  1. I would be very, very willing to test this :D Great job Obsidian!

Just a note about unarmed AI officers - if I'm running CO19 and need arms, will my partner get arms then? Or will that code not affect AIs?

Thanks! Currently the script only targets cops which are in the slots M_Y_COP, M_Y_COP_Traffic and M_M_FATCOP_1 so as long as your SCO19 units aren't in those slots their weapons will NOT be taken away.

    British Callouts Script

So I'm sure that anyone that plays with British mods will notice the biggest problem ruining the realism, the guns and excessive use of weapons. My British callout script aims to fix that. I've been working on this script for a few days and I've made a good amount of progress I would say. If this script is successful in its role you shouldn't find yourself in that situation where you only have an ASP or Taser and are facing a range of armed suspects. Which I'm sure many people that try to stick to true British RP will hate.

So far all testing has been very positive with no reported game crashes due to the script. I personally have been in-game for over 3 hours with no problems. I'm currently trying to work on a system where you get calls like missing persons and robberies more than high speed pursuits or arson for example to make the script feel more realistic. One of the unique features I'm planning that I haven't seen any script do is being able to set what division you are playing as. So for example if you want to do a British patrol you don't get calls like domestics and instead get more pursuits and anti social driving calls.

Currently aiming to release an alpha version at some point within the next week or two. I'm open to any advice and suggestions!

    Currently added calls

These calls are fully working but some may need some more work before full release to make them a bit more interesting and accurate

    • Male with knife
    • Female with knife
    • Missing male
    • Anti social driving (chav on moped = typical British problem)
    • High speed pursuit
    • Arson

    Planned features

    • Remove weapons from AI officers. (30% done)
    • Add more callouts like domestic abuse, robbery etc...
    • Add prank calls
    • Add area searches
    • Calls based on type of unit you are playing as
    • And more as and when I think of them or people suggest ideas.

    Images & Videos

I'll get some better screenshots and record a video soon!

  3. Hello everyone,

First of sorry if there is a dedicated board to write Scripthook questions in I couldn't find one so this seemed the most suitable. Anyway I'm currently working on a script mod for GTA IV using C# and I can't figure out how to get a GPS waypoint? I have a Vector 3 and a blip but I just want the GPS to automatically target it, how can I do this?

    Thanks

    ObsidianGames' Vehicle Mods!

Welcome to my thread where I'll show off my current WIP (Work In Progress) and post links when released!

A bit about me & my mods!

I work with a few friends who each have their talents! One is a great skinner, one is brilliant is making handling lines and another is amazing at 3D modelling lights, wheels equipment etc! I try to make my mods as realistic as possible but also remember that people want to use these models online and so try to keep all of my models well under 100K (So far I have been quite successful at doing so). An average model of mine is around 70 to 90K!

Here in London, England the Metropolitan Police use so many lightbars so here are some of the main ones and some photos to give with them. The Met at the moment is buying new cars every year. For example since the newest plate (15) which started back in March we have got two different models of trial IRVs (standard response vehicles), new bomb cars (Counter terrorism patrols), new parks police vehicles, new public order vans, new station vans, new officer carriers, two new traffic cars, new area cars (high performance response vehicles) and the list goes on as the Met continue to buy more!

Anyway back to the lightbars we use.

Premier Hazard Sovereign (Clear & blue lens)

Currently the newest lightbar fitted to most of the new fleet since about the time we changed livery. Blue lens ones are fitted to standard response vehicles like the 2013 Ford Focus Estates, 2012 Hyundai i30 etc.. Whereas the clear lens is fitted to the specialist units like traffic, firearms etc.. Which use vehicles like BMW 5 Series Touring (E61 & F11), Volvo V70 and BMW X5.

    Whelen Liberty

This bar is hardly fitted to new vehicles and is now a rare sight. Most commonly used on airport vehicles for Heathrow. It was fitted to older Volvo V70, Mitsubishi Shogun and let's not forgot the most loved and iconic BMW 5 Series E60 and E61!

Premier Hazard Maxim (Halogen & Strobe)

Very famous lightbar used on many of the old cars that come up when searching Met police into Google. Used on vehicles like the older BMW 5 Series E60, Vauxhall Omega and so on.

    Whelen Edge (Strobe)

Used on some of the older traffic fleet still but it set to be replaced very soon! Vehicles fitted to include older BMW 5 Series E61, Shoguns etc..

    Whelen Ultra Freedom

Was used after strobes were replaced by LEDs. Before modern slimmer light bars were introduced and began being used across the Met's fleet. Used on similar vehicles as the Whelen Edge including BMW 5 Series E61s and Shoguns.

    Premier Hazard Lomax (Mini)

Used mainly on the modern station van fleet! Including the Ford Transit and now also the Ford Transit Customs which have only just been used!

I'm sure there is some I've missed but you should get a feel for the vast array of lightbars the Met uses! Please ignore any obvious mistakes it's half 4 in the morning here!

    Just to confirm.

The 3 letters on the roof and sides of the cars (Now also on the rear windows with the new late 2014 / 2015 fleet) is completely random. As QuantumHD said they are just the vehicle identifier. There is only one exception to the lettering. DPG and Special Escort Group have numbers on their vehicles. For example a SCO19 ARV may have FDG as it's identifier but a DPG vehicle could have 12. (Some of the older DPG cars were also red they have stopped this now as the lower the resale value of cars).

I believe you was getting confused with these:

    IRV: Incident Response Vehicle.

    ARV: Armed Response Vehicle.

    DSU: Dog Support Unit.

    ASU: Air Support Unit.

    POV: Public Order Vehicle.

I think there may be more but I can't remember anymore at the moment.

    I hope this helps.

  7. Okay it most likely wasn't templated to UV channel #2. I'm not sure how experienced you are with modding so I'll explain.

When you UV map a object you can select what channel to map it too. Here is the window that comes up with the option shown

    a656c436bdf552fb62264076b2103df6.png

I think the model wasn't mapped to UV channel #2 but you are telling the material to look for the mapping on #2 but it doesn't exist giving you the black.

  8. No you can't have two sets of extras for different parts of the car. But you can have extra_1 on one door and extra_4 on another but they can not longer be used anywhere else on the car because they would move when the door opens also.
