  4. Greetings, I'm trying to make my key bindings work well together, but I also find it's hard to separate conflicts, keep key bindings in order, and all that. Particularly because everyone uses the Microsoft system for setting keys using a code number in place of the actual keystroke. To combat this, I've decided just to section off a side of the keyboard to keep things simple. So U, I, O, and P for example would be ELS bindings, and then I want to make LSPDFR bindings Ctrl+U, Ctrl+I, Ctrl+O, and Ctrl+P. Or vice versa. To my frustration, there's no elaboration on how to properly ad modifiers to either key bindings in either mod. The first question is, how do I add key modifiers to ELS? The guide shows me how to specify normal keys, but doesn't explain how to give them a ctrl modifier. As for lspdfr, the keys.ini has a slot for modifiers, but I don't know how I need to format it. Using the microsoft key code? leftcontrol? LCtrl? Finally, if I'm using a modifier key for another mod, say it's ALT+J, it'll still activate ELS if the key is just J (with no modifier). Am I to assume ELS doesn't care about modifiers? Final note, I use stream deck as well, between playing DCS, Elite Dangerous, IL2, War Thunder, GTA V, and Cities Skylines, my mind and muscle memory can't possibly keep up with all the bindings, so I just consolidate everything on my keyboard, use modifiers, and then program them into stream deck..
  5. So... where is the VCF? Edit: Found it, had some issues with the file path being too long so it got lost.
  6. That fixed it, windows virus protection under protection history, was blocking the application after a while.
  7. I know this doesn't help, so I apologize in advance. I'm having this problem too, so maybe my experience might shed more light. This happened to me after I got everything set up and running. No issues at all. I then stopped playing the game for the day, played another game, then moved on to sleep. Next day, I wake up, and try to run RageHook. Next thing I know, I get a little loading circle next to my mouse, then nothing happens. Process shows up in the service tab in the task manager for 15 seconds and vanishes. I reinstalled EVERYTHING, to my happiness it worked again! Figured it was a stray file or config I messed up by mistake. Everything was working fine with no conflicts for the rest of the day. Then I go play something else for a while, watch a movie, then I come back to play GTA again, and Ragehook returns to the same issue as before. Very frustrating because it's difficult to find any mention of it, and when it is, either it's solved with no real elaboration on the issue, or the thread goes dead. Lame. Welp, I'll eat my words. Guess it was easier to figure this out that I thought. Some other forum posts reference this kind of issue and it made sense. Essentially windows security blocks the application after a while without giving you a notification. For me it's solved the issue, for now. Read this post:
  8. I finally got around to testing your theory. You sir deserve a drink, as now I love you. Is this not a commonly known fact? No one ever mentions that this is how it works. Putting the files in that directory replaces the cars as hoped. Now I understand how that works but I wonder why everyone always wants to put these files in other patchday folders?
  9. I'll keep that in mind, thanks! It's always a pain coming back when you're trying to figure everything out again.
  10. I'm actually super annoyed by this, I see you guys giving this person a hard time for not knowing. I started modding my game again after not playing for a while and have had the same issue. I have not been able to find the correct paths for ANY of the cars until now and there is not a list I can find anywhere that tells me where to put the cars. Most of the mods have the old paths explained in their readme files and some don't even say anything. Thanks for the help in this thread though, it's at least somewhat helped me but if someone can point me in the direction of the rest of the police car locations, perfect. The x64e location has all of the vehicles in it but not every single one uses that path when in game, or so it appears.
  11. Bummer that it doesn't show up in the director mode recordings :/ I want to do some wicked screenshots with it. Otherwise works perfect!
