[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
That damn 2016 Explorer...First the LAPD and now the CHP too? They need to relax! Desmond hasn't finished the 2013 version yet, and they're already moving onto the 2016 version?! They do look very good though, but I still prefer the older 2013 version, for now Another one:

Both! I can get rid of that LASD Vic then! The Caprice looks amazing, so does the Expedition

The Ford Expedition?! I know TaylorSwift was working on an Alaska State Trooper Expedition. I wanted create the Ford Expedition as well, but I have no experience whatsoever with modding, so I'll leave that to those who know. But yeah, do it! CHP: LASD: Also, with regard to the Dodge Magnum, that'd be pretty cool too, they're unusual cars since the US isn't big on Estates as we are in Europe, its either saloons or SUV's with you guys. Three Cali based users: http://policecararchives.org/california/alameda_images/cnpca22509.jpg Any of those three set-ups would be pretty cool, they're different to the normal cruisers, I like all three, but I know some people are tired of the arjent lightbar.

Is your intention to create a slicktop LAPD Crown Vic? Because that would be pretty cool to see, exactly like the one above... (even though I already have a lot of Vics in my game already.

Is that the new door? Because a while ago you did both the front and back doors, but those in the image aren't the same.

Your Favourite Quotes?
I've got quite a few, I'll post two (a motto and a poem) Royal Air Force's motto: "Per Ardua, Ad Astra" Latin for Through adversity, to the stars. Which is so perfect really, because it recognises that there will be difficulties in achieving success, and that its part of the journey. I like that it can be both literally taken as to the stars, as pilots are those closest to them (except Astronauts) and metaphorical (to success). It's so simple, yet realistic and motivational, very relatable to any pilot as well, no one has a perfect run in life. There's also a poem by John Gillespie Magee High Flight "Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there, I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air.... Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew — And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod The high untrespassed sanctity of space, – Put out my hand, and touched the face of God." A cool topic, it's something that we all have, but never think about it.

Sheriff is heading home with his new boat.
I'd take my chances and flee, if I saw a cop car towing a boat... Just for the pure comedic value of seeing the boat snaking as soon as the driver goes over 50mph. And the drivers face in the mirror like:

You didn't get a video of the interior? To remedy that, I suggest you go 100mph on the motorway, and get pulled over by CHP (make sure it's a Ford Explorer, if not you'll have to do it again). Nice images of the Explorer though, I expected there to be much more in the boot than that, since all that equipment can fit into any saloon car, like the Ford Police Interceptor. Where are the cones and road stuff?

Ahh, like the on BxBugs LASD CVPI, those two lights at night? So when driving around its visible but it's not pulling people over. Yeah, that would be a good thing to have.

[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
Haha, yes I've noticed the inconsistency of the LAPD fleet. About the only consistent thing I've found is they're all black and white (except K-9). Is there any way of knowing the age of the vehicle from the number plate? Like with the NYPD the plate has the year of registration on it.

The mirror lights aren't Whelen ION's The image below is of the Whelen ION mirror bar. Ford provides their own mirror lighting, which is all integrated into the mirror housing, its option 63B from Ford. AS you can see, the mirror shape is entirely different in the LAPD's vehicles. Their vehicles use the Ford provided emergency mirrors (option 63B). The last image was from the Ford 2016 catalogue (option 63B), and they are the exact same shape as the LAPD's mirrors.

The way the LAPD works is literally a mystery. I've noticed most don't have mirror lights, and some of traffic unit does That traffic unit does have the mirror lighting. I'm guessing this isn't traffic (no pushbar) but it still has mirror lighting, but just to further complicate things. K-9 doesn't have the same mirror lighting as the rest of the department! They have a different mirror shape. Why? I don't know, it's purely guessing now, like OfficerAmr suggested, it could be due to different ages of the vehicles, or depending on each individual station having different needs (and more money) than others. Some (Hollywood area) will get more money than others. I'll find out what the mirror brands are for you.

Havis Integrated Console. Some have that, most don't. I believe the LAPD was originally going to get integrated consoles but the reality of their budget kicked in. So as I've been made aware (someone correct me if I'm wrong), but they tend to have a traditional Dell type laptop instead. But the Integrated console does look much better. (I'd rather see the Havis console rather than a sh*tty Dell brickbook but that's just me) I managed to get this, which was a screenshot of the inside of an in-service LASD vehicle When looking for images, remember that it's for the Ford Utility, not the Sedan, theres a difference in set up. Those images are apparently the LAPD set-up

Failed US Army Humvee paradrop
xD It's going to be a bad day for someone... I guess it happens, especially to the US forces, they have so much equipment to deploy it's hard for them to check every single vehicle properly I guess.

It's not that important, I thought it was quite noticeable, but thats probably because I've spent a long time trying to work out those headlights I figured it was a quick fix, but it's a low priority anyway

The LED's look neater now. Question: Any way of being able to add the orange tint around the indicator/park lights? I've vandalised the image you've provided around the headlight, and given a comparison image from a real PD vehicle

Alaskan Sunrise
I'm curious about something, did you buy the model or were you able to find it online? I'm really hoping to get into modelling, and I had the Expedition as a project (LASD & CHP variant) but I don't know where to start with the model, I saw some on Sketchup but I wasn't sure if thats a good place to start. Would it be okay if I PM'ed you after my exams so we can discuss that?
