(Directed to the last few comments) JAM, I was not offended and honestly respect your stance. I am aware of the early stages with minimum knowledge as to what these two consoles will be about. Perhaps if I worded things different it would have been a bit more clear that this post was mostly directed to the dedicated sony/microsoft gamers. I didn't mean for this to come across as a "Which is better" type post just a simple "who are you most excited for?" Just out of curiosity I wanted to see who stood where regardless of the information. The only reason I'm even responding is to sort of clear the air with anyone on this topic and anyone who stumbles across it. If this post was made too soon and any moderators feel it's a problem topic you can close, lock, delete, etc. I honestly don't mind. :)

My Dad and I tried joining a server with him running V6 and me V7 and it was instantly kicking each other out. You might want to try matching the ELS before you go into the handling and vehicles. (Only saying that because switching the versions of ELS is a lot quicker than messing with vehicles, not my much but yeah.)

It's possible that one of the mods is causing it then. If you're running multiple things it'll tear the game up. (Scripts, vehicles, weapons, peds, etc.) I've had to redo my game numerous times, the best thing to do is get a fresh install and do a backup that way it's not so time consuming if you need to go back.

I'm not acting as if anyone is getting anything. It's a simple general question for people who enjoy gaming on different platforms. Honestly I'm probably not getting either of them, however with watching them I do favor one over the other. But I do know EXACTLY what you're talking about. They're both very quick to push extra fee's onto people. With that being said I'll add another choice to the poll to make it fair to everyone. :)

With both consoles finally sitting under the spotlight, which are you most excited for? Who do you think is going to have that extra edge? And which one are you going to buy first?

Lots of different things can cause it. Too many mods/scripts, els could cause it, and even just a bad install. As for fixes? Take out all your scripts and reinstall LCPDFR and run it vanilla. See if it still happens. If so you might want to think about reinstalling GTA IV. If vanilla LCPDFR runs fine then one of your mods is causing the problem. So put one mod in at a time until the issues come back.

With multiplayer all mods should match up. This is the way I understand it You have two computers in one server, both of them are modded differently. So YOUR computer is trying to run all your mods across the server and his are doing the same as well. So you have conflicting scripts and data which can cause severe issues. (Like I said, this is just what I've personally been told by a few people and it seemed to have been true. Perhaps someone with more knowledge on modding could confirm.) Also, it doesn't hurt to switch files around and match them up to see if they're the problem or not. :) Hope that helped.

You can force a pursuit. Just get behind a vehicle and spam SHIFT. After a few clicks they run. Probably not the ideal way but it works. :)

I got mine working be re-installing lcpdfr and ONLY copying the ELS7 files. Not the scripthook files. Seems to have fixed it. (Not sure if it's actually the issue)

Honestly I think the computer only causes so many of the crashes. What I mean by that is I've had to reinstall my game quite a few times since I started modding it. It seems like with each install I do the time frame changes of how often it crashes. Anyways, I have everything set relatively high with slightly lower view distance. (I feel the lower it is the more stable it tends to be.) As for the time frame of the crashes, it varies. 15 minutes to 5+ hours. :)

I personally haven't put this into my game yet so I don't know exactly what the model looks like. As for a texture I'm sure you could find one pretty easily.

I'm working on getting another mic/headset. The mic I had for whatever reason decided to stop working correctly. (Audio cuts in and out and is very very low even with boost.) As for the homemade filter, that's pretty smart. :) Hopefully I can get away from this terrible webcam mic sometime soon! :p

So I've decided to make a youtube channel and what not. I have the basics. Fraps, some editing software, and a mic. (It's a webcam mic that I despise, however it'll do for now.) But I was wondering, what do you guys use? What microphones do you use or do you want, what software do you use, etc. I'm relatively new to this so it would be interesting to get some feedback from some people who've been doing this for a while.

It sounds good on paper. However as we all know GTA IV has a habit of changing characters even if you're right behind them. One second you're stopping an older white lady and the next it's a biker. I like the idea of a general location and car however color and description of the suspect would make it unstable and most likely impossible to create. On a side note, to the creator. Good job, just don't let people pressure you into releasing a completely unstable script. Perfect it before adding. (I know that's what you're doing however I've seen a few people release terrible mods because people wanted them right then and there. :)

It seems good. But I have a suggestion. Do a slight microphone boost and turn game sounds down a bit. :)

Yeah. I've been playing lcpdf for a while and he finally decided to get gta so I could mod it. :p It's pretty interesting at times. Lol. I have footage of him blowing me up with a rocket because he didn't know I was on the ground.

LAPD vehicle pack, Harley Davidson police bike with LCPD texture, and ELS 7. Unfortunately things were buggy at times. :p
