Hello. I have been into patrolling around in liberty city as a police officer in single player for about a half of a year now (in other words, since I got the game, learned how to mod-for the most part...). When I go in-game, I'll make the usual-traffic stops, respond to calls, etc., but what are some other interesting things I can do as a police officer in GTA, but, also, won't mean I would have to download (big) mods? I just want to know: what are some cool/interesting policing things I can do? I have been thinking about joining a clan, but 1- I don't even have a headset, 2- I really don't know which one to join, and 3- I don't know if I will have that commitment or time. So, what are some cool/interesting policing things that I can do in-game? Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks for your time!

Hello. I changed around a couple of my cars in gta 4. I switched "polpatriot" and "police2". I switched their handling.dat's as well, but I am left with the polpatriot sounding like the crown vic(police2) should and my ford expedition sounding like my crown vic should in polpatriot. How can I switch their car sounds?

Hello. I've been having this LCPDFR glitch for a little while now. Every time I arrest a ped in the game and call for a prisoner transport with the "F10" key, it's either no transport comes at all or one transport begins to come and then after, like, 2 seconds it disappears and I have to keep pressing "F12" for "additional units". After I would press "F12" a transport would begin to come and then it would disappear. I would then try to change my position, like, say, walk in one direction a little and then press "F12" again and I would have to keep doing that until one prisoner transport spawns close to me (that is usually the only time it wouldn't disappear is when it spawns close to me). Sometimes, also, when I would press "F12" the game would crash after no prisoner transport would come. Does this all mean I have to re-download/install LCPDFR or if I do so will that corrupt something in the game or mess it up somehow (I ask that because in previous times when I would re-install it, it would ask me "are you sure you know what you're doing?")? Help please? Thanks. Also, another thing that would sometimes happen with LCPDFR is that when I go up to a ped (whether it be a random ped or one I asked to step out of the car/vehicle) and press the regular "E" key it would act like I was aiming at it trying to arrest it as opposed to giving me the option to hold, frisk, or let go the suspect. How can this be fixed too? Thanks for your time!

Oh, okay. On the benchmark it had/showed my "Intel® HD Graphics 4000". I just get confused sometimes as to what graphics card I actually have, the NVIDIA GForce or the intel hd graphics 4000. Maybe the GeForce is my actual graphics card and my intel hd graphics 4000 is the graphics processor? Idk....... Otherwise...... Yes it came out great! Thanks for the help! I ran the benchmark with those settings you showed me, but with 1600x900 video mode. Here are my results/statistics: Average FPS: 22.74 CPU usage: 53% System Memory Usage: 42% Video Memory Usage: 34% It started a new game when the game started again. When I got up to the part in the beginning when it asks me to go meet roman, I quit the game and right after I quit it crashed and said GTA 4 stopped working...idk why it did that........ I just restarted it after it "stopped working" and I have to say that it has never been this fast. Very good results! I am not marking this a solved yet, though, because I just want to know what you meant by the "problem" kids have before. I didn't do a general update driver check, I thought by driver you meant my GeForce, so I went directly to my "GeForce Experience" program and looked around until I saw download or update driver (something like that) link. After I saw this post you made I went back to my intel and went looking around and I found an update driver link. (this is what I assume you were talking about when you said "make sure your driver is up-to-date) I just want to make sure I don't have any problem, I just get really paranoid when it comes to that stuff.

yeah, I went to my GeForce program instead. I went to update driver for intel and there was an update. I just updated it so my driver is up to date. It's just that I went to the wrong program, I don't have that "problem" that you said you've seen kids have, then right? I will do the benchmark thing now and let you know.....

This is probably a dumb question, but: What do you mean by "run the benchmark"? I checked and it said my "GeForce Driver is up-to-date" ......

I don't have any Icehancers or ENBs. I will try these settings but with reflection resolution and water quality on medium. What is "Video Mode"/how does it affect the game ?

They are on all medium except for texture which is on high (I changed texture quality from medium to high but either way it made no difference) and night shadows are off. Anisotropic filtering is on x16 but it isn't making a difference whether or not it's anything else.

Hello. I recently installed a new car mod. I installed the car mod for the model only, so I replaced the skins in the .wtd with my own and I took away the window decals. After I started the game, it worked fine, but it keeps lagging/skipping a lot. What can I do to make it run smoothly and work fast and like it should? I have...... -Operating System: Windows 8 64-bit -Processor: Intel® Core i7-3632QM CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHz -Hard Drive: 1TB (equal to 1024 GB) -RAM: 8.00 GB (7.87 GB usable) -Graphics: Intel® HD Graphics 4000 I also have a NVIDIA GEFORCE graphics card. Ok....phew..... .....that's good to hear. Because I know I have edited some stuff, but I didn't ever upload anything on the web for everyone to see/download. I have accidentally taken some screenshots because I pressed the wrong button, but I never uploaded them. BTW, where do screen shots get saved to? They don't automatically get uploaded, right? I'm assuming they go to some folder somewhere within the gta files, but I'm not sure. So basically people put that "You may not: redistribute/re-upload or edit" notice in the description/read me so incase someone intentionally decides to take credit for it they can't say "well, it never said I couldn't......"?

Hello. I guess you can say I am your typical, average, gta 4 modder. When I download a mod from a modding website (gta4-mods.com, gtapolicemods.com, etc.) I notice that some mods that are textures for cars and peds say that we may not/can't redistribute/re-upload and we may not/can't edit it. I completely understand why we can't re-upload/redistribute someone else's mod, but why do they say we may not/can't "edit" them? I have NEVER in my life EVER re-uploaded/redistributed any mod that I downloaded from someone else or for that matter uploaded any mod at all even of my own, but I am pretty sure I might have edited some to meet what I was looking for originally in the best way I can (for example, using photoshop to add/ maybe remove some things from ped/car textures or to build off of what was originally there-keeping in mind that all of this is for MY OWN PERSONAL gameplay use and ABSOLUTELY NOT to re-upload/redistribute.) It is only when I would go back to that mod's "read me" or its description on the website it is on do I realize that some say that we may not edit it. Is it okay if I edit/already edited some for my own personal use and not at all to re-upload? Thanks for your time.

actually, I found that ELS siren does work when you tap "y" for the air horn (ELS v7) and pulse it. Like if you press "h" and then cycle through with "t" to, let's say, the wail/yelp/phaser and while it's on you pulse/tap "y" it will work. I don't really know about the other ELS's.

I went in-game and opened my trainer, then I went to "car spawning" and I looked through it, but there is no "police3". Help? Thank you for your time!

I'm not necessarily asking for a step by step how to (although one would be more than welcome), but every time I look something like this up on how to do this, pretty much every forum from almost every gta modding website, people are saying that it requires skill including here. What exactly do you mean by "skill"? because I really want to add this little traffic advisor in the rear window. I know if it's locked by the person who put it out, I can't do anything with it, but would I be able to ask him or her to unlock it so I can do this? I don't at all plan on reposting it or sharing it or anything like that. Just for my personal gaming use.
