  1. For anyone who is looking for the truck itself.
  2. Hello Everyone, Awhile ago I posted about doing skins for the state of Maine since they seem to be pretty hard to find. I saw there were quite a few people that looked at that post so I thought I would put another one up to say I've finally finished and was able to upload a video showing what I've done. I can't take any credit for the vehicle models or take credit for the work they did in the details on the vehicle models. I will say if I get a lot of good feedback and/or requests I will reach out to the people that made the cars and see if I can get permission to post a car pack or possibly a texture pack. I would much rather do a car pack and include all the vehicles and the vehicle.ide and handling lines for them as well. All that being said however it'll all depend on what I hear from all of you. Please come check out the video of the work and there may be a new run of lcpdfr single player videos now that I have the textures done. http://youtu.be/ixF7nk06L2M
  3. Standby I should have a video link for my progress available as soon as YouTube finishes the processing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhvVaeBvC4I
  4. Still working this, but real world commitments are slowing me down. I'll try to get a video or screen cap up soon.
  5. I'm just curious how much interest there is for a Maine State pack of skins possibly with cars. I just finished making a Maine State Trooper cvpi skin. Came out pretty well. I'm going to try to get a new taurus and explorer done as MeSP. I'm also going to put in 2 Cumberland County Sheriff skins, and I'm debating about doing either 8 Portland, Me liveries or possibly doing 4 Portland and 4 South Portland. I'm also working on handling lines for the cvpi, taurus, and explorer to have the right number of gears, drive train, theoretical top speed, and traction control as all of the newest versions of these vehicles have that standard. I thought this would be worthwhile since there doesn't seem to be a lot of people from the New England area (unlike ny and ca) so there seem to be a lot less 'local' mods. I will say that I do not have the time or the patience to create ped skins for this though, sorry guys if someone else makes them great. I can live with the gta 4 default skins. I'll put some screen shots up as I get more skins done. Like I said this is just to feel out if there would be a lot of interest. If there is I'll reach out to the folks that own the templates and the car models to see if I can make a pack for release here.
  6. if you read the ini file for fdlc it explains how to change uniforms etc etc. as far as going to a going to a station i believe you still have to do that on your own, or spawn an ambulance or firetruck
  7. Ecto 1 (sorry gta garage was down when I tried to get the link so I used this one instead) http://gtamania.ru/load/cars_for_gta_4/other/ecto_1_okhotniki_za_privedenijami_final/202-1-0-4339 1970 Ford Boss 429 http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/gta-iv/vehicle-mods/6022
  8. I had the same issue. I'm in the northeast and the police up here primarily run all blue. To make the changes you'll need spark and possibly openiv. I had one model that crashed spark every time I tried to import new textures, but I was able to do it fine with openiv. I also used paint shop pro x2 to do the graphics editing (I'm guessing there are probably some good freeware graphics programs that could do this as well). I also have straight gta 4, no eflc etc etc To change the colors for the light bars I did the following. Open spark click on the gta button go to pcmodelscdimages open vehicles.img (make a backup first) choose the .wtd file for the vehicle you want to edit export each of the light textures open the textures in your graphics software copy and past the blue lights over the red, you could do that for the amber as well on some vehicles, but it's a pain to figure which go to traffic advisors on some models save the graphics using the same name as the original. go back into spark and for each texture you exported, locate it in spark and then choose import texture and it will pull the blue in and over write the red. save everything and exit spark then go into your els.ini file and change the values for the light colors from red to blue. ( that will fix the glow/reflection from the new lights to be blue instead of red) load up gta and enjoy your blue lights. Sorry, I should have put this in my last post. If you have vehicles in numerous slots for gta it'll take some time to fix the graphics for the lightbars and ram bars. I have vehicles with multiple liveries in all police slots and it took about 3 hours to change all the red to blue.
  9. Hello to all the modders here on lcpdfr. I was wondering if someone here could modify the dukes to be a police cruiser. It would be great if it still could use all of the gta 4 textures (ie blown motor, highway reaper graphic, rear window louvers). Possibly two different versions one with a lightbar and one as a slicktop. I was thinking that for the slick top it could have these light bars: Front Passenger Upper http://www.whelen.com/_AUTOMOTIVE/details_prod.php?head_id=4&cat_id=17&prod_id=610 Rear Deck http://www.whelen.com/_AUTOMOTIVE/details_prod.php?head_id=4&cat_id=17&prod_id=512 and then the other version could have this lightbar on top http://www.whelen.com/_AUTOMOTIVE/details_prod.php?head_id=4&cat_id=17&prod_id=395 My thought is this would make a pretty good stealth highway patrol vehicle, possibly a D.A.R.E. vehicle, or be an alternative to an unmarked cvpi for Bait Car. It is also my understanding, please correct me if I'm wrong, that the only other things that would need to change to make this a police vehicle is to move the dukes in the cargrp file and possibly modify the sound pack for the dukes to use the police horn/siren. Maybe that wouldn't matter if someone was exclusively using the els siren?
