  1. What is the new countdown at the top of the page for....? I'm not going to speculate...thanks again G17 for all of your effort on this mod.
  2. Um...I really don't think this is a bug. Just a way of differentiating your gaming experience. In fact in police jargon Code 4 means: under control or no further assistance required.
  3. Arrest is ALT+H check the Controls...for LCPDFR here: http://hub.lcpdfr.com/lcpdfr/wiki/keys Edit: Sorry Francis didn't see your post before I finished mine...
  4. Alright guys the laptop is on it's way. Ordered it today and I got a FREE Xbox 360 to go with it. Now the waiting game for it to arrive!
  5. If you had read my post you would know I have to have a laptop for college. I know desktops are better for gaming but right now this is my best bet. @:BroCop: If you want I can post the link to the computer on Dell's website? @MikZer: If it was not coming directly from Dell I would be very wary of it. But I love the 3 year service plan I'm adding to it. (Just in case ;) )
  6. So does 7-Zip work as well as WinRAR? I might be leaning towards it just to be safe...
  7. It's only a trial version though? Can you give me a link to a free version?
  8. Hey guys, My laptop will be here in 2 weeks so I'm getting all my ducks in a row in advance of it's arrival. I need to know a program, compatible with Windows 7 (64 bit), that can open a rar file since most mods and scripts I've looked at seemed to be zipped in this format. I've heard of a program called WinRar but I have also heard that it cost money... Looking for something in the freeware category, thank god GTA IV is on clearance for 16 bucks now...
  9. Isn't dsound recommended by lcpdfr? And how would I install a 100% save game?
  10. Did not know that thank you for clearing that up...
  11. Hey guys, Me again, I'm wondering exactly how far into GTA IV I should play before installing LCPDFR. I really do not want to re-play the entire game as I've done it too many times to count on the Xbox. I've also researched the Simple Native Trainer and understand that it has a feature that unlocks all of the islands. So, should I just play the first mission then save and use SNT every time I start the game? or Should, I play deep enough into the game to unlock the islands permanently? Reason I'm asking is because I am a bit wary of installing SNT, I don't want a whole bunch of unnecessary mods... Thanks again for all of you guys' help.
  12. Thanks that's what I thought is was just couldn't remember. I read it somewhere on GPM...so there a 7 replaceable police vehicles in GTA IV? And can you really add vehicles to the files cp is talking about?
  13. So exactly how many police vehicles are available in GTA IV. I know the EFLC has than the original but I can't remember exactly how many either games has.
  14. Not positive, but I believe that AI cars only react to the default in-game siren sounds. In other words they ignore ELS or modded siren.
  15. Thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to get one from my cousin.
  16. Believe it or not an Inspiron 17R.
  17. This thing is coming STRAIGHT from Dell. My mother bought her last two from third party venders and they've both sucked. Best thing about getting one from Dell is Mcafee anti-virus comes stock.
  18. Thanks hoping this thing will help me out with my Computer science classes. That and give me something to do when not in the field with ROTC. My July is shaping up to be pretty good: getting this laptop for 18th birthday and going to see Motley Crue with my girlfriend when she gets back from NM.
  19. Yes more than likely this is the one I'm going to end up settling on. Has everything I need for college in a addition to the specs listed above.
  20. 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM processor 2.00 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 2.90 GHz 6GB3 Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz 640GB4 SATA hard drive (5400RPM) NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 525M (128-bit) 2GB 17.3" HD+ (1600 x 900) LED Display with TrueLife™ And best of all this thing is only about 900 dollars!
  21. Thanks for all the input guys, I'm going to go with the NVIDIA card. Hopefully I'll be up and running in a few weeks, my parents are going to throw in the 300 bucks I still need. Gotta love having a July birthday.
  22. So all the idiots saying it took them 4 hours and various calls to customer service are just what they are...idiots? Honestly I don't see what the big deal is towards SecuRom, just did some research, a lot people say they refused to buy the game because of it... 2 more questions. 1. Should I go ahead and sign up for R* Social Club before purchasing the game? 2. Does the game disk really HAVE to be in the disk drive in order to play the game?
  23. I've been reading some pretty bad reviews for GTA IV for the PC. People say that it is very frustrating and aggravating to install. Can you guys confirm if this is true and explain why, oh and what exactly is SecuRom?
  24. I've heard a lot of people say ELS v6 crashes their games. So what exactly is different about ELS v5 (which appears to be more stable?)
  25. That's what I've always heard: that NVIDIA cards are rock solid. I don't expect to have great frame rates though, I unfortunately need a laptop for college that I can also use to stem my video game addiction, XBOX is staying at home, and I've fallen in love with LCPDFR, because my plan is to be an MP in the US Army after college. So I'm trying to find the best possible solution without killing my wallet.
