I am in a good mood this morning so I am going to give you the chance to edit your post with the info you were asked to provide. Go back and use the troubleshooter again, but this time read it ! Then after you have read the info it asks / tells you to read and you have made sure you have done everything on the check list post your diagnostic report here. We don't make a troubleshooter and diagnostic tool for fun, it is there to help us help you.

It used to be as simple as putting your Login name and password for the forum in First Response .ini file but now the mod uses an API number so I'm no longer sure. You may need to reinstal. Of course anyone is free to disagree and offer an alternative.

hehe :) yeah wasn't much to go on from the vid as I didn't look around much. Wish I had taken some screenshots now. It's the top left corner of Bohan. Butterfly street I think it is. But I will be now keeping an eye out for him again and see if he spawns all over the map. I would guess he only spawns during the day during working hours. I have seen him before when I was looking through peds in SNT. He has a roll of cable over his shoulder but before this I had never seen him at all, not even walking around. Amazing game. And why didn't I shoot him ? I was on duty and in uniform ;) EDIT: Yep I agree %100. Only yesterday I got a call with 0.95RC to a place I had never seen before. It was an entrance to a residential tower block that until then I didn't know you could enter.

Just a short clip. One of the reasons I love this game is it still surprises me from time to time. Maybe I go around with my eyes closed or something but I have never noticed the guy in the clip before. One reason I prob' notice him now is LCPDFR causes you to change the way you play. Quite often now I will cruise at 15 MPH on the look out for crime and because I am driving slower I notice more. Anyway just wondered how common is this guy.

Try: ForceDisplaySize=false and ForceAntialiasing=false in ENB.ini file.

No ideas here, I just wanted to wish you good luck. One suggestion maybe. Gaming is a huge huge subject. Maybe best to start a bit more focused on a particular area or genra. And then expand from there as you grow. Or identify something that is missing from the market and fill it. The big pitfall with trying to cover everything is you end up covering nothing well. Then again you gotta go with what you think best and what you want to do. If your passionate enough about it then it could work, but imo you face a huge uphill struggle. You will need to enjoy doing it and have perseverance and a thick skin. Hope you do well.

ATI HD 5870 1 Gig. I can play just about most games on max. Love the card just wish ATI Card names / numbers were not so confusing. Used to be an Nvidia Fanboy for many many years.

This ^^ if your using traffic flow that is. I find 40 works for me. To your origional point I guess you could record several seconds of silence as a .wav file and add it to horns replacing the siren of other vehicles you don't drive but that will have obvious downsides as well. Also I have no real idea if it actually is possible. Just thinking out loud.

Just an added bit of info related to lights and the ELS .ini file: I wanted to change my reflection colours as well. But I also found it annoying that 2 blocks away the reflections were still bouncing of the walls so if you didn't know allready Range_LightsP = will adjust the distance of the effect. Higher number to make the effect spread further lower to reduce it. Intens_LightsP = relates to how bright the effect is as I found that annoying too when too bright as it's like a game trying to force a seizure out of you. Just thought I would add that as I found it very helpfull in adjusting the overall effect to my liking. If you are using ELS then in your GTAIV folder you will see a file called ELS.ini it is a text file. Each emergency vehicle will have a section like this... [ FIRETRUCK ] Active = 1 Halogen_Only = 1 Color_Light1L = 0 Color_Light2L = 0 Color_Light3R = 0 Color_Light4R = 0 Color_Light7L = 3 Color_Light8C = 3 Color_Light9R = 3 Offst_SLights = 3 the numbers at the end are the ones you need to change. (note for some reason it doesn't always work on some models) this is what the numbers mean.. // Red 0 // Blue 1 // White 2 // Amber 3 // Green 4 If you notice from what I showed you the firetruck reflects red and amber 0 and 3 Try changing the 0 to 1 on your vehicle that you want to reflect blue. And I so wish I had found out all this months and months ago instead of a few weeks ago :)

I was wondering about this too because at the place where Roman plays poker why on earth would the inside of the building be modeled if you weren't meant to gain access to it. And this was released before EFLC. @Mr Snapp, do me a favour, if you get the call again can you open your phone and make a note of the time and what day it was. This is purely for my own experiments :)

OK thats prob' it then. I had ENB installed and was using the "force antialiasing" function. This works by resizing you image. so the game thinks the image is one size and enb forces it to another size and things like the compiter and the red markers in game next to drivers windows etc all mess up. There is no work around for this other than in the ENB .ini file making "ForceDisplaySize=false and ForceAntialiasing=false instead of true.

First of, "Chums" is friendly. Even if I haven't heard that phrase in years. Not to be confused with chumps though :) I leave my steam copy alone and don't mod it at all. It stays in the steam folder and is there as an untouched back up. I use that to take origional files from should I need to. I then have 2 other copies elsewhere on my PC. (note for some reason this is the only game I have been able to remove from the steam folder and run it elsewhere without steam) The 2 other copies are used in this way... I have the main copy I play with, and this copy I add other new mods to as I choose. Every 2 weeks if this file is running ok with no problems I copy it, deleteing the last 2nd copy. This way anything goes wrong with my most up to date version with all my mods I have a clone that is never more than 2 weeks old. Meaning I wont have to reinstall the bulk of my mods. And like I said I have the origional steam copy for back up of untouched origional files. So guess you could say I have 3 GTAIV installed. Untoched origional -- Main modded stable LCPDFR playing version -- copy / clone of main modded LCPDFR playing version. Maybe a bit over the top but the thought of redownloading off steam or installing all mods again makes me do this. My playing version is 18 gigs in size btw :) The problems you speak of in first post are odd. I wonder if its a hardware problem starting to show itself such as a hardrive thats on it's way out. Just a guess and I have no tech' knowledge for backing that up but if you have to reinstall that often and if things like you say seem to corrupt all by themselves overnight then something is obviously not right somewhere.

First off, yeah most people use a paid for software for recording. I have no idea how much the one your are using is but most people use Fraps and that is a one off payment. Can't recal how much it was but around

Yep just found it, and got the call :) It's in Schottler at the Discount Hardware store on Dillion street. I used SNT to gain entry, and like Harper said the inside is indeed moddeled in GTAIV. I made my arrest and called for a transport. Obviously they can't get in so I left the area and the game cleared the call ok. The good thing is it's moddeled inside so pretty confident the Devs will be able to adjust that call to work with GTAIV. In the meantime use SNT to gain entry, then call for prisoner transport and then leave the area. You get the arrest stat and don't have to kill anyone :) Or decline the Domestic call in Schottler if you dislike using SNT. Long story short the devs are aware and will look into it. *See post 5.

When making this post the troubleshooter would have told you to read some of the stikied topics before making a thread. These would have told you about such things as including diagnostic reports to help us in helping you. Closing this thread. Feel free to make another when you have done what you have been asked to do. (I will say though there are other threads about this and try changing mouse sensativity in control options) Next time will include an infraction for not following the troubleshooting Thread closed .. Edit: a five second search brought up several topics including this one. This forum has a very good search function...

I think NicolaiB got straight to the point. Seem to recal reading somewhere it only really matters if you are charging people and making money from it. In that case who ever owns the logo (FORD for example) want their cut. That why R* don't use real models / logos
