DLS Lights go off when exiting vehicle
Hello all. As title suggests, as I exit the vehicle with Stage 3 lighting on, the lights go off when I exit the vehicle (as though they are tied to the ignition somehow) I've spent the best part of the day uninstalling ELS and adding the lore-friendly cars by 11john11. And this issue is really ruining it for me. I would hate to uninstall all of this just for one problem with the DLS mod. Does anybody have anything I can try in order fix it? I've played around with the .ini file but nothing seems to make a difference, and even after changing the keybindings to get in/out of the vehicle (because for some reason "F" by default does something to the lights that isn't listed in the config) the problem still persists. I'd appreciate any help. Posted here because the discord, as usual, is mega busy. Cheers, Mike

[REL] DLS - Dynamic Lighting System
BUG REPORT: [16.06.2021] DLS does something to the in-game radio (music) so it is permanently on. Even if you have it turned off in your settings via the slider, it will still play in AI vehicles (police or civilian) at full volume. -- Pros: There are settings within LSPDFR that mean it doesn't affect the car you spawn into. Cons: If you take control of a car that isn't a police vehicle, or any vehicle that the AI has previously driven, the radio will be on. From my testing, 100% of AI has the radio turned on. So when you arrest someone from a pursuit, or if the AI are queueing behind you, all you hear is music. It kind of ruins the immersion. Let's hope development for this mod are still ongoing considering ELS has reached EOL. The Lore-Friendly community rely on this mod for the sirens! ~ Mike S

In-game music permanently on
Started happening today. I have my audio music volume turned all the way down (OFF) in the pause/settings menu. For some reason, this doesn't work anymore. Even when I try to change the slider in the menu, the music volume doesn't change as it normally should. Luckily, the "M > Vehicle > Police Radio" feature disables this when I'm driving a police car. But any other car, no. Much worse, every AI, police and civilian has the radios on full blast as though I never turned down my music audio at all. This mean when I'm arresting someone or when backup arrives, all I hear is very loud music coming from at least 3 AI cars around me. And so far, 100% of AI cars has the radio on. Everything is fine in standard single player. Its only when I use RPH to play LSPDFR that this happens. I have disabled the mods folder, which changed nothing. I have even done "UnloadAllPlugins" to see if it was a specific mod that was causing it. Again, I still had the music issue. I want to say its more of an RPH issue than an LSPDFR one, but I'm not sure what plugins or other things are running in the background when I use the unload plugins command. even if it seems LSPDFR itself isn't running. This is making the game borderline impossible to play, so I'm needing a fix or an idea as to what's suddenly changed ASAP. I'm happy to provide a video outlining my issue if needed... Cheers, Mike

No option to turn engine off in interaction menu?
First of all, this compared to many posts is going to sound petty. I accept that. Allow me to put into context why this is of annoyance. I like pulling the car over, using a speed radar and catching speeders etc. I have a fuel script that uses fuel whenever the engine is turned on (duh physics). I don't know if its an LSPDFR 0.4.8 thing, but the previous version had it where I could go into the interaction menu, and turn my vehicle's engine off from there, thus saving fuel. The interaction now doesn't have that option. Just "On" and "Always On". the option to turn it off simply doesn't exist. Just want to know a couple of things, since this was the most reliable way to turn the engine off without downloading a plugin that breaks other functions of the car. a) Have I broken something? b) If its a feature that has been taken out... why? This isn't a MAJOR issue, but I'm yet to find a plugin that works well that lets me turn the engine off. So far all the ones I've tried turn the engine off, but leave it sounding as though its trying to start the engine constantly (basically the constant starter motor), which is arguably worse. Just for the sake of realism is why I'm asking. Cheers, Mike

Hi mate. Sorry for delayed replies. I have tried taking out callout packs and of course the problem still arises. my issue is that the crashes happen randomly, sometimes it can be a minute, others I manage to drive a few blocks away from the station. Rarely I can play a couple of callouts before the crash. With such a topsy turvy crash schedule I'm stuck.

I got 1 crash. Which is what the log is from. I renamed the mods folder and no crashes. However, I then put the mod folder back in, and no crashes. I've had to reboot my computer a couple of times yes - but only had that one crash. You asked earlier what I modified in OpenIV. Here's the full list: - EUP/SUP - Glock17 Gen3 - Realistic Weapon Sounds - Master Siren Pack - RadianceV - Gameconfig Because they are OpenIV files, they affect story mode too. So in theory, it cant be the OIV modifications because otherwise I would've been crashing constantly in base-game GTAV as well. Even when I load the LSPDFR plugin itself, my problems don't start until I go ON DUTY (and it loads all those plugins) RagePluginHook.log

Yeah I noticed as I watched the coroner get pinged into space by a Mule that it just brake checked. Still, the must be a way to get my backup to not just stop aimlessly in the road. unless that's a limitation of the game. Its not a game-breaking issue, its just annoying.

Just a side note: Is there anyway of getting the backup you call to not park in the middle of the road and block traffic? I just used UltimateBackup to call a coroner, and it parked right in the middle of the two waypoints I'd set in Scene Manager for the traffic control. I'm guessing that's what crashed my LSPDFR at least. Is there a way of getting them to per sé park up behind my patrol car so they aren't blocking the road. Cheers RagePluginHook.log P.S. Full game crashes seem to be fixed now. LSPDFR crashes I've just stopped caring at this point lol. There's always some AI-related crap that makes the game yeet itself

ah thats grand. didn't know that. thanks. Everything seems to be working, but like I said in OP, it can sometimes be 20 - 30 minutes between crashes. So for now lets say it's sorted, I'll post on this thread again if it crashes :)) Thanks for your help @evandatpotato@Charlie686

Okay so I deleted Wilderness and the game still crashed. I realise I didn't delete traffic policer so I'll do that now and try again. Posting this log because I was getting SERIOUS texture issues and all sorts of shenanigans. Even STP was slow. Any ideas? RagePluginHook.log Also, Traffic Policer comes with a road management section (that I use a lot) anyone know any replacements for that?

yeah I believe all i have is traffic policer. I have uninstalled everything else. I've only kept that one because I'm yet to find a different plugin that replaces what I can do with it. (STP does breathalyser etc. but I can't move the pulled over vehicle do a different location, or get them to mimic me for example). I've noticed Wilderness Callouts also uses an albo plugin (thats not installed) and I'm going to get rid of it. But its not that causing my problems. as I have already tested without all my callout packs. I'll delete traffic policer now for testing purposes and see if that fixes the issue 🙂

So title says it all. Game was working fine, then it wasn't. When and where in the game it crashes is entirely random, sometimes I can play for 20 minutes, sometimes only 3 minutes. The log seems to end 1 - 2 minutes before the crash and/or doesn't show any evidence as to what could be going wrong. I feel like its something that's trying to spawn that might be crashing it. However I've already taken out all of my callouts (they spawn at any given time in the world) to test this theory and nothing changed. That then led me to believe it could be the cars I use. However, if I go by the log, the last car to spawn is always different. Meaning it can't be a specific slot or pack causing the issue. These cars have also been working flawlessly before this started - i see no reason why they would suddenly start causing issues now. The only changes I have made recently are telling UltimateBackup what cars certain backup types spawn in (not that hard to do). I don't believe its these changes because I actually did this wrong, which caused the game to crash. I then fixed it and the game ran for another 4 hours before this selection of 7 or 8 crashes in 20 minutes. Its got to the point where my knowledge has run dry and I really have no clue what else to try. Anyone else got any ideas? Possible mods (again I'm not sure) that could be affecting it: - Added Traffic (haven't caused issues in the past, but does control spawns of emergency vehicles into ambient traffic) - Extra Slots (Allows me to have more than the vanilla number of slots for emergency vehicles. Every slot works, and I have been in contact with developer and everything is in order, so again unsure) - LML (If it isn't the two above, could it be the mod loader itself? Hasn't caused issues before but I don't know enough about it to say for definite that its not a factor) I've noticed that the 'not being able to blip vehicles with BCSO' has cropped up again. Even though I've already made the necessary modification to agency_eup.xml to fix the issue (again was working flawlessly before) It appears my game has had a meltdown? 😪 pls help, Mike

AI Lightbars Stuck On Solid Burn
Okay, so I fixed it... Turns out it was Rich's Police Enhancements. There's a setting called "EnableSilentBackup". Little did I know, this setting is reserved exclusively for stage 3 lighting (available only in ELS) Since I am currently using non-ELS cars, that's where my issue was going wrong. And it explains why I had never had this issue before (This is my first non-ELS pack) So all's well now... I extend thanks to the ONE (lol) person who replied and also those who helped me on discord. I'll leave the thread here for future reference in case anyone else has this issue. Ta ra, Mike

AI Lightbars Stuck On Solid Burn
SUPPORT UPDATE Been working at this for a couple hours longer and I have pinpointed the following: - When I am on foot/haven't been in a vehicle for a while, the AI lightbars DO work. - When I am in a vehicle/have been in one recently, the AI lightbars DON'T work. - In Story Mode, the vehicle pack and AI lightbars DO work as they should. - With the mods folder disabled and loading LSPDFR using RPH, the AI lightbars DON'T work. (I was able to replicate how stock vehicles were affect here) - After replacing the vehicles.meta with its vanilla backup the AI lightbars DON'T work. - I have taken out ALL Albo1125 plugins (and PeterU Callouts as it was linked) along with Vocal Dispatch as it was obsolete - I'm using Grammar Police. This problem only arises when I load the game with RPH. If I call police while OFF-DUTY then the AI lightbars DO work. However, once I have either done Force-Duty through the console or clicked ON-DUTY in a police station, the AI lightbars DON'T work. This means that the problems start when plugins start to be loaded in. I have tested every variable I can think of, and I think I'm fairly confident in saying its something to do with LSPDFR or one of the plugins I'm using. Personally, I don't understand why the plugins would be the issue as I have been using them all for a while, but there's a first time for everything. I'm 80% sure that the issue lies AFTER I have gone on duty. So if anyone has any ideas. I'd welcome them greatly :)) Thanks, Mike

AI Lightbars Stuck On Solid Burn
Hi all, Firstly I apologise if this is the wrong thread, it seemed the only viable/relevant area in the "Support" section of the forums. I'm having a problem with AI lightbars. It isn't necessarily ELS related (unlike other posts I have seen) but I am not ready to rule ELS out as a cause just yet. I have a non-ELS Lore Friendly car pack enabled. When I am in these cars the lightbars work fine. However, when AI are using them (and responding Code 3) their lights freeze. Headlights, and any secondary flashing lights on the vehicle (like flashing head/taillights for example) seem to work fine however the lightbars are the issue. Everything appears to be normal and working fine when they are in the distance, however when they get within a certain distance of me the lights stop working altogether. Despite this, when I get in these same cars the AI pull up in, the lightbars go back to normal. Meaning the models themselves aren't broken. Its just an AI thing. This is also the same story for vacant cars. For instance if I get in one police vehicle, the lights will work normally. However if I then get into a second police vehicle, the lights will stop working on the first. So the lightbars only seem to work on the car I am using CURRENTLY. To me, this looks as though the game isn't updating the lightbars properly as various actions that require game updates (such as getting into a car) suddenly make the lightbars work briefly before they freeze again after my character's action has completed. I'll admit, I have ELS installed and I'm using modified XMLs to make my non-ELS cars work for the mod. HOWEVER I have uninstalled ELS and reverted back to the vanilla police vehicles and the same problem persists. So it clearly isn't anything to do with my car pack or the fact I'm using modified XMLs. Mods I am using that could possibly be worth a mention are: - UltimateBackup - EUP - StopThePed - Enhanced Native Trainer - BetterEMS I don't see how these could be causing issues, however they have been modified in one way or another to suit my various AI or backup needs. Although I have said I'm sure it's not the pack. Yeah I'm experiencing the same option. StopthePed, snacks at the store, EMS healing me, or me using the heal option in the trainer puts my health down to almost 0 Is there a way of healing? pretty pointless if there isn't 😞
