    Im not familiar with paint.net or its capabilities. In photoshop i paint the layer and put a slightly darker color around the edges and add noise to it. Add your text and add bevel to it, this gives the text a 3D kind of look. Here is a video of making textures, if you skip to 39:54 it will show you how i do the licence plates

    By the looks of it you have about 4 hours of experience TBH, and if you made it so you wouldnt be using a texture by someone else then why upload it? and another white texture separate? I have a few years in graphic design and I can tell you that if I gave my 15 month old daughter my mouse and loaded the template up, she would create what you have practiced 4 years for.

  11. [Tutorial] Make your own Textures

    Here is a tutorial on creating your own textures, some people may have quicker/better ways but this is my own way. Its only a tutorial so I wasn't worried about fonts or colors. This video took just over a hour to record and 12 hours 54 minutes and 23 seconds to render with my amazing Intel Celeron B815 @1.58Ghz at 100% Utilization so if anyone wants to be a critic, go elsewhere . The only parts of the video that were edited was that I cut out OpenIV loading because it takes about 3 minutes to load. The music is what I listen to while editing but if you dont like it there is a lovely mute button at the bottom of the video.     **NOTE: This texture has been completely redone since these screenshots, see video at the very bottom. I will try to get some new screenshots soon.     You need to spend more time on the textures. I could google the badge, paint a red layer, place the badge (in the correct position e.g not being split by the door when opened), save it and upload it in about 2 minutes max.
