  1. Everyone at work has some privacy, such as text messages, snapchats ect because legally departments can't search that type of stuff. Unions have thrown a massive fit and have won in cases such as this.
  2. Respectfully agree to disagree. The body camera concept is still pretty new and has several drawbacks. One of which is where they fail to catch a shooting, like the case locally here. Long story short: Officer Dear's body camera failed to catch the shooting, people argue the camera was either tampered with or had a mechanical issue. Dash cameras only catch the front of a vehicle, not anything off to the side or behind so they're useless if a shooting goes down behind a car. My local SO uses belt tape recorders, as old school as they are, they've never failed so I believe they're the most failproof way to protect an officer and his career.
  3. I'm not taking sides here nor am I going to criticize anyone but I've been modeling for V a little over a year now. LODs are important as are poly counts. Although there's no "official" poly count guide or anything like that. It's always best to try and get a model as low as you can without loosing details. L0 should always try and have an HQ interior if at all possible, L1 should have a 2d interior or some interior parts, at the very least. L1's poly count should be at least half of the L0. L2 should again, be an optimized version of the L0 and L1. L3 and L4 should probably just be a default car because making LODs that low is a pain in the ass. Now onto poly counts, most cars shouldn't go over 300k with all the equipment and what not (personal preference). Base models should try and be maxed out at 150k (more or less personal preference, again). Lastly, the higher poly the car, the more resources the game spends to load it. Not saying high poly is a bad thing but if there's a lot of high poly cars, you'll get game issues such as textures popping and possibly crashes. Ultimately, if a car is super high poly, you shouldn't have it as a car that spawns often (put it in a slot such as fbi or policeold/policeold2 as those rarely spawn unless you have a modified backup.xml)

  5. It's not released yet
  6. Very early WIP screens of the last of 3 17 FPIU's I'm completing for BCSO. School starts back up for me next week which means I'm losing nearly 80% of my free time. I will continue to work on cars as my schedule shouldn't change outside of school starting back up. I will get together cars for release by the end of the month..yeah, I know it's a long time but it'll be worth it, trust me. Caprice Convert is still happening but this is simply being worked on while I wait for a friend to fix up the bodyshell.
    Another masterpiece from God himself.

This siren sounds awesome for your first one. The levels of each tone seem close enough to the real thing so you get 5 stars from me. I look forward to what you bring in the future.
  10. Finally. I've been wanting one of these for the longest time. Great work!

  13. I'd recommend redoing the tire dummies and COL's that will normally fix the issue.

  15. No. EDIT: Reason they won't have radars is, I'm basing these things off the real thing so they don't use radars in most of the crown vics.
  16. I've completed 3 Vics so far. Expect those to be released early next week sometime. This means, I will be releasing cars as I complete them so stay tuned!!
