The sad part is... when you're good at the work, people want more... and if you start producing more, then you quickly transition from a hobby, to a business... and that business has to be supported somehow. The answer is usually charging, because just relying on donations doesn't cut it.

I personally have nothing against those who do charge. That is their operation to run, has no impact on me, and really isn't anyone's business. But when it comes to dev models and parts, I come into it knowing that I'll likely have to pay to use it... because the guy who bought it from TurboSquid or whatever also paid for it. And you either take the loss if you can afford it, or you find means to offset your expenses. Not everything is free in life, nor should it be... that's just not how it works.

Wouldn’t do that if I were you.
I guess I’ll be the one to say it, this is by far the worst version of LSPDFR I’ve seen yet. I’m still playing on 0.4.7 because of all the serious issues it’s caused not only for me, but to many others as well. Don’t get me wrong, I love this website, I love playing lspdfr, but what I love most of all, is presenting a new version to my audience that doesn’t destroy their game, doesn’t disable their plugins, and actually works. IMO this new version needs to be rethought, redone, and looked over carefully before releasing it to the public because I can assure you that half of the people on here never take time to read the description, they just click the download and go with it. I’ll stick with 0.4.7 for now, but this new version of lspdfr needs some serious improvements.

    Hello,

Even though this has technically  been solved, I will just add that like everyone else said, whenever Rockstar releases a Title Update, it will make your mods folder obsolete. The easiest, and best way, around this is to make a copy of the update.rpf in your mods/Update folder and put it on your desktop. Then go into Update and copy the update.rpf and paste it into mods/Update. This will no longer make your mods folder obsolete. Also, and this is important, doing this will wipe whatever was in your update.rpf prior to you adding the new one in. SO MAKE THE BACKUP BEFORE!

    Hope This Helps! 🙂

Although I know that a fresh install is always recommended with a new update, I just wanna know, if anyone else out there, has installed the newest and latest versions of LSPDFR, ScriptHookV, and Rage Plugin Hook? If you have, was it successful? As in, is your game up and running? Or, are you having issues, such as, an infinite loading screen, crashes, certain mods/plugins not working, etc? Just curious if anyone has found a fix to these issues? I have reverted back to 2060.1 and my game is running smooth as it always has, but the new update has kind of got me puzzled and any input and/or help, would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all in advance!

Typically it takes a few days so it may come out in the next 2 days.

Yeah man I totally understand. I will say this man. It always pays off to back up your game version through Rage. That a way when these updates from GTAV hit us, we can revert back to that backup, and still play while waiting on ScriptHookV, Rage Plugin Hook, and LSPDFR to update. But I get your new man. It happens. But just for future reference brother, always back up your game version. Just trying to help out my man.

I play the game for the realism alone. LSPDFR has come so far in just this year with all the more realistic mods creators such as yourself have made for the game nowadays. I think my “woah moment” would probably have to be when Red Callouts were released giving me the advantage of doing Bounty Hunter episodes with that interior warrant Callout included in the pack, but there are so many things that I truly love about this mod that it would take me forever to type them all out. LSPDFR is the top notch and most realistic mod/police simulator that’s out there today. I could never see myself going back to flashing lights after discovering LSPDFR. I would definitely give it a 5 star rating for sure, and to all the creators out there that put their time and effort into these amazing mods for us to enjoy, I wanna personally say thank you to all of you for all of the hard work and countless hours that goes into this game. So from all of us in the Criminal Justice community, we thank you all for everything you do...

I've had more fun playing LSPDFR than the GTA V story mode, online, and any other video game I've ever played. It has infinite replay value. I've played for hundreds of hours, and every shift will bring something different. Each day I will get different callouts and ambient events that unfold differently, and bring me all over the map. When I go on duty, I never know what will happen in my shift, and that's really exciting. I've heard numerous real life cops say that's one thing they love about police work. In that respect, the developers really managed to replicate that into an outstanding gaming experience.

Does anyone know why Bejojo has that self disable feature for his mods? While many of us find it annoying, he probably has his reasons for it. I don't update to a new LSPDFR version until I confirm that Bejojo has updated his mods for the new version. I have been using his mods for so long, I can't play without them.

That doesn't address whatsoever the question of why they won't load if you're on a newer version of LSPDFR than they were built against - especially a newer minor version such as 0.4.7 -> 0.4.8. It would be trivially easy to have the version checker display a warning that the version hasn't been tested and isn't guaranteed to work, but still allow the mod to load with a warning. Any excuses about it generating excessive support requests are clearly misguided when you look at the sheer volume of complaints and support requests generated by the version lock itself. I offered to Bejoljo an example of how I check versions of dependencies for my mods to provide warnings without locking people out, and he thanked me by banning me from his discord server for the audacity to suggest a simple solution to his self-imposed issue.

I am also very grateful for these mods. There nothing short of amazing. I’m actually grateful for a lot of things and have a big reputation on YouTube for being helpful, courteous, kind, and quick to answer those in need. Ask anyone who watches me.  However, when I’m cornered as I was here tonight, I don’t take lightly to it. I never could stand a bully. I will always be very loving and kind to everyone but when you try and pin me down, i won’t stand for it. I’ll always continue to produce content for my audience using this amazing police mod that was made by those whom I’m sure spend countless hours making and designing these for us in which we all truly do appreciate what you all do here. But, the fact remains, I only wanted to see how the issue was gonna get fixed. Instead, I got mocked, called a liar, and pretty much got spit on because I called out a mod that imo needs some work? Is that not what we’re all here for is to talk and communicate so that we can figure out these issues together? It’s not a community when people are knocking other people. That’s not a community at all. I hope the issue with the new LSPDFR 0.4.8 gets resolved soon. And not once have I ever put out anything false or negative on my channel. That’s just not who I am or what I represent. The vlog I did about LSPDFR was accurate to the best of my knowledge and was coming from a personal view and/or perspective. It might work for some PC’s and others it may not. I’ve seen this happen to many times. There are those who can use certain plugins and Callouts etc and their game runs fine, then there are those who can’t. Anyways, I really do love this mod, but the specific people that I had to deal with in this community tonight, not so much. Have a great night everybody and I hope to see better and newer mods in the future.

I can assure you there was no attitude behind what I said, I was only speaking about what this particular version has/had done to our game/games. If honesty makes you not wanna create this amazing mod for the community, then you should probably listen to us and take heed to the problems that’s brought to you. Ive even talked with you all on Twitter about this multiple times from the issues we had with 0.4.7 and you all just brushed it off and blamed rage instead. So excuse me if I feel as though right now that what I’ve been saying for a long time has been brushed under the rug. Now as far as the issues go, I told you what it did. It destroyed my game, it loaded in once, I forced duty, it froze. I literally tried loading in again 4 times in a row, even one of my friends tried loading in literally 10 times and it was the same for him as well, and we both took all the necessary steps, restarting our pc, verifying our game files, making sure all drivers, windows, games, etc were all up to date, and it just gave us both a continuous black loading screen after that. And there are so many others that are having these same exact issues. Anyways, After I went back to 0.4.7, it fired right up. Plugins, Callouts, OpenIV Modifications etc were all working great. So that 3rd party stuff... well I guess we’ll agree to disagree. I apologize that you took what I said completely out of context. The things I say might sound rude, but I can assure you yet again, that they are not intended that way. So, what can be done to fix this? Because I would love nothing more then to move onto a new version that from what I read and seen, had a lot to offer. So what’s the next step from here?

    Hey Everyone!
I started working on a mod which makes you a Bounty Hunter in LSPDFR!
I've got lots of ideas about the whole thing and I made the first few steps of developing it!
If you have any questions or suggestions about a mod feel free to share with me!
I would like to make better callouts than now and also some outfit for example this tactical vest which was the first thing that i made!
And if you are good at making mods and you have time to help me, just drop a line!
I appreciate every single suggestion and help!

Yeah man. Its no problem. It sounds as though the file itself might be corrupted. I hate to say that cause that's the last thing that any gamer wants to hear and that may not even be the case here. I'm just saying. That's what it sounds like to me imo. Have you tried verifying the integrity of your game files?

Dont use patchday 21 if that's what your using. Use patchday 20. I still use patchday 20 to this day and it never fails me. So try installing those sheriff vehicles into patchday 20 and see if that works.
