. If you don't
leave (You should) They'll open fire on you as they take their motto "Obey and Survive"
very seriously. This is probably due to minutes in GTA V being shorter than real life
minutes, making you stand in front of that officer for longer then it seems.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The LSPD now search for you now instead of having x-ray vision and instantly knowing your
location like in GTA IV. Each squad (1 squad = 2 officers), helicopter, NOOSE Unit, etc.
Has a "cone" which is the area they're looking at to try and find you, the guy that just
murdered some people. When 2 officers get into one squad (A car) they form one cone
unlike when the two officers split up to form two smaller cones. The biggest cones I've seen
are the ones the helicopters have which makes sense as they're in the air. The player can
hide in dense bushes, tunnels, forests, behind buildings, inside buildings, on top of buildings,
etc. Rockstar definitely improved the pursuit system in GTA V which makes it more intense and
fun when being chased by the police. Just don't get chased in real life...
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The police AI in GTA V have changed drastically. From more detailed uniforms to more sophisticated pursuits,
Los Santos (And Los Santos County) has the best police force is the GTA Series yet. Let me know if I left anything out.
Just like you, I can't wait until we're able to mod this amazing game.

Please, let's keep this classic only :) Beautiful Porsche, reminded me of these curious pictures of the day that the direction of traffic in Sweden was changed to the right in 1967.

CobraEmergencyGames reacted to FCV96 in The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car ThreadYou can't speak of classic police cars without mentioning movies and scenes, of course. Case in point, the 1968 NYPD Plymouth Fury in The Seven-Ups (1973). [see 4:56]
As well as its later blue/white counterparts;

v 1982-1989 Gran Fury

Oh dear. This is right up my alley. I was just thinking about doing this too. Here are some pics. Some are from the Original Gone In 60 Seconds movie (GO SEE IT). There's also the local Portland, OR PD cruiser, Beaverton, OR used to have a Merc by the looks of this old photo, and Seattle cruiser. Those will be first.
Here are the Gone In 60 Seconds cars (Long Beach, LAPD, LASD, CHP). Cool thing about the movie, the police in the whole movie are real cops. They did use the HB Hallicky's personal cars that were turned into cops though. Also, I'd like to note that the Dodge Coronet, is one of my favorite cops from the movie. Something about that thing looks mad as hell.

CobraEmergencyGames got a reaction from Lozano71 in The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car ThreadYep way too many US CVPI cop cars! I like it, but there's just so many mods that it is in no way unique.
-
Good thread, great cars. It is a pity that these cars are not made for a GTA 4.
And again, once a week steadily goes another version of CVPI 1998-2011. I have nothing against this car, but it's already too much.

Here are a few old Aussie police cars (from different states across Australia)
This was a movie car, but the XB Falcon MFP interceptor is beautiful

CobraEmergencyGames got a reaction from strike in The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car ThreadAnd now it's time to invade your Americanised topic with some good ol' British Police mobiles!
P.S Sorry about the poor quality of some, some of this is before I got good at photography!
Your files all appear to be corrupt. :s
But here, I have included an old CHP CVPI from my archives, just for you!

The Talbot Horizon (5th pic) was widely used in my country in law enforcement, as well as in Army (at least Air Force) if I'm not mistaken. Here's one of the Ertzaintza, the police agency which enforces the Basque Country, the region where I reside.
Anybody knows which lightbar is using?
Policía Nacional, which operates statewide, using a Jetsonic. The paint job is the second one they used, which was later changed again.
Curiously enough, this agency kept some quite old cars in service until few years ago. In the station of the city I live in they had an old Nissan Patrol and a van I can't remeber which model was. I will create a more extensive post about older police vehicles in Spain in other occasion.
-
Since we are a fairly good amount of people around here who seem to be particularly interested in classic cars, I open this thread so we can discuss, post pictures and stuff of vintage law enforcement and other emergency vehicles. Hopefully this will turn into something real interesting!
I will get the ball rolling with these pictures I came across from 1976 of the arrest of some outlaw bikers by the Michigan State Patrol.
Notice the rare pushbar the MSP Plymouth has in the photos above. The only time I've seen it, most of them look like this.
Well, enjoy and feel free to contribute!
Please don't link pictures to the policecarwebsite.

CobraEmergencyGames reacted to DivineHustle in Finally some freedom in our favorIf you've got nothing illegal to hide, why does it matter if they search your phone? What privacy do you need if you've been obeying the law? I doubt an officer is going to care about you breaking up with that girl, and that guy buying two Chipotle burrito bowls.
-
CobraEmergencyGames reacted to Dayton17 in Finally some freedom in our favorIt isn't nearly a big enough deal as people will make it out to be. If someone is arrested their phone can be seized for the time being. That gives us plenty of time to get a search warrant, or in most cases, you just talk to their parole/probation officer. (If they have one). Cell phones are small computers, the difference between them is their portable. If they are on the person when they are arrested, the item can be seized by jail staff and given the circumstances you can apply for one later. Same would go for someone carrying a labtop around. The only thing this prevents is police looking through it right away, but in the end if we have reason to believe thetr is evidence on there, we will get in. Whether it's by a court ordered warrant, or the person's parole/probation officer.
On a side note, you realize cops episodes are extremely outdated. Often times by years. The article you posted also said police require a warrant to take blood from an individual if they refuse a breathalyzer. THat's completely false in my state. If you refuse blood in my state you'll get charged with refusal (charged in the same manner as DUI). So it will vary from state to state. I would know, I've had people not give me blood and they got two charges instead of one.

Maybe he is a real cop and he is telling you that he is an undercover cop so that you will doubt yourself into thinking that he isn't. But in actuality he really is a cop, but you don't think that he is because he told you, and real UCs don't say they are UC...or do they???
Was that confusing enough for ya?! :)
Or maybe you are the UC and you're telling us because you think that someone is on to you, and by telling us, they will doubt you're and actual UC....

CobraEmergencyGames reacted to Olanov in My Friend Knows An "Undercover Officer"You should find him and give him your social security number, credit card number and trust him with your most sacred secrets.
-
Slap him & tell him to get his head out of his ass, if you get arrested & charged for assaulting a peace officer, he's not lying, but if he cries like a bitch & nothing happens, he's lying.
-
Obviously he's a real cop. He showed his gun and badge.
It's a joke.

CobraEmergencyGames reacted toDeactivated Memberin Possibility to have separate sirens for separate vehicles?Well, we would need a script that can add sound files to the game.
Then, we need a script to make it so that those sound files will work on certain cars.
As easy as that may sound, it would be quite tough due to the game's limitations.
-
CobraEmergencyGames reacted to JWillMac51 in Possibility to have separate sirens for separate vehicles? Are you sure? Because the ambulance utilizes a phaser separate from all the other emergency vehicles. I feel like that's a hint that maybe there is a way.
