  2. It looks like a Rontan Winglux, but I'm not 100% certain.
  3. Whatever is causing these delay, at the latter stages of development, has to be more substantial than bug fixing or "polishing", they're buying more time to fix fundamental flaws within the PC version (it has to be PC related as GTA V was released more than a year ago on consoles) or they are concerned about their network infrastructure when it's released. I'm certain that Rockstar wouldn't want a PR fiasco due to their always-online DRM not working (which it won't). Regardless. Rockstar has messed up big time, even if V launches without problems on PC. Their PR work has been unacceptable from the start, misleading customers about future versions prior to the game's initial release in '13, announcing the "good" versions for next-gen consoles (double-dip distribution) and announcing the "best" version for PC (triple-transaction tricks, wanting people to buy the game three times), then further delaying the PC version several times without giving any explanation as to why. Consumer oriented business model it is not.

  8. It's time for another short update. Current project: I am currently working on a revised edition of the last project >I wrote about, there's nothing too exciting to show. I have fixed a number of issues that was present on both model and skins. My testing has produced encouraging results so far, expect news in the latter part of week 6. And now it's time for a spot of house keeping: I have given up on my 2011-2014 Charger PP after attempting to work though a list of improvements, most of which turned out to be too time consuming or beyond my skill level. However, I have not given up on making A 2011 Charger PP. I am in the (very) early stages of converting Forza 4's Charger SRT R/T into PP specification, as well as fully converting the model to GTA IV itself. Progress has been encouraging so far. Most of my work has been spent on admin, that is splitting the model from Forza's structure into groups based on their function (doors, bodyshell, bonnet, boot, interior and so on). It's too early to tell how it will turn out, the model requires enough plastic surgery to keep a Beverly Hills surgeon in business for the foreseeable future. The front bumper and bonnet has to be completely remodelled, I hope to cannibalise my dead '11 Charger for those parts, fitting issues notwithstanding. Likewise, the interior requires a bit of cannibalising. Forza's model has 2 different interiors, one interior is included along the exterior model, which I assume is used for third person driving given its fidelity (which is low). The other, higher fidelity, interior is designed for first person driving, redundant for GTA IV. Using the former interior, the one designed for third person, does present itself with a couple of issues. The major issue being that the doors exist only as a texture. I intend to use the interior part of the doors from my dead Charger. Though time will tell if it will work. Lastly, I am also going to revise a number of lighting parts (lightbars and lightheads), I'll post when I have more information, I expect to release a couple of models as dev resources, though it depends on a number of factors. The Charger will be a major project, a project I will work on while making mods using models that are, well, usable.

  9. Huh, who'd have thought that the worlds' premier supplier of on-demand islamic fundementalism would announce plans to attack the west. The poor chaps in Al Quaeda aren't playing on their own any more so these announcements are rather convenient. Some of their investors must certainly have noticed that ISIS has been putting in a good effort in their sharia crusade while ISAF slowly reduced their font-line commitment in preperation for the "handover" to the ANSF late last year, Afghanistan does not make for a good sales pitch for AQ's potential investor because it's getting more difficult to kill westerners and Afghanistan itself has no value whatsover in the big picture. Al Quaeda are always planning attacks against the west, it shouldn't be a surprise really. The US government has contingency plans for everything, including a possible invasion of Canda. I wonder if the media would report on that in the same way. There's nothing newsworthy at all about this "story", the media will spin a story out of almost anything that will attact viewers, sell more papers or get more site views on the internet.
