  1. Oh wow, I was trying to type quotation marks around something LMS said and I just realised what my problem was, my keyboard switched over from US format to UK format, so I must've been pressing the wrong button the entire time. I feel like a proper git. My apologies for the trouble.
  2. Greetings, I just had to do a clean reinstall of GTAIV. I reinstalled NativeTrainer, LCPDFR 1.1, PoliceHelper, TowingScript, ELS and PolicingScript, and everything runs fine except for one incredibly confusing aspect: Console won't open. The only things I did that I think could have caused the issue is I did do a lot of scripthook dll/asi replaces and I had to move SparkIV's files into the game directory as it wasn't able to locate the game but other than that I am completely stumped. I am hoping some brighter minds might be able to shine some light on this rather confounding situation; please and thank you.
  3. I see, thank you for the information. Unfortunately the creators of the cars either don't speak English or don't respond to emails, so ripperino.
  4. My apologies for my ignorance as I know nothing about modeling, but how do you make a template for a vehicle in the first place may I ask?
  5. Greetings all, I recently downloaded some classic cop cars (1971 Dodge Polara, 1972 and 1978 Plymouth Furies) for GTA:SA and unfortunately the websites do not supply any sort of texture templates for the vehicles. I read somewhere that it is possible to use a 3D modeling program to "generate" texture templates for a vehicle based on the model characteristics; I was wondering if anyone knew anything about that and if so could give me a name at least of the software that could do it and maybe a quick idea of how? Thanks for reading, - Animefan162a
  6. Ah hah, I see. I've always played Operation Flashpoint/ArmA: Cold War Assault for the Conquer The Island missions, I never knew they had any RP stuff, that's cool. I heard of the RP gamemodes for ArmA 2 and 3, but never really looked into them; DoubleDoppler did quite a bit of (rather nice) British police pedestrian and vehicle mods for ArmA 2. Thanks again for the info, I hope you also have a Happy New Year.
  7. Don't mean to bump my own thread here but, has anyone heard of maybe a Law Enforcement game that mirrors SAPDFR (I.E. open world map based on a real city) but has multiplayer aspects? I have a burning feeling that there's some sort of magical good old Police RP game out there that I just haven't heard of yet.
  8. Huh? Sorry, I thought this was the proper section for it. I didn't want to put it in the Law Enforcement section because all the posts I saw there were about real life policing. Ah yeah, I've played quite a bit of SAPD:FR, since it actually runs smoothly on my computer. I've heard of "EmergeNYC" but hadn't heard of "Autobahn Police Simulator" or "Enforcer: Police, Crime, Action", or "Police Simulator 18" so I'll have to check those out. Thanks for your response.
  9. Greetings, I think a while back I posted a topic asking if there was any good GTA:SA RP servers for Law Enforcement gameplay. I did get some responses of which I was thankful for, but I just couldn't follow through on any of them due to technical difficulties. I've played GTA:SA and GTA IV for a long time, but my computer is kinda old and doesn't handle GTAIV too well, let alone the glory that is GTA V. Gmod RP servers can be cool (Especially with Photon ELS) , but once again they kill my computer after a while of playing. So this time I'm asking if you guys know of any low-spec, non-RAM/graphics intense stand alone games that have decent Law Enforcement roleplay? Please throw anything at me, preferably free but retail works as well, new or old, even if they have Playstation 1 graphics, lol... Thanks for reading.
When I look at this I see some resemblances to PFC Barefoot's Amarillo-style Police pack and BErad1502's Leftwood Police pack, and I must say I am quite pleased with it. It's got an excellent livery with it's own style and uniqueness (I noticed you replaced the standard LCPD patch on the sides with a NYPD one, whilst maintaining the "City of Liberty" text), The vehicle model looks great with the old generation rims (What do you call them, "Steelies"?) contrasting with the very sleek, modern-looking lightbars. I only have two small complaints: the first is that vehicle model doesn't seem to load until one is within 100 metres or so of it (mind you, I've had models that unload after only walking two metres away from them, bloody hell). The second one is that I would have preferred to had the ability to choose which lightbar to use, although simply switching around in the vehicle select menu until I get the standard roof-mounted one works too. Altogether great work!
  10. Well I have the Steam version of the game. After the patch was released it wasn't just my LCPD:FR that stopped working, but the entire game itself (as my computers User Account Control closed the game every time I tried to run it). However, I installed this: https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200145406--May-28-2010-Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch-7-Title-Update-v-1-0-7-0-English-1-0-6-1-Russian-1-0-5-2-Japanese- and now almost everything is back to normal, I just had to reset my graphic options and edit the emissive light values for ELS again. However I had to log on without Social Club (Play Offline) so I imagine playing LCPD:FR multiplayer is not going to be possible unless you use a third-party multiplayer client.
  11. Thanks, also @EvilJackCarver I asked the creator of the Taurus to release the template which they did kindly do.
  12. As it turns out, that's the exact template pack I was trying to use that doesn't work with the Taurus, lol. Thank you for the attempt though, I appreciate it.
  13. I'm looking at the templates right here and ironically the author provided a template for every vehicle in the pack except the 2013 Taurus, just my luck. I guess I'll message them and ask. Thanks a bunch for your help, I appreciate it!
  14. Oh, I see. Crap lol, that might be very tedious indeed as I prefer American black-white-black paintjobs. But what about pulling a template from a model, can that be done?
  15. I use photoshop and know a little bit about layers, but I don't know how to really make a livery using layers alone. I've always had a full whited out template that I've coloured and put decals on. Is there a way to recreate the base template in all white/no lines and then make the livery from there? Also since the template I have doesn't even fit the Taurus I'm using, is there a way to go to the 3D model and "pull" a template off of it and export it?
  16. Ah yeah, I guess I've been making a rookie mistake then. But I have no idea how to make a livery without using the texture template itself >_>
  17. Not first time skinner, no but definitely new. All of my previous experience has been editing already existing textures or going from a clean and ready to use template (as in colour, add decals and export to vehicle txd).
  18. Thank you for the advice, but what about editing out all the model lines that way the template can be used for a texture/livery? Also the template I have for the 2013-15 Taurus actually doesn't work with it >_>
  19. Ugh, I feel really ungrateful asking this but but I haven't been able to find these anywhere. Could someone provide me with clean (not rainbow colours and millions of lines but clear, white and ready to be used) texture templates for the 2013-2015 Ford Taurus and 2006/2013-15 Dodge Charger? I have a few particular vehicle models I would like to start developing liveries for and I would really, REALLY sincerely appreciate templates that would work for them. I hope I don't sound too selfish and I thank you for reading.
Now this really fits my tastes as far as city/county police goes: simple and generic yet visible and stylish. Altogether very professional looking set-up with the combination of livery and equipment, an excellent selection of vehicles as well.
  20. Awesome, I loved the duty belt and armour vest for Enhanced Improved Cops but the blue uniform put me off a tad (Our town's officers have black uniforms), thank you so much for uploading a darkened version.
  21. AHHHHH I see an issue, I can't put blue on the middle of the rear lightbar because that entire area is traffic directors. Damn it lol, well thank you for the assistance.
  22. Wow this thing is kind of an obnoxious pain in the ass to use, but thanks.
  23. Huh, that's strange, for some reason the model is not showing in the viewer... am I doing something wrong?
