zGohanz reacted to EvilJackCarver in 2021 Tahoe PPVHonestly? I like the design of the front fascia more than I do the current generation of Tahoe. Looking at the civilian model from the Chevrolet website, it also kinda looks like it might have the indicators separate from the brake lights again (they combined them into the brake lights in 2014), which is always a good thing.
Not a fan of the fact that they went with touchscreens on the entertainment centre, though. Touchscreens do not stand up to abuse well, and they're most likely going to see abuse. It also looks like it's got a pushbutton shifter (don't like 'em either) - on one hand, it'll be easier to throw it in park for foot chases, but on the other hand, it'll be far easier to bonk it out of gear by mistake.
The ten-speed gearbox has me intrigued, though. It makes more sense for the SSV since that submodel is more kitted for off-road heavy-duty work (e.g. towing the search boat), since you'll need low gears for starting and high gears for cruise, but it doesn't make much sense to have it on the PPV. I'll be interested to see if there's complaints about it short-shifting or skipping gears altogether.

zGohanz reacted to Chaco in Opinions on Weapon Mounted Cameras (WMC)Back in February of 2020, footage of an officer involved shooting from the body worn camera (BWC) and weapon mounted camera(WMC) of Vernon Police Cpl. T.J. Session surfaced making the historical remark of the first ever weapon mounted camera shooting in the world.
As Vernon Police Cpl. T.J. Session attempted to make contact with a suspect he recognized as having a warrant, T.J. Session opened the driver side door to pull the suspect out, who then threw his vehicle in reverse and floored it while T.J Session hopped on (I'm assuming were) road runners of the vehicle. The suspect rammed the front end of Sessions police SUV with the rear end of his vehicle.
At that point Officer Session unholstered his duty issued weapon and hopped off the vehicle while the suspect presented a sawed-off shotgun firing at Session, striking him. Session had taken 41 shotgun pellets to his left arm and shoulder — where 36 pellets remain to this day. While at that point the WMC activated as soon as the weapon was removed from the holster and began recording. The WMC captured video evidence of the sawed-off shotgun the suspect presented which was not seen on body worn camera.
The WMC in question is FACT DUTY WEAPON-MOUNTED CAMERA manufactured by Viridan. The WMC offers 1080p HD video quality and audio with a 500 lumen tactical light or with a green laser addition.
Screenshots of the WMC are in the spoiler below. SCREENSHOTS GATHERED FROM Viridan - more information on the WMC can be found on their website.
What are your thoughts on a weapon mounted camera? Should more departments invest in this technology? Would YOU ever invest in this technology if you'd carry?
Let me know! I'm interested in seeing different view points.

I had a little setback so I’m expecting to release later this month. I’m currently trying to fix the little details but is definitely coming along. I live in Dallas and I have yet to see the Frisco cars in real life but they do look good as well!

zGohanz reacted to SGT Rick Wishaw in Your best LSPDFR 0.4 screenshots? It's this pack here -
There is an issue when you are far away from the vehicle - an orb like light appears above the vehicle but disappears when you get closer. This small thing bugged me so I changed it not long after posting this photo.

zGohanz reacted toDeactivated Memberin Seems like modders are leaving GTA 5 cop mods:(I started back in January of 2017. I've really noticed this as well. There aren't as many new plugins being released as there used to be. More so I've seen a decline in the quality of vehicle mods. I feel that the standards have be laxed and a lot of the top quality guys like BradM and thegreathah from when I started have left the modding scene. Which sucks because I really miss being excite for their new mods and being thoroughly impressed with them. In my opinion, FiveM has kind killed the lspdfr vibe, most cars you seen now are "non-els FIveM ready". I know a lot of us wish lspdfr was able to be played with other players and that FiveM RP groups have somewhat made that available. Too each is own I guess

Hello everyone! I'm just wrapping up a big pack based on Dallas Police, Dallas Marshal, and DFW Airport Police. They will include LORE friendly textures. Dallas Police will have a Prisoner Transport Van as well as a Crime Scene Van(Coroner). I'm also including Dallas Police cars with all black versions which is something I came up with. I would like to encourage someone to make Dallas Police EUP uniforms and even actual car models for the textures I'm releasing. So please leave some feedback and I plan on releasing in December 2019.

zGohanz reacted to PNWParksFan in [REL] Coastal Callouts Discussion ThreadI am pleased to announce that Coastal Callouts will be released to the public by the end of 2019!
First of all, a huge thank you to @LeGeorgettier for creating this fantastic trailer. He has been working hard on the trailer concept since the early beta versions of the mod.
To answer some common questions about the upcoming release of the mod:
When will Coastal Callouts be released?
I am still finishing some final details before release, so a specific release date has not been announced. It will be released sometime in fall 2019.
Will Coastal Callouts cost money?
No. Members who have donated to the Parks Benefactor Program can get early beta access now, but the publicly released version will be free for everyone.
Can I make videos of Coastal Callouts?
Anybody will be welcome to make videos using Coastal Callouts once it’s released.
Does it work with FiveM?
Yes and no. During the beta, use with FiveM is not allowed. Most of the DLC content will be compatible with and optimized for FiveM when the mod is released to the public. Some DLC content is not supported by FiveM, and none of the scripts are written for FiveM.
Why has it taken so long to finish Coastal Callouts?
Because I have a life outside of modding, and because I kept thinking of more things I wanted to add to the mod and I have high standards for what I release.
What do I need to run the mod?
You need the PC version of GTA V, and a decent computer capable of running GTA on good settings with mods running. If you can run LSPDFR smoothly, you should be able to use Coastal Callouts. RagePluginHook and LSPDFR 0.4 are both required to be installed.
Is it easy to install?
One of the things I am still working on prior to release is a custom installer to facilitate the installation. This is a large and complex mod, so the manual installation requires many careful steps.
Will there be additional updates?
Yes! I will be working on new features and callouts in the future, including the addition of larger Coast Guard cutters.
CREDITS: Full credits will be included with the mod. I'd like to briefly thank a few people now: @SkylineGTRFreak, who made the Coastal DLC possible; @alexguirre, who gave me a lot of inspiration and much advice and shared code along the way; and the LSPDFR and RPH developer teams for providing the underlying structure for these mods. The full credits file is about 150 lines long - this has been a team effort, and I truly appreciate everyone who has helped make this project a reality.
