Possible Easter Egg Type Of Thing In Gta Iv?
I know about this since years now, yet, I still have hardly collected ( or shot [since you have to shoot them] ) 10, didn't really care about it. But after reading kshark's reply (2nd post on this page), I think I might find some time & complete it, just to get the Police Maverick spawning

I have almost no idea what I'm doing
After a quick Google search, the problem apparently lies with Visual C++, just reinstall it & it should be fine. [ Also, a tip, next time a Steam game malfunctions, instead of reinstalling, first, go to the game in Steam libary, right-click it, click on Properties, go to the Local Files tab, & click on Verify Intergrity of Game Cache. This takes quite a while (depending on the game's size), but usually solves common game problems. If that doesn't work then reinstall the game ]

I have almost no idea what I'm doing
No problem, all of us were Noobs sometime or the other! Your root folder is located in: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonGrand Theft Auto IV Your root folder is usually where the mods go to, unless they specify for the scripts folder, which is: The scripts folder is a folder that created in your root folder for scripts that need ScriptHook.dll to work. To run the game as Administrator, go to the root folder & right-click on "GTAIV.exe", select Properties, go to the "Compatibility" tab, & select "Run as a Administrator". Then, whenever you launch GTA:IV, you will get a popup from "User Account Control", just click "Yes". You don't necessary need ONLY 1.0.7.0 version of GTA:IV to make anything work, there are mods that support earlier versions. However, since your IV is from Steam, you can rest assured that you have the latest version of IV (1.0.7.0). First of all, to make any mod work, you need either ASI Loader (which replaces dsound.dll) or xLiveless (which adds 2 xliveless files). I would highly recommend the ASI Loader, since xLiveless remove GFWL, thus not allowing you to play MultiPlayer. Get the ASI Loader from here: http://gtaforums.com/topic/394806-yaasil-yet-another-asi-loader/ Next I recommend you get the .Net ScriptHook. Most of the mods require ScriptHook (including LCPD:FR). Get the .Net ScriptHook here: http://gtaforums.com/topic/392325-beta-gtaiv-net-scripthook/ Also, be sure to scroll down on that page & download Microsoft's .Net Framework 4 & Visual C++ 2010, you'll need these to make .Net ScriptHook & ASI Loader work. Next you will need a Trainer, these help you with various stuff. I highly recommend the Simple Native Trainer v6.5. It has loads of features (including vehicles & weapons spawning, god mode for character & vehicles, Gravity Gun, Player Selector [allowing you to change Niko into any character in the game], spawning "bodyguards", & many many more) & is simple enough for the amount of features it has. I would recommend you read the ReadMe to get familiar with it. That should do it. Make sure you install the mods separately, that is, install one mod, start GTA:IV, go in-game (start the game & enter the game world), then quit GTA:IV, install next mod. I know this is tedious, but it's very important, in case any mod causes a problem or starts overloading GTA:IV, you will know exactly which mod it is. Also, (I'm not sure if this works in Steam versions, since I have the Disk version) I would suggest you make different "versions" of your GTA:IV folder, just go to one folder above your GTA:IV folder (C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommon) & copy & paste the IV folder (in this same place), you should now have a new IV "version" named "Grand Theft Auto IV(Copy)", rename it to whatever you want. For example: I have 7 "versions" of GTA:IV:- 1) Normal version with basic mods for MultiPlayer, 2) One version with LCPD:FR mod installed, 3) One version with Graphics mod, 4) One version with LCPD:FR & Graphics mod, 5) One version with a Map mod, 6) One version with almost all Cars modded, & 7) One version which is the original CD version (1.0.1.0), so I don't have to be bothered uninstalling & reinstalling from the CD, if I ever need a "clean" version of GTA:IV. EDIT: Wow! This is one loooong reply

Are there any female GTA IV modders on LCPDFR?
Knew I missed a point, lol True. The companies itself put the female characters in games with obscene clothing, justifying doing that as it will attract more players, since they think the gaming industry is all male. But they're wrong, ofc. I've yet to see a MOBA where the armor for a female character doesn't just cover the uncoverable parts & a little extra surface. I would be a liar if I didn't admit it's nice to see at times, but it is unnecessary & irritating most of the time.

Are there any female GTA IV modders on LCPDFR?
Isn't that the truth! I've seen many videos of gamer girls being hit on the second they say they're a girl, or in case of XBox/PS, use a mic. I've seen some people trolling girls too, acting as horny immature boys, but I don't think they ever say that they're recording it for a joke. There are videos on Youtube though, about gamer girls explaining how they're being dominated in the gaming industry. I for one, honestly, don't care if you're a gamer boy or gamer girl. I behave the same with both

SPOILER - Full Offical Grand Theft Auto V Map
I guess I was stupid to believe that long released rumor that there would be a infinite Desert to the right of he map But a small part of me always hoped it was true Great find, & it's nice to see the map. I wonder if, while in a train, we can switch train tracks or such. It could not be there & just loops that help you backtrack, but I noticed the train line going into the quarry & now I think differently Any thoughts?

This touched a soft spot
Now I'm sad. I read about this somewhere a few days back, but it still strikes a tear to read it. I'm sure we will all miss the CVPI most dearly.

Thought this was funny
That made me lol even more, ..... lol

Police Tactics - Real Sim
Yeah, works fine on Firefox too. It's probably your browser Officer Doom, normal browsers usually add "www." automatically if you don't add it yourself (unless you use a IP Address) (at least, that's how I think it works).

Game lagging to much
Are you using any mods? If yes, uninstall them ALL, even ScriptHook & ASI loader/xliveless. If the game starts running without any FPS drops, then start installing them one by one to figure out which mod is making you lag. If no, then try running the game on all low settings. I think you might still not be able to run it (judging from the very small specs list you gave), in that case, you have earned the "Get a New Computer" suggestion! FYI, your game is having FPS (Frames per Second) issues, not lags. Lag only happens in online gaming, since lag means getting "steps" in other player's moments due to slow internet, or high latency (common cause is that you live very very far away from the server [eg: Server is in Europe, you live in Australia] ), etc.

Cop bitten, slaps boy amid volatile custody battle
I feel embarrassed for that officer, so many idiots surrounding him. It must've taken godly restraint to not arrest most of those idiots. Every time that other kid opened his stupid mouth I laughed at his empty threats.

Congratulations LCPD:FR on 4 years!
aaah, that glitch, it truly is the bitch! (Get it? lol ) Thanks. No problem, anytime

Police Tactics - Real Sim
Love the new progress (check the blog). Keep it up!!

Congratulations LCPD:FR on 4 years!
Congrats to everyone on the LCPD:FR team. I'm sure we'll make it until 10 years, but during that time LSPD:FR!! (FYI, that's GTA:V LSPD:FR) ooh goody, I love me some treats! What? eww, no, please don't! Who said it's a good game? It sucks, both the versions "Outside" & "Real Life" (although to be honest, there's no difference between them, it's just making money out of the same game). 90% of NPCs are coded wrong, it takes forever to level up, some items have ridiculous prices, there's no revert to save or different save files, you only get 1 life..... need I go on??? The only thing that's nice is the graphics.

If you were to live anywhere in Liberty City where would it be?
If I were to live in LC, 1st thing I would do, is move to modern day Los Santos (if you get what I mean [if you didn't, I mean GTA:V] ). Otherwise, I would say somewhere NE of Middle Park.

Twelve new Jizz-Tastic Screenshots Released!
Drool-tastic! That Sabre GT, in one of my fav. color (purple), made me short-circuit my keyboard & that Marines Heli (& seeing the updated cop cars) made me short-circuit my backup keyboard @Iconography: May be just you, in the 1st trailer, in the intro, we could see a couple on the beach with 2 dogs near them. Although, it may have just been WIP & they decided to just make Chop the only dog in V. (psst, btw, it's Franklin's dog, not Michael's) Only time will tell.....

simple native trainer won't stop scrolling
or Numpad 8. This happens sometimes with other buttons (rarely though) too, where they get 'stuck' & keep doing the action again & again & again, very rapidly. To fix it, you just have to press that button once (or hold it for a second) & the release it.

Happy Birthday Carrythxd!
Happy Birthday Carrythxd! Seen quite some of your videos (made by you) when I'm trying to check out numerous mods (made by other people). Love how you take the time to make each mod (vehicle or otherwise) looks awesome & in the right setting (background, route etc.) Happy (belated) Birthday Harper!!
