It's an update that is upsetting for me to do. Indonesia Search and Rescue units along with Indonesian Navy have began recovering bodies spotted floating at sea and debris. Officials are 95% sure that the debris are of the aircraft. However they have not officially confirmed the aircraft crashed. But it seems clear to me that the aircraft has crashed. EDIT: Latest update. It's now 100% confirmed at AirAsia Flight QZ8501 from Surabaya to Singapore has crashed into the Java Sea. An Indonesia Navy ship, KRI Bung Tomo finds 6 bodies, retrieves 3, trying to retrieve others. AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandez send condolences to families of those on board.

The Republic of Singapore Navy has dispatched two vessels, the RSS Supreme and RSS Valor, to assist in the search. Both vessels left Singapore at 11.59pm local time last night. The RSAF has also dispatched one C-130 to assist. 16 family and friends of those on board has opted to fly to Surabaya. Latest news reports also say that Australia is joining in the search and locate mission. Currently the mission is led by Indonesia, with Singapore and Malaysia assisting. EDIT: Further update. Australia has since deployed a P3 Orion SAR aircraft to assist. France are sending two air investigation authors officials and two Airbus experts to Jakarta. South Korea is going to send a surveillance aircraft to aid in the search.

Latest Update: Defence Minister of Singapore, Dr Ng Eng Hen, has contacted Defence Minister of Indonesia: Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib, has said Malaysia will assist in rescue operations.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore(CAAS) Rescue Coordination Centre was activated hours ago. the Republic of Singapore Air Force(RSAF) and the Republic of Singapore Navy have offered to assist in the rescue efforts. The RSAF has two C-130 Search & Locate aircrafts on Stand by and ready to go. RSN has already been involved so far. Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Lee Hsien Loong, has released a statement on Twitter where he states the following: CAAS and Changi Airport Group(CAG) has counter set up at the airport already. Passenger Manifest has been released by Indonesian news channel, Metro TV. Confirms 149 Indonesians, 3 South Koreans, 1 UK person, 1 Malaysian and 1 Singaporean on Board. CAG has a holding room for the Next-Of-Kin for those on board at the airport. Current reports show that there are at least 2 dozen families in the holding room. I will try to update as much as I can. Like Country A is more corrupt than B but the map shows B as more corrupt than A EDIT: Scratch that lol... Can't read properly today... In a holiday mode already.
