2015 Tahoe PPV Los Santos Drug Unit Ghost Skin 1.0.0

(2 reviews)

3 Screenshots

Based loosely off of:

78bea24cf43a272e6560099d21984c92--police

With some personal changes and touches to my own liking.

I decided to make one for the LSPD. I don't tend to make skins often. 9 times out of ten I copy a skin from someone's I like onto a template that may not be present in a pack. This was primarily done to prove somewhat of a point. That with a little time and effort, skins can be make to a good quality.

No in game screenshots are present because I was not going to jump in game for a skin that was primarily done to prove a point, nor try and cram any more vehicles into my game and risk crashing. Instead, I provided a picture in OpenIV on all sides in which I had skinned to show you what I have done.

Skin has been made for this model by 'TheGreatHah'

Created using Paint.NET.

Well, yeah. I come on this site almost everyday to see what is new. And it frustrates me that all I see is skins in which it is clear that these people put little to no effort into whatsoever. So I decided to prove a point. In total, this skin took me about 20 minutes. I wasn't trying to be highly accurate. But I kept testing the skin in OpenIV to ensure all the text and badges were not in awkward places and skewed in anyway. I believe I went through about ten iterations of this skin before I was finally happy.

And hey, he challenged me to make a skin myself, so I did.

"Wow, someone made something simple...and tasteful."

Time and effort, kids! This is what it gives you.

I say that, I technically cheated by learning how to texture edit in school.

This is by far the best and most straight forward review i have ever seen. Have you read the comments on the black one? Says he has 4 years experience in making textures :laugh::wallbash:

Indeed I have. Four years, something I find very hard to believe.

Firstly, hilariously wonderful point made, as others have said.

Secondly, as simple as it is, i actually quite like this stealth skin.  Would you ever consider doing a Special Operations Division version for Gump's Tahoes?

I mean, I never really had plans to do any skinning and release it on LSPDFR. But, if you really like something like this. I am more than welcome to try and create what you desire. Feel free to send me some screenshots or details like what text you want (via PM) and when I get a free moment or two, I'll will definitely start work on it. I can even try it as soon as this weekend rolls around. Sunday I have nothing planned, so yeah!

Send me the details!
