I'm so glad you figured out the issue, and I'm glad I was able to help. I also really appreciate your kind words. I've been non-stop coding on NPCI ever since it's inception, and version 3.0 truly is the next evolution. Not only will it change how you interact going forward in LSPDFR, it will also change how you play LSPDFR. Prior to version 3, the only time I got to play was when I was testing out the code and identifying bugs -- coding always came first before everything else. With version 3, I find that I always just want to play now and code later, LOL, because I'm having so much fucking fun -- in ways I never thought possible. I can't wait to get it out there so you can have this same experience! You're going to LOVE it!

Thanks for clarifying and for your patience. My paper request to the ped is supposed to trigger STP's internal documents check. I use theirs since STP uses their own internal documents system that I couldn't replicate without open sourcing my plugin. So, my documents request action is supposed to trigger your STP menu, and then automatically choose the check documents action for you (think of it like a streamdeck shortcut). PR uses Common Data Framework, which I could use for my own action, so in my NPCI-PR version, my own actions take care of both ways (asking and giving back). If in STP, my voice action for handing over the documents isn't triggering the automatic call for STP's own documents check, it could be a keybinding issue. Do you use the standard E keybind for STP contact interaction? For the hand documents back though, I use my own action/animation. Is that working for you when you say "here's your papers back"? Just curious if that one's working for you. If you don't mind, I'd love to help work out this issue with you. If you can DM me on Discord, I'd be happy to check your ragelog and analyze my code for that action to see if I can create you new dll to test. I pulled up my 2.1 STP version this evening and it worked for me on my end, so I'd love to get it working for you too!

Hey there. Thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it. The next update coming out soon (NPCI 3.0) is the version that moves from onscreen text to PED audio responses. The video you're referring to was an early preview. You'll have all the same voice action calls as 2.1 currently has, but now the PEDS will respond with audio. I don't have a definitive release date yet, but it's basically done and shouldn't be much longer. I'm testing as fast as I can, but with a full time job, I only have late evenings and weekends to work on it. I was hoping to have a new video up this past weekend with a big announcement, but had to fix some coding issues, so my goal is to have the new video up this weekend. If all goes well, the release will be shortly after. This next version will truly change LSPDFR for everyone going forward. 🙂

Hey there! I hope you're doing well. The documents check at a traffic stop uses 2 animation calls. The check vehicle documents is part of STP's own document hand-off action/animation system, which does have a hand-off animation, and then NPCI has a hand the papers back animation, that's called with "here's your papers back" or "here's your paperwork back" or whatever additional action phrases you'd like to customize the hand papers back animation with. Are you saying you're not getting the hand over or hand paperwork back animation when using NPCI-STP?

Hey there! Thanks so much for the kudos and suggestions. Great timing w/your message. The AI test I did was around 5 months ago using llama & small local models Gemma 2 & 3 (the 2B & 4B models) and Qwen, and it definitely works, but the latency was quite noticeable. This was due to the speech recognition engine having to translate the speech/audio to text, feed it to the AI model, process the text, then send the processed response back so it can be displayed onscreen. The round trip in my testing was 2 to 4 seconds. Not horrible, but not great either. Fast forward to today, and there have been a ton of new breakthroughs for which I have a surprise I'll be announcing very soon (regarding AI), done differently than what I just described above. I think everyone is going to be blown away. 😀 This will be in conjunction with a new version that has audio responses in place of text (still scripted), but it will be a dual switch plugin that can be toggled in the INI. I'll explain why this is when I make the announcement. What I can say for now is that I've been testing and playing NPCI 3.0 (beta) for a few weeks now, and it's truly amazing! This version changes everything! There will be a video within the week showing previews on my YT, and a big announcement to follow shortly after. Be on the lookout. 😉

Hey! There's no performance impact in NPCI. I carefully coded the plugin to avoid this. I hope you download it and give it a spin. 🙂

Hi there. Thanks for downloading and giving NPCI a try. NPCI 2.1 is an LSPDFR plugin, not a base plugin, and will NOT be listed in your startup plugins tab in RPH settings. NPCI goes into the same directory as your callouts or companion mods (aka - Policing Redefined, StopThePed, Grammar Police, etc.). NPCI goes in this path: \Grand Theft Auto\plugins\LSPDFR\ I hope this information helps. Make sure you have Microsoft Speech Platform installed as well. If you have any trouble getting it to work once it's in the LSPDFR directory, and I'm only assuming it's not since you're looking for it in the RPH settings (which only shows base plugins), please hit me up on the NPCI Discord through one of the support channels, or DM if you prefer, and I'd be happy to take a look at your ragehook.log and provide further guidance. I'll get you up and running!

Hey there! Nah, you're not doing anything wrong at all. You can request a cuffed PED to follow you in the NPCI version for Policing Redefined, but it's not possible in the NPCI version for StopThePed due to PED lock that STP applies when under the influence of that mod. STP applies a very unnecessary task lock on the PED that constantly tries to re-engage every second, so if the PED was enabled to follow you, they would just stutter step the entire way. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do to get around that issue, so I disabled that feature from working in the STP version. If you ever decide to move over to Policing Redefined, you CAN command cuffed PEDS to follow you, as well as perform a few other action commands that aren't possible in the STP version. I hope this helps.

Hi there. Assuming you're asking about the differences in NPCI versions between those 2 mods -- the NPCI versions for PR & STP have identical features, so you don't lose any of the core functionality with either mod you go with, but due to the differences in how each mod handles their implementations, I had to code NPCI differently to work with each mod. With that said, while the versions are identical in terms of features, STP has some weird quirks and odd coding choices that plays havoc with a few of my actions, so if you want the best experience with NPCI, I strongly recommend using Policing Redefined (over STP) and using my NPCI-PR version. Policing Redefined, IMO, is leaps and bounds better than STP, even in its beta stage. I hope this answers your question.

Hi there. Thanks so much for testing this on your end and sharing your results. At the heart, NPCI is a tool to talk to PEDS, which you can absolutely do no matter what mod you use. Some of the new actions are inaccessible depending on the scenario in PA, but the core of what NPCI does, interact with PEDS, does indeed work inside PA. Policer Advanced is definitely a cool mod. I had fun playing around with it this morning. It uses a combination of custom and LSPDFR vanilla mechanics. In my testing, I did find that some of the new NPCI actions did not work when specifically stopping the PED through PA, but that's not always needed. For PA's PED menu options, NPCI does many of these actions, like ask for ID, StopThePed, Follow, Dismiss, and Dialog (NPCI definitely does). As far as traffic stops, with NPCI you can ask for vehicle documents, you can ask the PED to shut off the engine, you can ask the PED to exit the vehicle, and you can ask the PED to follow you, without using PA's menu options. Just as with Policing Redefined, as well as STP, there ARE menu items that you still need to use with those respective mods when using NPCI, just as you would need to do with Policer Advanced. Even if you weren't using any of NPCI's new actions, you still have the full suite of NPCI PED interactions available to use at any time in PA. For users who would like to use NPCI with PA, you can install the NPCI-PR version, along with Common Data Framework (for the license and vehicle documents to be available - https://github.com/Policing-Redefined/CommonDataFramework/releases/), and still have great results, in conjunction with using PA's menu features.

Hi there! The PED selection process works by choosing the PED closest to you via proximity. So whichever PED you're closest to when you're giving the command, that's the PED that will perform the action(s). I actually covered this in my 2nd video above. 🙂 Even though the PED selection video was interacting with on-foot PEDS, the process is the same for vehicle PEDS. So if more than one occupant is in a vehicle, if you go the driver door and interact -- that's the PED that will be controlled, if you go the passenger side -- that's the PED that will be controlled, if there's a passenger in the back seat -- same thing. If you pull them all out of the vehicle, you can cycle between all of them via proximity and have full immersive interactions. Just sit them far enough apart so that it's clear through proximity which one you're intending to interact with. Keep in mind, there are no menus. It's all voice command. The selection process is identical with how you would target a PED with STP or PR. You would go up to them and double tap your E, only with NPCI, you don't have to do that, you just speak. 🙂 And yes, this feature already works, regardless of which version you install! I would put in your game and test it out. 🙂 I'll add another video with a traffic stop containing multiple PEDS just in case other users have the same questions. Hey there. It's because you're asking for an ID using an on-foot action, and not the ones for checking vehicle documents. If you want to ask a PED for their ID in a traffic stop, you have to change the phrase associated with traffic stop actions. So for actions that contain "PerformCheckVehicleDocuments", you would either duplicate one of the commands and change the phrase to "show me your ID" or simply change the phrase to that. If you do though, you will have to change the phrase that asks for a PEDS ID on foot to something else, as you can't have the same two phrases commanding different actions. Like this.... <Command> <Text>show me your ID</Text> //change this phrase to something else like "let me see your ID" <Action>PerformLicenseCheckAction</Action> <Responses> <Command> <Text>show me your papers</Text> //change this phrase to "show me your ID" <Action>PerformCheckVehicleDocuments</Action> <Responses> <Response>Sure, here you go officer.</Response> <Response>Of course, I got them right here.</Response> I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if this helped.

Interesting. Win 11 25H2, their latest version#, still has WSR in there. Curious, did you run it through a training process as well, or are you saying it's simply not working for you anymore.

So it sounds like you're saying it worked better before the speech recognition training? Interesting. You would think that would have helped to make it better. Sorry it's not performing more consistently for you. You might consider experimenting with the phrases, customizing them so they flow better with your voice input, as opposed to using the ones I provided (assuming you haven't messed with them yet). If you find certain phrases aren't working for you, especially consistently, change them up. Customize them to say something different, and keep trying them out until your satisfied. The more you mess around with them to match your style, the better they'll work for you. Also, and I'm guilty of this myself, make sure you're holding the input keybind before you start speaking, and then letting off after the last word. If you hold down and speak at the same time, it could miss the first word occasionally. Let me know how it goes. I'm happy to work with you over on Discord if you continue to have issues.

HELL YES! I love it! Thank you so much for sharing a video of it in action. There really aren't many NPCI videos on YT (outside of my own), so it was a real treat to watch yours. Can't wait to see more from you! Subscribed!! 🙂

Hey there. Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the speech recognition. You say it never understand your voice -- does that mean you never get any expected responses back and only the unrecognized ones, or are you not getting any onscreen responses at all? If you join my discord and submit a ticket, I'll do everything I can to help get you up and running.
