  1. Ahh That would explain it. I only used Firefox to see if it would produce a change. Myself, I dont like anything thats not IE. lol
  2. 1) Sorry for double post, edit time window, you know. 2) Tried to do it on Mozilla Firefox, and it appears that Firefox doesn't like this site at all. lol It would rarely display the pop-up window to log in, and when it did, the Teamspeak button didn't seem to work for Firefox either. Just said "Connecting" endlessly.
  3. Yay guess who's back.... >.< Anyway, the Teamspeak button function on the website here doesn't seem to be working...I click it, and all I get is a loading bar at the bottom of the screen, and "Website Found. Waiting for Reply." And then, nothing. I'm using Internet Explorer 8. Figured it might be something to look into.
  4. If you are editing a .ide in the Program Files, which is some sort of "protected area" with Windows, chances are you do not have the ability to edit/modify files. In order to fix this, right click the file you want to change, and click Properties. Next, go the the Security tab, and click the button labeled "Edit...". Now, select your name (or the name of the computer, which ever is displayed) and check the Full Control option. Once selected, hit Apply, Okay, maybe Apply again, and close the properties box. Now you should be able to edit that file, and save it.
  5. Hm. Well, this problem is now resolved...I didn't realise that there was another games list in the Library tab...I was going to the Community tab, and going to the games list there...So after deleting the 6-7 extra LaunchGTAIV.exe's, I started it and it showed me as being in-game and everything. Thanks for the help guys!
  6. @ Iconography, the only other game I have for Steam is Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, which I installed from the disks, not downloading from Steam. I tried to add another game, but that also failed to show in my games list. @Revan, I do have it set to show all games, but nowhere do I have an option for installed/uninstalled games, either in the adding a game dialog, or the game list itself. And how do I run a game with Steam if Steam does not register that I have it? I dont know if it will help any, but my Steam ID is gnat008, nickname Arthas.
  7. Just restarted Steam, tried it again, nothing.
  8. Yep I browsed for it, found it in the GTA root folder, clicked it, and it showed up at the top of the list with a white checkmark in the box, so I hit the add button thingy (cant remember what it says exactly). It seems to do something, but when I look in the Games list, it is not there, nor does it regester me playing GTA IV.
  9. Nothing besides CoD MW2 SP and MP shows up on my games list.
  10. Try this: http://www.gtapolice...ting-system-v6/ lol Sorry Iconography, we tried to post at the same time I think so I didn't see your post.
  11. Hm..I don't know what I'm doing wrong...How is one supposed to add a game to Steam? I don't know if I'm trying to add the wrong thing, or if Steam just doesn't like me (which based on past experiances, is very possible...). I went to add a non-steam game, chose LaunchGTAIV.exe, hit the add selected games button, but it doesn't appear in my games list.
  12. If I had GTA IV installed before I installed Steam (for MW2), would I have to start the game from Steam if I added the game to my Steam account thingymajub?
  13. Is the ELS v6 you uploaded v6, or v6.2? On my computer, v6.2 is the update to v6 that fixes the stability issues.
  14. Only ELS v6 shows the street that you're on. A new one was released not that long ago that fixed the stability problems, so it works much better now.
  15. Nice videos! As for a gaming headset, I use the Creative Fatality headset, and I love it. If I remember right, it was around $40 USD at Amazon.com.
  16. Wait wait wait...There is not supposed to be any folder anywhere for any game called Root...The 'Root' folder is the first game folder, for example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\ When it says to put files in the 'root' folder, it means to put them in the first game folder you come to, like the example above (Note: You're looking for EFLC, not GTA IV).
  17. Yeah, I noticed that an updated version of v6 was out a few weeks ago, and I have yet to have a crash with it...I dont know what was changed, but I know that it works much better.
  18. Just tested this, and on the download page on this site, it has a link to another page on this site, but it gives the error message saying that "You do not have permission to view this page," etc...Maybe someone just forgot to set the user permission for that page/to download that file? *shrug* The link that you posted Sniper does work though.
  19. I also have a Logitech G15, and everything works fine for me on .91, so idk if the keyboard is the issue or not...Would be interested to know the answer.
  20. Okay ima ask a dumb question: Are you in a police car?
  21. Like others have said, this sounds like overheating to me. If you haven't already, you might want to try to check for dust in your system, as this can cause heat issues. Someone also mentioned overclocking software...Are you overclocking anything? Because this would really cause things to heat up if the processer is being clocked too fast without proper heat-disspation in place, and could also cause other harm to your system.
  22. Hm...Lets see... First off, just because something, in this case a cracked version of GTA, worked for x number of people, does not mean that it will always work 100% of the time for 100% of users...That is to say that it may work for some, and not others. That said, I ran a Google search of the error and got nothing pertaining to GTA 4...Although I did find this. However, I have no idea if this could be caused by using a cracked version with an error somewhere, or if it is being caused by something else. That is for minds more knowledgable than mine to look into. : )
  23. Not sure what version of LCPDFR you're using, and Harper told you how to go on-duty in 0.95, so just in case you're using 0.91: 1) Hit Alt+P (later, hit 'p' again, or go into your controls and change whatever setting uses 'p' to something else) 2) Chose what skin you want, then what car you want. Just read the bottom of the screen for directions. Hope this helps!
  24. If you dont have ELS, just press 'g.' If you are using ELS, hit 'g' for the siren, and 'j' and 'k' for the lights.
  25. Ah, okay, thanks for the info. And yes, I definantly see what you mean some of these support threads.
