It doesn't matter, somewhere in your documents or downloads or what you want, a place you remember. Just create a backup folder and put the savegame in it.

Use the Windows Explorer search function to find a file containing "SGTA4" in the name. EDIT : ok, make a backup of the savegame and try xliveless. PS : why I don't see when you edit a post ?

About the savegames, on XP : C:Documents and SettingsUSERLocal SettingsApplication DataRockstar Games EDIT : it's normal that it automatically re--chech the box, don't worry, just do it once and it's ok.

Uncheck the read only, it must be unchecked. Also, if you can't run as administrator, it won't works.

You didn't tell the graphic card, only CPU and RAM. Or I am blind ^^ Again, try to reduce the graphics settings, just to test. Did you tried the preloadallmodels tips in post #11 ? Did you tried xliveless instead of dsound ? Did you uncheck the read-only on GTA IV folder ? Do you run the game as admin ?

If it crashes when you are going to select a cop car, in the ini of LCPDFR, set "preloadallmodels" on true. It can help sometimes. About scripthookdotnet outdated install the 1.7.1.4 (lcpdfr default) or 1.7.1.7.

You can try, it doesn't cost anything ^^ Did you buy the game or is it pirated ? Did you try to reduce a lot the graphics settings in game options ? Because your specs are quite weak you know. You didn't tell what is your graphic card btw.

Y'a deux chemins différents dans ton log, le disque dur et utilisateur ironman, et un disque D (disque externe ? partition ?) private yohan. J'ai l'impression que tu n'as pas accès à ce "private yohan", peux-tu expliquer ce que c'est ? As-tu un compte admin, restreint ? As-tu lancé l'installation du patch en mode admin ? Si je comprends bien le log, GTA est installé sur le chemin D ainsi que ses clés de registres, et ce qui est sur C ne peut l'affecter.

In the report there is "GTA IV - Asi loader installed: True /// GTA IV - Asi loader: XLiveLess" Do you have xlive.dll or something like that in the game folder ? If yes, remove it and retry the installation of the mod.

Can you paste the report please ? When you install LCPDFR, which asi loader do you choose ? Xliveless or Dsound ?

Where did you buy your game ? Steam ? Is it a legit copy or pirated game ?

Ok, but does the game works fine without LCPDFR ?
