Cyan got a reaction from NFCorps16 in LSPDFR and futureIt's likely LSPDFR will enter maintenance mode and receive less updates, just like LCPDFR. Although it really depends on how "alive" the GTA V modding scene remains after GTA VI is released.
It's our intention that there will be a new version of the First Response series for GTA6. As for plans, considering there's not even a release date for GTA6 PC, it's hard for there to be anything solid on our side at the moment.

Cyan reacted to Gan Ceann in A Comprehensive Manifesto for LSPDFR 0.5: Unifying the Ecosystem, Native InHello,
Thank you for the suggestions. As SuperPyroManiac has stated, at least one of these features are already part of LSPDFR, you may want to play it yourself before providing improvement suggestions.
Regarding the other ideas. While it would be nice to have a fully fleshed out LSPDFR platform, like any other tool, you will find that one that has many features will never be as good as one designed for a specific task, so it does not make much sense for LSPDFR to integrate all of these modifications as the experience will never match a base LSPDFR with third party modifications that you tailor to your play-style. Another benefit to this is that you can keep LSPDFR as lightweight as you like.
On top of this, every time the game is updated, the amount of work required to update all of these tools will extend the wait time considerably. Currently these plugins get updated almost alongside the time frame of LSPDFR updates. Some even beforehand. I do think localisation would be beneficial however.

Cyan reacted to Gan Ceann in Game crashingI would usually suggest removing one at a time, but during testing it appeared that an updated gameconfig for the latest game version was required to get their mods folders working again.
Try updating your gameconfig first, re-enable the mods folder and see if it works

Cyan reacted to jpscalero in A Comprehensive Manifesto for LSPDFR 0.5: Unifying the Ecosystem, Native InDear LSPDFR Development Team and Community,
First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the creators of this modification. Keeping a project of this magnitude operational over so many years is a monumental achievement. The dedication of this team is the sole reason GTA V remains relevant for thousands of players today.
As a veteran player, I would like to offer a highly detailed, constructive roadmap regarding the current state of the mod and where I believe future major releases (such as a potential 0.5 version) should head.
The Current Problem: Ecosystem Fragmentation and Technical Debt Presently, to achieve a genuinely immersive and complete law enforcement simulation, players are forced to construct a fragile ecosystem of third-party plugins. A standard loadout requires the base LSPDFR mod plus StopThePed, UltimateBackup, CompuLite, EUP, ELS, PoliceSmartRadio, ResistPlus, SuspectSense, GrammarPolice, and multiple Callout packs.
Relying on 20+ disparate .dll and .asi files creates severe memory leaks, extreme FPS drops, and constant game crashes. To future-proof this mod, the core functionalities of these essential plugins must be absorbed and integrated natively into the base LSPDFR framework.
Here is an extensive breakdown of the native systems I propose:
1. A Unified, Native Interaction Engine (StopThePed Integration)
In-Depth Questioning: Native, dynamic dialogue trees. Suspects should be able to lie, attempt to bribe the officer, or exhibit nervous behavior.
Scene Management: Native options to physically grab suspects, perform breathalyzers, drug swab tests, and fully search a suspect's pockets or vehicle, yielding randomized, logical evidence.
2. Tactical AI & Advanced Backup Systems (UltimateBackup Integration)
Specialized Units: A native radial menu to call in specific assets: K9 units that can track scent trails, SWAT teams for dynamic entries, and Air Support.
Autonomous Tactical AI: Backup AI programmed to autonomously perform safe PIT maneuvers and set up spike strips.
3. Comprehensive Police Computer & Legal System (CompuLite Integration)
Citations and Arrest Reports: A native UI where officers can issue specific citations and log reports based on persistent pedestrian background histories.
Evidence-Based "Aftermath" System: A post-arrest notification detailing the court's verdict days later. Crucially, court persistence must be logical: whether the suspect is sentenced to prison or acquitted and released should strictly depend on whether the player managed to collect and present sufficient evidence at the scene (weapons, drugs, testimonies).
4. Advanced Lighting and Siren Control (ELS Integration)
Native Multi-Stage Lighting: LSPDFR should natively overwrite the game’s siren mechanics to provide a built-in Stage 1, 2, and 3 lighting system for routine traffic stops, stealth approaches, and high-speed pursuits.
Independent Siren Toggles: The ability to cycle through different siren tones independently of the visual light stages.
5. Native Wardrobe & Character Customization (EUP Integration)
Native MP Character System: LSPDFR should natively utilize GTA Online multiplayer (Freemode) ped models directly within the police station locker room.
Integrated High-Quality Uniforms: Pre-packaged, high-quality realistic tactical gear and uniforms for all major agencies (LSPD, BCSO, SAHP).
6. Interactive Radio HUD (PoliceSmartRadio Integration)
Visual Radio Interface: Scrolling through text menus during a high-speed chase is dangerous. LSPDFR needs a native, on-screen visual radio HUD that allows players to request a tow truck or coroner with a simple click.
7. Unpredictable Suspect Behavior & Pursuit Awareness (ResistPlus & SuspectSense Integration)
Dynamic Resistance: Suspects should natively have a chance to suddenly fight back, draw a weapon, or flee on foot midway through a calm questioning or while being handcuffed.
Pursuit Awareness: A native tracking feature that highlights a fleeing suspect's general direction or last known position, simulating police intuition and adrenaline.
8. A Truly Living Jurisdiction (AmbientEmergencyTraffic Integration)
Native Ambient Services: AI police, fire trucks, and ambulances should natively respond to their own emergencies across the map with lights and sirens. Hearing sirens in the distance makes the city feel like a real, breathing jurisdiction.
9. Dynamic Dispatch and Voice Commands (GrammarPolice Integration)
Native Voice Recognition: Integrating native Windows speech recognition so players can request backup and run plates via their microphone.
10. Greater Diversity and Depth of Native Callouts The base game becomes repetitive very quickly, forcing players to install dozens of unstable packs.
Callout Roster Expansion: LSPDFR needs to natively include between 10 and 20 new, varied callouts. This should include normal patrol calls, highly immersive calls, and long-duration investigative calls (lasting 15 to 20 minutes).
Warrant Execution / Bounty Hunting: A specific callout where the officer receives the details of a wanted fugitive and must actively search the city to locate and arrest that specific person based on their last known whereabouts.
11. Crucial Quality of Life: Native Localization (Multi-Language Support)
Official Language Files: Implementing an externalized, native localization system (JSON/XML) for languages like Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese, exponentially expanding LSPDFR’s global player base without requiring broken, third-party translations.
Conclusion By absorbing these scattered community concepts into a single, optimized, official codebase, LSPDFR would become exponentially more stable, performant, and immersive. Thank you for your continued passion for this incredible project.

Cyan got a reaction from JIKMED in LSPDFR for GTA Enhanced now available for Insiders: a short updateStatus Updates
LSPDFR for Enhanced
We're very excited to announce that LSPDFR Enhanced, after months of development and testing, is now entering the next phase of the development process and is now available to our Insiders. We are deeply grateful to everyone in our staff team and closed testing community for their feedback and support that have brought us to this point.
The current build is largely stable, though a handful of bugs remain and we are not yet feature complete with Legacy. Development is advancing quickly, and each new revision brings us closer to a fully polished release.
Several community members have asked whether the Legacy edition will continue to receive attention. Both RAGEPluginHook and LSPDFR have been engineered to accommodate the Legacy and Enhanced branches side‑by‑side. With most of the heavy lifting complete, our goal is to roll out updates to both editions in parallel.
As soon as we’ve smoothed out the last few wrinkles and made sure everything runs flawlessly, we can’t wait to roll out LSPDFR Enhanced to everyone.
The new LCPDFR.com
Work on the redesigned LCPDFR.com is progressing steadily. The site and its companion, RDR2Mods.com, run on the same underlying codebase.
An early version of the community upgrade is already live on RDR2Mods.com, allowing us to gather real‑world feedback, refine new concepts, and further stabilize the platform before bringing the enhancements to LCPDFR.com.
We thank you all for your patience and continued enthusiasm, and hope to share even more with you soon.

Cyan reacted to TrentMU in What Is It? DLS vs ELS vs Non-ELSQuick summary of my take on the 3 lighting systems for GTA V. (ELS, ELS Hybrid, DLS). I posted this on my Discord a few months ago and people seem to understand the difference between the 3 lighting systems used for LSPDFR (I do not play FiveM so I have no knowledge with those) so they have a better understanding on how and what the different types of lighting are used for gaming. From the San Andreas days of Emergency Lighting Mod (ELM) to IV with ELS to V with ELS, to ELS Hybrid to DLS, I have seen and used it all. Recently, I have done a convert of my game and development work to DLS from ELS. I enjoy ELS, but I enjoy DLS more as I can be more creative with patterns and lighting. So let's break down and give a short, sweet, simple run down of what you see people creating now. Lastly, don't try and take credit for this list, it's sad I have to say that but please credit where it's due if you were to use this list.
Emergency Lighting System (ELS)
Pros
Simplicity (Very new user friendly)
Config lighting stages easily / change patterns
Largest vehicle pool due to age
Cons
Limited on lighting
"Floaters" if want to use lights on moving vehicle parts (Doors, Trunk, Compartment Doors)
Limited pattern creations
No further development
12 Extras only. (Realistically, 10 is what most devs use)
Emergency Lighting System Hybrid (ELS + Non ELS)
Pros
Custom lighting config / patterns
Large variety of extras can be used (TA, Flood, Cruise)
Easily adaptable to ELS controls
32 sirens + 12 extras can be used to create
Cons
Stage 3 lighting only
Cannot change lighting patterns
Limited lighting controls
No further development (Due to it being ELS controlled)
Dynamic Lighting System (DLS)
Pros
ELS on crack.
Large variety of what lights can do (Stages, TA, Alley, Cruise, Brake Override, Patterns, Sync System, etc)
Vehicles become advanced with lighting controls (Multiple vehicles can run off 1 XML)
Cons
Lengthy XML creation / edits (Not new user friendly unlike ELS)
Compatible with ELS but must disable extra patch in the dls.ini to work
Potential crashing issues when using both ELS and DLS
Majority of LSPDFR users use ELS
Restricted to 32 sirens only
AI vehicles can ONLY use police audio hash to enable sirens.
Very slow development / updates
I know I have missed stuff or maybe a few things were updated since I created this back in April 2026 but still holds general true and ideal for people to understand. Please feel free to post any questions / comments / concerns as I am willing to be assist the best I can with this topic.
If this is in the wrong section, apologizes!
Happy modding folks!

Cyan got a reaction from RangerPython in Where would your acceptance level in pricetag be reachedI’m genuinely a little surprised the base price isn’t $100 and that Rockstar wasn’t the company to lead the industry there.
Inflation, wages, R&D and general operating costs, even things like electricity, have all risen sharply in recent years. Even major studios backed by Microsoft and Sony are struggling with the cost of developing modern games.
From a consumer stand point it sucks and I'm likely to buy games less, but it is what it is.

Cyan got a reaction from Max911 in 🚔 LCPDFR Revival Project - Bringing LCPDFR Back to GTA IV Complete EditionHey! Fantastic to hear about your project.
LCPDFR as mentioned by Gan Ceann, is already open source, and a great deal of engineering effort to make it run on Complete Edition has been made by us; https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta4mods/g17media/26726-compatibility-patch-for-gta-iv-complete-edition/
Our compatibility patch suite already fixes Scripthook .NET, patches aru's C++ scripthook and fixed AdvancedHook. The legacy edition that ships with LCPDFR to this day, supports Complete Edition.
Any further work is always appreciated, and we look forward to reviewing any pull requests or patches you make against LCPDFR.

Cyan reacted to BunBoHue in Clearing up DLS and Addon Cars MisconceptionsYou make a very good point. I think with enhance the process of modding and some restrictions on EUP and custom cars might be a factor in why people might not want to switch. But if I am wrong then please do correct me.
As for the DLS situation, it is quite late to really make any big switch or change as you mentioned. But I hope at least by posting something, some people will at least give it a try and see the benefits it has. Thank you for engaging with my post I really appreciate it.
