If you go into your lspdfr.ini, inside the lspd folder, you can add the following lines to change the previous suspect encounters.
    (Don't include he "quotation marks")

"Ambient.DisableEscapedSuspectEncounter = True"   -This will disable the encounters all together

"Ambient.EscapedSuspectEncounterInterval = 45000"   -This changes how often you will encounter a previous suspect in milliseconds. So the default 45000 is 45 seconds.

Thing is, it's not like we added twenty new major features to 0.4.2.  We have been through LSPDFR 0.4 a lot and we have optimized its performance just about everywhere we can.  For the majority of people, LSPDFR 0.4.2 on its own is absolutely fine.  Similarly,  you can go on YouTube or even just have a look at the Gallery and such here and you can see the countless people that have no issues with LSPDFR 0.4.2 and other mods too.

We strongly recommend that people install LSPDFR 0.4.2 on a fresh, clean copy of GTA V and then see about installing other mods afterwards if everything is fine.  Obviously, with each release we fix a number of issues that are within our control and we've also been bringing more testers onboard as well to see what else we can do, but our hands are tied otherwise.

Thanks will try it. Sounds like that could be the problem.
I remember doing this for the last lspdfr I had and it worked. So thanks for reminding me and helping

The argument that guns are hard to obtain, is null and void. It's like drugs. Just because they're illegal and hard to obtain, doesn't mean they're not prominent. It'l super easy to buy them, if you know what you're doing. If a thug wants to carry a gun, believe me, he'll get one.

Saying that they have a better rep than US police officers because they don't carry guns, is ignorant and stupid. The problems in the US aren't caused because they have guns, it's psychological (maturity, power trip, racism, etc.). I don't see any reason why they shouldn't. Especially with the way the world is going.

The amount of gun violence in the UK is very low when compared to the United States and other countries. In-fact, it's one of the lowest in the world. I see no reason why officers shouldn't have access to fire-arms (say, in the trunk of their vehicles) but I personally do not think they need a fire-arm on their duty belt.

I think they should be more like the New Zealand Police Force, NZ Police do not carry firearms on them unless needed in which case they can equip them from a safe in the trunk of their vehicle. They have tasers with in easy reach (contained in the glove box) and they also have specialised vehicles that carry "heavier" weapons such as assault rifles, shotguns and so on.

With the argument "that firearms are hard to obtain in most parts of the UK", just because they may be difficult to obtain doesn't mean it's impossible. Maybe there is an ARV within two minutes but think of this scenario, two officers perform a traffic stop on a random vehicle on the side of the motorway, one officer approaches the car, the other stays in the Police car. Out of the blue the driver opens fire on the approaching officer and immediately exits his/her car moving towards the Police car, what is the second officer going to do, throw a can of OC spray at the offender? Maybe their ticket book? Or maybe because they have no way to defend themselves against a firearm the British Police Force will loose two officers because the perp didn't want to wait for an ARV to arrive.

    Just my thoughts.

IFFYISBEEFY reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.4.2 - Coming Soon!
Hot off the release of LSPDFR 0.4 a couple of months ago, we're upping the ante with another update which brings not only sweeping improvements to the LSPDFR 0.4 API, but also some unique features which have long been requested.

Originally, the plan was merely to release 0.4.2 as a quick follow-up to 0.4 and 0.4.1 - just simple fixes and changes, plus the API improvements to help developers make the most of 0.4.  Necessary changes, but not really cool enough, right?  So, with that in mind we took a little time to dig back into the archives of LSPDFR and revisit some of our old concepts and ideas.  Now, while some of these are actually in the mod - they're most likely either tucked away as 'easter eggs' or just disabled because they weren't quite right.

If you're a connoisseur of traffic stops, for example, you might've noticed that occasionally the unexpected and oh so demoralizing experience of pulling over a federal agent hits you right in the feels as they arrogantly flash their shiny badge, tell you where to stick your comparatively less shiny badge, and drive off.  (If you haven't seen this before, here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNOxZR2ak0M)

Originally the plan was to add this as a feature for players to use, but it just didn't quite fit in with 0.3, and we had some trouble with the animation not being quite as fluid as we'd like.  That was then, though, and given that you now play as your own character both on and off duty, we thought it'd be a bit of a must-have now, so we've tidied it up and are introducing it as a player action in 0.4.2.

With one quick glance at the shimmering shield, her problems are suddenly your problems.  (Note, a custom badge model is shown instead of the default FIB one - you will be able to define custom models to use on a per-agency basis)

Now, not only does this look exceedingly awesome, but it serves a practical purpose too.  Available both on and off-duty, showing your badge will clear any wanted level and may also instill the fear of the law in nearby citizens, potentially de-escalating the otherwise unavoidable confrontations that flare when you walk around Mirror Park without the latest iFruit phone, for example!

Of course, that's not all.  Continuing with the idea of adding things that are just generally cool, we know that people have wanted a ballistic shield feature in LSPDFR for quite some time.  Sure, you can spawn one with a trainer or download another mod, but it's just not quite the same is it?

We thought it'd be particularly sweet to have it at your fingertips instead, fully integrated with LSPDFR, ready to kick some butt.

As if being Frank Tenpenny isn't cool enough...

Our ballistic shield, accessed from the Interaction Menu, uses our new animation system in 0.4.2 which we think looks absolutely gorgeous.  There's also the freedom to switch between Stealth and Action mode which will vary your pose accordingly, compatibility with most weapons and the potential for future AI support.

Oh yeah, did we mention you can actually arrest people at gunpoint while holding a freaking shield?!

Keep your eyes open for LSPDFR 0.4.2, coming soon.

I don't think LSPDFR intentionally removes anything.  The problem is most likely that we load the GTA Online map (necessary for the police station interior) and I suspect this has some implications for props (it may be that the prop density is lowered for Online)

Not sure what this has to do with LSPDFR 0.4, but I will say that considering how much @Albo1125 has given the whole community with his work, I think this comment is in poor taste.
