  1. I'm the same as Abraxas, no idea. Your resolution does seem odd though. Try resetting the graphics in the menu
  2. Yeah, it will be dsound.dll if you used that install. Should be fine. The only other thing I can think of is the mouse sensitivity option in the GTA settings menu - not set to 0 or ridiculously low, are they?
  3. Thanks :) and yeah, I might do that actually! Should be an interesting little side project, haha!
  4. In 'policehelper.ini', try changing 'Force Resolution' to 1. This is the only thing in the config that stands out to me as being an option that may in some way affect it, indicated by the comment next to it saying change to 1 if the game pauses. If that doesn't help, which scripthook are you using? Presumably it's located in the scripts folder?
  5. Is it the latest version of PoliceHelper?
  6. My first mod for LCPDFR.com - a Highways Agency Traffic Officer texture for a Land Rover Discovery 3. Still undecided about whether to release once finished, so any feedback would be much appreciated. Still need to tailor the livery edges and sort to the rear, plus a bit of work on the lights I think. What do people think? Any ideas for improvements? Would anyone be interested in it if I did decide to release it? http://www.lcpdfr.com/uploads/monthly_07_2013/post-59601-0-65533400-1372891070.pnghttp://www.lcpdfr.com/uploads/monthly_07_2013/post-59601-0-42642700-1372891194.pnghttp://www.lcpdfr.com/uploads/monthly_07_2013/post-59601-0-40074900-1372891295.pnghttp://www.lcpdfr.com/uploads/monthly_07_2013/post-59601-0-37664400-1372891406.png
  7. Not a problem, if you need any more help, PM me :) I recently reinstalled GTA IV myself, so the processes of modding it are still quite fresh in my mind. Good luck! Hi, please start a new thread with these issues: http://www.lcpdfr.com/index.php?app=forums&module=post&section=post&do=new_post&f=55 You can find instructions on how to install ELS in the PDF manual included in this download: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> (there is also a youtube tutorial in the first comment on the file, courtesy of Carrythxd

  9. No worries, glad to help! It's an issue with the Windows registry that causes this. Should be fine now. Haha, it's mad how annoying things can be, isn't it?!
  10. To install new cars, you need to replace the *.wtd and *.wft files inside the 'vehicles.img' file located in the GTA IV folder. This can be achieved using a simple program called SparkIV (or, as an alternative, OpenIV). These programs allow you to view, export and import files within the GTA folder. However, it is very wise to make a backup of any cars before you replace them, and test each one individually after installation to make sure it won't crash your game! The other cheats are achieved with the 'Simple Native Trainer' mod - this can be found at http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=392973 - press F3 to run in game, and navigate using the num pad. Note it is an *asi script, so place it in the root GTA IV folder, where the scripthook (dsound.dll) is located (this will have been installed by LCPDFR). There are plenty of youtube tutorials too! Have fun!

  12. Only one way to find out! Run the patch and see
  13. Open 'Run' in windows, and try entering this code: secedit /configure /cfg %windir%infdefltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose Then run the patch install again from R*
  14. Did you run it as an administrator? Where did you get the game from?
  15. If you mean to update the title to 1.0.7.0, the only tool I'm aware of is the one provided by Rockstar Games, at: http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/484496-Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch-7-Title-Update-v-1-0-7-0-English-1-0-6-1-Russian-1-0-5-2-Japanese-. What is the error you get / what happens when it fails? Is a message displayed?
  16. Not a problem, glad to help!

  18. Steam save games are located in this directory: C:Users[userName]AppDataLocalRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegames Note that you will probably have to enable hidden folders & files to access some of these folders (toolbar > tools > folder options) When you do save a game, it's best to save it as Niko via the trainer - anything else and the game will probably get a bit confused!
