  1. I'd assume then that when the settings file is manipulated it just overloads gta. (To many scripts firing off at once). I think that has to do with a lot of the crashes though. Accepting calls, arresting, transporting, etc. At some point more than one thing is being triggered and it just overloads it. Thanks for updating though. Hopefully the devs notice the pattern as well.
  2. The caps lock key will open the quick wheel. I use ELS so I don't know about the siren in lcpdfr.
  3. Let us know if it makes a difference. I'm trying to see if there's a pattern. (Most of the errors are only looked at as what the logs give, however I'm seeing a lot of these issues are just a tad bit deeper than that. Hope it works though!!! :)
  4. Do you have gta4 AND gta4 EFLC? If they're installed they're registered as completely separate games. I'm slightly confused about the first three sentences, it sounds like you're asking how do you eliminate EFLC from the gta4 EFLC disk, which you can't. When you uninstall though, make sure to go into the directory and make sure there's absolutely no gta files remaining. On a side note, I know the developers are working hard on making a fix, so you may have to wait. If I think of anything else I'll let you know. I know your specific issue isn't the only one, it's just this issue seems to be caused and fixed in a variety of ways.

  7. I haven't seen an AI pull anyone over yet. However I've seen one in the middle of a traffic stop (searching the trunk) however it seems to be a random spawn that's always in the same place.
  8. Since you prefer online, you would use dsound.dll - xlive.dll is to eliminate the online connection. I know that previous lcpdfr releases were stable online, however I haven't personally attempted to use it on 1.0. I'd think that to an extent it would work well, but with the join pursuit scripts that are running, it seems like there could be some level of conflict. Try playing single player a bit and see if there's a difference in crashes. Also did the above work?
  9. I've had similar issues since I downloaded 1.0 but I've managed to work things out and now I can get a solid 30+ minutes in before I start crashing. One question. (I don't know how relevant this is however it made a MASSIVE difference for me.) Are you using GTAiv or EFLC? If you're using EFLC try switching to just plain gtaiv and installing it there. I'm also assuming that you're running as administrator when you load up the game, since you have looked around on your own, I'm sure you've read that about a million times. Also something that helps me out a little bit is opening task manager and closing all programs that aren't being used. It doesn't make a huge difference but it does seem to help. But like I said, if you can try a game switch. (gtaiv to gtaiv eflc and the other way around). This isn't the most technical response however it's what finally got mine running. (Been trying since release and it's the only thing I've found.) Just found one more thing that seems to be a trigger. Use the default LCPDFR settings file if you're not already doing so. Don't alter it! Whenever I mess with the call out times and multipliers it seems to cause a lot of LCPDFR related crashes.) Hope it helps!
  10. I think it's just a compatibility issue. You SHOULD be launching from the folder. (Right click launch gta icon and run as administrator.) I'm not 100% sure as to why that improves stability, but it does and you'll see people talking about that when people are having issues launching the game. Secondly, if you're wanting to take screenshots/video you can always download another program, such as fraps. There's plenty of free and paid programs that work well.
  11. Are you running a lot of mods on top of lcpdfr? If so, try playing without those mods and see if it gets any better. Also if you're using modded vehicles it can be crashing the game out. GTAiv already uses a large amount of resources, so adding more scripts, vehicles, and peds in causes it to crash.
  12. It seems useless to keep this going. The longer everyone keeps replying, the longer it stays relevant. If you don't see a point in the post, don't feed into it. If mods feel it's pointless then they'll take care of it.
  13. Already have it installed. :p I think I'll probably wait for an update and see if it somehow fixes it. I'm absolutely clueless as to what it can be because it's not producing any errors anywhere. (That I know of.)
  14. Yeah, I'll do that here shortly. The crashes are typically just "GTA has stopped working." However on very rare occasions I get the unrecoverables. (Edit) I attached the files here. Arrested a civilian and after about 10 seconds it crashed saying gta has stopped responding.
  15. I've spent the last few hours working out the loader issues and trying to figure out why no scripts were running. I got it all figured out and I'm not facing a new problem, one that I can't quite figure out myself. Running WITH and WITHOUT other mods my game crashes. It typically crashes when making an arrest and trying to trasnport. It also seems to crash when accepting a call. (IF the call gets disregarded it's fine, the second the call is accepted and is about to route me it crashes GTAIV.) I'm running all of the updates necessary, it crashes with and without other mods, and it seems to be a constant thing. It's not really a "I played for this long and it crashed" It just crashes when the things above happen.

  21. Here's why I don't like religion being brought into MY life, why I don't like people putting their beliefs where they don't belong. I wanted to believe in god, I wanted to enjoy these "gifts" everyone would talk about. Then I learned that people believe something so tainted by mankind. "LOVE EVERYONE!" Except these people those people and oh yeah, don't forget them. If I was made in gods image, he would honestly have to be a little bit gay. Well that's the logical thinking but unfortunately people are so blinded by an outdated book of stories. Most of which can be interpreted a million and one ways. I don't believe that god said let there be light and all of that jazz. Science has proof and is willing to continue to back it. If you're not an extremist I suggest you study and read up on a few things. Check out evolution, that's a pretty cool one! You didn't actually come back with anything groundbreaking when it came to number 3. Like I said, exact names and dates and then I'll believe it. If you're willing to say that gays shouldn't be able to marry in the name of god then you ARE in fact judging. Whether you can see it or not. I'm sure quite a few could tell you the same. Say I marry in a church under the name of god, wouldn't it be between ME and GOD. Wouldn't I have to find out later on whether or not it was okay? Is me getting married to another man going to crumble your beliefs? Also, complete avoidance and some rambling on number 5 and yes gays are thrown into your mix of sins. You've also changed your thought son sin a few times now. Just a heads up. I would like to have faith, however I won't follow someone who doesn't love me 100%. I wouldn't follow someone who would condemn a soul for something like sexuality. Not once did I say you're an extremist or a 'normal' christian. Also, your post is semi offensive, at least to me. Because once again I'm being told that because of who I love I'm a sinner and also this is sorta a bad time for a gay joke... But on a side note I'd like to attempt to end this. Me and you are on completely different spectrum's when it comes to beliefs and I know from experience that neither of us are going to budge on our beliefs. I wouldn't want either of us to leave with a bad taste in our mouth. I do respect you for having faith and believing in God, however equality is something I'm very passionate about and I will fight for it. One way or the other, this isn't the way to fight for it. Just remember that your words can be harmful and with LGBT youth already feeling attacked, it's not good to add to the problem. We loose to many good kids to suicide as it is. As a final thought to @newyorkswat, I've studied the bible and I've practiced many religions. Perhaps you could take a step in someone else's shoes and expand your mind because "life without knowledge is death in disguise". Here's my interwebz handshake *shake* Thanks for actually reading what I've had to say. :)

  23. 1 more contradiction. This ones quite common though. "I have nothing against gays or them getting married just as long its not push under god" You can't say you have NOTHING against gays and then go on to say they shouldn't be equal to you.
