  1. I use this script since a long time, and I enjoy it. It is very basic, but it does what it says. For roleplaying it's nice. Take a look at "luxury transport driver" too, don't know if you have already tested this one. I'm glad that we have some "activities & businesses" mods sometimes, GTA IV (even TBoGT) lacks of good things to do, a shame in the big living city of LC.
  2. Ok so if it works now with the liveries, that's great.
  3. OMG this sentence just made my day
  4. lol, true. Though, I don't know about the Netherlands, but here we have some serious sh*tty TV shows too :/ I didn't watch the TV since my PS2 was broken, around 2007~2008. People call me sociopath.
  5. As I already answered in your previous topic, you can't run or run well GTA IV with LCPDFR on GNU/Linux, because of some required software components. You can play some Windows Games on GNU/Linux, but it's sometimes hard to do and/or you may have lower performances, because of missing components, less better GPU drivers, and almost because the gaming solutions like WINE and its derivatives, or Crossover, for example, kind of emulate (even if they are not emulators in the strict meaning). I don't remember trying to get GTA IV running, but some games like Borderlands, Skyrim, etc... were ok. As I already said before, don't make the big jump if it's only for gaming ! It's not worth it at all. GNU/Linux is great for everyday tasks, multimedia consulting/editing, graphics, programmation and coding, and a lot of other activities, plus it's free and secure, but it's not a gaming OS yet. And I have to add, without any disrespect, that you don't seem ready to tweak a GNU/Linux distribution to make it runs game well. Believe me, I have some experience in learning and educating GNU/Linux to people. You better should switch to Windows7 64bits. I don't know what you love in XP that you don't have in 7. XP SP3 will reach end of support next year, and miss a lot of good things from 7. EDIT : I don't think that it is the right section for this thread.
  6. Just to be sure, when you say "Gave it another go and its working fine.", do you mean without the +livery ? Can you provide a link for the modded car, I can try to see if there's something wrong if I add it to my game.
  7. What do you mean by "2gigs just for the video controler" ? FYI your graphic card is a low profile GPU, mostly aimed to multimedia and graphics, not high video games. Try reduce your graphic settings in the game options. Also, try to remove ELS (causes a lot of crashes), your modded cars (use low poly cars like vanilla or DSF models), and maybe reduce the delays of events in PoliceHelper. Adapt the game and the mods to your system specs.
  8. Did you : 1 - unchecked the read-only box in the properties (right click) of the game folder ? 2 - ran the LCPDFR installer as administrator ? 3 - launched the game as administrator ?
  9. Run the installer and the game as administrator, and uncheck the read-only on the GTA IV folder in Program Files. This problem was already answered a million times and is also featured in the of the website, please search a bit before asking.
  10. I know that you're not working on this script for the moment, it's just a suggestion for the future : When I shot, it happens, those coward civilians get out of their vehicles and I have to do Ctrl+T over a dozen times to clean the area. I like to do my job, but I'm a lazy cop, thanks to those delicious Rusty Brown Ring's donuts. It would be great to have an option or something that spawns the towtruck (as the "fast" parameter in the ini) and wipe away all the empty cars (except the police car, putting a filter for police models) in a X radius from the player. I know, it surely represents a lot of work :/ that's just an idea, as I don't know how to edit the data files for the peds, making them stay in the car when shots fired.
  11. Same problem than in your other posts, the folder location is : 64bits : C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IV 32bits : C:Program FilesSteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IV Not sure if it's Grand Theft Auto IV or simply GTA IV with Steam, just check in the folders. EDIT : it is C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonGrand Theft Auto IVGTAIV
  12. So SparkIV should ask you where is the installation folder, browse or copy the path, as mentionned above the Steam path is different. If it doesn't work you can also try OpenIV which is a similar tool to SparkIV.
  13. You said that you added the +livery to police1 & police2, but are they modded cars supporting liveries, or original cars from Rockstar ? Because the Rockstar stock models doesn't have multiple liveries on these slots so don't add +livery as Sasrical said. But, if they are modded cars with multiple liveries, be sure to put the code correctly, as the example below : police3, police3, car, POLICE, POLICE3, VEH@STD, VEH@STD_RI1, 100, 999, 0.2345, 0.2345, 0.2, 2, 1.0 ,1, ext_requi+ext_strong+livery It's just an example from my modded police3
  14. Have you a legit copy (not pirated) of the game ? Is it a Steam version or something else ? GTA IV should be installed here for 64bits C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IV And here for 32bits C:Program FilesRockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IV Steam version should be in C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IV (or GTA IV) reason for edit : fix steam path
  15. If you know how to make cars models, look at this helpful tutorial by Harper. You can download some existing converted SA cars here (I saw 1 or 2 SA police cars), on GTA4-mods.com, and some other websites.
  16. Fuzzy screen : because P changes "definition" graphics setting. Modify the keyboard controls in the game.
  17. Vehicles skins ? Look at this video. You need SparkIV or OpenIV. For pedestrians skins, it's globally the same thing but in the componentpeds.img archive instead of vehicles.img. If you still don't understand, post here one of the readme and I'll try to explain deeper. EDIT : another video And you are again in the wrong section, you should have posted here.
  18. lol I always have ankward awkward situations like this one with this stupid AI. Funny video, thanks.
  19. Sorry, forget what I said, I re-watched the three trailers image by image and I didn't see it again, I was probably hallucinating. Too much strippers and cleavages distracted me :D
  20. Indeed, and it's also answered in the support part of the website. But unfortunately a lot of people don't search before posting.
  21. I've also seen a SUV like a Tahoe or whatever, in Franklin or Trevor trailer. It's good to see that Rockstar can make good police cars when they want.
  22. Daytime version : here (external website) Night version : FYI the street names under the radar is a part of ELS mod.
