lol nahh. No alienware... Thanks man for your help, I really appreciate it! ehh, not too much experience. Too much brain-racking, ordering parts, looking up how to do things... lol I just rather spend like $1300-$1500. I just have to grow some $100 bills first and then I should be all set... :laugh:

[API][WIP/REL] Callouts+ - Additional LCPDFR API Callouts
I'm having a bit of a problem: When I use the functions like a police barrier callouts+ encounters an error, I get the same call like 2 and 3 times in a row, the illegal street race call never worked and every time I accept the call callouts+ doesn't work. In general, I really love the whole idea of it. I just wish it worked right for me and I need a little help... Thanks!

Well, I'll take a look at Asus ones, preferably with 4GB video card memory. If I don't really find what I'm looking for then I'll look into the Sager and a cooling fan being that it could get really hot. At least I know which ones are really good to chose from. I know Alienware is just as good too, but I bet a great deal of their prices is paying for the 'Alienware' logo itself probably more so than what it's made out of. And elite gaming laptops like these are also good for regular surfing the internet, typing up stuff with microsoft office things, and other common computer uses other than gaming too, right?

The 4GB 860M is the Sager. And that would still be okay given the fact that it's not as much of a well-known brand like Alienware? And the Asus one has the same graphics card, but with 2GB video memory. So if I were to get one I should probably stick with the Sager then, right? Because of the video card memory? Also being that the Sager upgradeable too, I could always change it... The thing with my laptop is that it does run GTA 4 okay given all the stuff that's in the game, but it does get a bit laggy and crash a lot more than what I would be content with (if it crashes here and there, kind of a once-in-a-while type thing, I would be content with that). I have now a GT 635M graphics card w/ core i7 processor. I just don't know how much video card memory it has. I do know that in general the computer has 8GB RAM. And the better the graphics card is and stuff the less the game will crash? And also, with the overheating problem, I won't have to worry if I get a cooling fan for it, right? About how much do you have in GTA 4 (scripts, mods, ENBs, lcpdfr plugins, ELS, etc.)? And your Asus runs the game smoothly (minimal lag, no errors in scripts, etc.)? How often does your game crash?

Hi. Looking at the specifications and laptop itself, would this laptop (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-17-3-laptop-intel-core-i7-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-black/2990031.p?id=1219085427884&skuId=2990031&st=pcmcat287600050003_categoryid$abcat0502000&cp=1&lp=1) be good for GTA IV having a lot of scripts, and some plugins in LCPDFR installed? Would I be able to run LCPDFR and GTA 4 with a lot of stuff in it smoothly and maybe an ENB, snow mod (when it comes time), and all/any other stuff like that? And with the game hardly ever crashing and running very smoothly and a high number of fps? Will the graphics card (keeping in mind the video memory at 2GB-dedicated) be able to handle GTA 4 and a bunch of scripts, mods, ENBs, etc.? My limit with spending is about $1,300 and it has to be a laptop (no room for a desktop setup). I know the graphics card is good, but what about the video memory it can hold? How about this one? (http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8278-clevo-p170sma-p-6984.html) The only thing I'm kind of hesitant about is that I don't think I've ever heard of this brand before and I don't know if I should stick with a more well-known brand or not. Also I'm not too sure if 4GB of video memory is good enough for the stuff I mentioned about having in GTA above. It originally comes with a NVIDIA GeForce 860M 4.0GB (upgradeable). It is customizable, so I think, if I get it, I will probably cusomize it with a NVIDIA GeForce 870M 6.0GB (still upgradeable) for $150 more. Now, how would this be with the original 860M? I know it'll be even better with the 870M, but is it really necessary? Thanks!

Help with some game-crashing issues?
My game never crashed while dispatch was saying the street names. Don't completely take my word for it (I'm no expert), but you may not have lcpdfr installed correctly. It's all I can really think of or maybe you have two of one audio file and lcpdfr doesn't know which one to read so the game crashes. In your GTAIV Folder>LCPDFR>Audio>PoliceScanner>Streets take a look and see if maybe there is anything unusual, but honestly I have no clue so don't take my word completely. I think maybe the problem with mine is that something may not have installed correctly or something. I don't know, so I hope someone who really knows their LCPDFR stuff and game scripting comes on here and helps me out. I really need it... :laugh:

Help with some game-crashing issues?
Hey guys. I've been having some issues with my game crashing. I have wouters callouts and callouts+ plugins installed. I took a look at the lcpdfr.log file, but I don't really understand what it's saying about why the game is crashing. I just need help to resolve these problems so the game doesn't crash anymore. Also for a lot of callouts I get I will get dispatched the call, I hit [Y] (Yes) to accept the callout and then I get "Disregard " or "Crime Scene Cleared". This time I got "Disregard" after I hit [Y] to accept and then the game crashed after that. It never did that before. I installed wouters and callouts+ like two days ago if that helps. I'm sure you'll see everything in the log files that I'll attach, but I just need help to fix these errors causing the game to crash so it doesn't crash anymore. Thanks guys for your time. How can I get the police cars' lightbars to stop looking grainy when they are flashing?
eh, the thing is that ENBs tend to screw up the game, not work right and I have to end up reinstalling everything. I had it fixed the right way one time, but I can't remember what I did and to what file. I think it might've been the timecyc file. I doubt it was visualsettings, though..

Hello. What setting in the timecyc.dat file in Edit IV (or maybe it is somewhere else) affects the graininess of the light bar on police cars when they're flashing? I hope I'm explaining it in a way that you guys can understand; when the lights on the light bar are flashing, they are very grainy-looking, like, you could see every detail of the lightbar through the red/blue/yellow lights. Thanks guys!

Can someone help me with this ELS v8 problem?
It's not just one setting in SNT. There's one that says to enable/disable car god mode in the regular options menu and then if you go under the car options menu > second page, their is something similar to that, that when you hit it, it brings up another list of options for tires are bulletproof, player can be pulled out of vehicle, player can fly through windscreen, etc. etc. When I start up my game, my usual procedure is to make my cars invulnerable thus not being able to be destroyed. I had ELS v8 in, and it froze it as if they were all on at the same time (as mentioned above). I went on the download page for ELS v8 and it says: "Repairing the vehicle may cause the user's ELS lights to remain steady and/or desynchronize....." (it says that for multiplayer, though. It still applies for single player too, apparently). When I put the car settings back to normal again, ELS fixed and went to normal.

Found it! It turns out that if you have simple native trainer and you go under car options and car god mode settings and make your car damage-proof, ELS 8 will stay frozen and not work (for those of you with the same problem) It turns out you can't put your car on car god mode for the ELS to work.

Hey guys. I just installed ELS v8 into my GTA IV game and here is the issue I'm getting: When I go to start up ELS in-game (singleplayer) and hit the "Ctrl+M", the little ELS console menu comes up and here's what I get: Every ELS option is lit up so that when I go to light stage 3, the lights are just slightly blinking to the patterns they are on, but thay are also all on completely at the same time. (You will notice how all of the light stages are "OFF", yet all of the pattern boxes are highlighted in as if they were on and when I activate the lights, they all go on completely and slightly blink to the the patterns they are on.) Can anyone help me with this? Maybe it's a setting in the INI or something? For the record: I haven't changed any setting at all. I just backed up everything I originally had (ELS v7) and put the new ELS v8 files in their place. Thanks for your time! (PS- sorry if the picture I included is sideways, I just took it from my phone, transfered it to my computer and the whole nine yards... Just so you guys can at least see what I'm seeing without me having to explain so much.)

It's just that it's hard to do a realistic patrol when the ai drivers are unrealistically annoying the living shit out of you when it isn't like that in real life . and BTW- I don't recall requesting the annoying sarcasm in the thread. All I did was ask for the link.

Why are police car models with the valor lightbar all locked?
Yeah.. Fair enough I guess. I'm trying to mimic my local police vehicles and getting cars with the right lighting and lightbars is really hard. I wish it were easier.... I can never seem to get it just right.

I'm giving a shot at zmodeler for the first time in my life (wish me luck ) and I have been noticing that every vehicle model that happens to have a valor lightbar has a "Locked" model status. Why is that? By any chance would anyone happen to know where I can download maybe just the valor lightbar itself? Or where I can download a vehicle model with a valor lightbar that's not locked? Hi. I'm looking for a police Tahoe vehicle model with the valor light bar. I already have this one ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>), but I'm looking for one specifically with the LED light strip on the ram bar, flashers on the sides under the doors, a light strip in the back, and flashers all the way under the head lights in the front near the bottom of the ram bar. In a nutshell, look at all the things that I circled in yellow in these pics attached (click them to see it enlarged): I really appreciate the help, guys. Thanks! I mean it did affect times of the day and how that looks, but not one change to street lights or anything like that. I think I found another way to do this (make nights darker) with Edit IV. I'm going to give that a try...
