Made a thread. I'll be posting pictures and updates on there from now on.- [WIP] Grand Theft Auto: Australia

Indeed I will. I have lots of plans, and quite a few variations of things I'd like to do, and I'll definitely need some help at some point. Some of my plans include: Complete overhaul of billboards for Australian and international brands advertisements All road signs and barriers retextured to Australian styles Retexture pre-exisiting signs (eg. stop signs) to be cleaned and have more accurate enhanced colours Develop textures for the buses and trams for every state and territory, as well as fictitious services (ie. Los Santos Metro Bus Services) based on Australian styles Retexture governmental facilities and properties with accurate logos and styles Retexture NPC models to represent real Australia logos Retexture vehicles such as the armoured currency vehicle Work with a team to develop player and vehicle textures for emergency services for every Australian state and territory, in addition to the creation of fictitious emergency services of San Andreas based on Australian services (ie. San Andreas Police, San Andreas Metro Fire Service, etc) I am aware some people believe fictitious services for San Andreas based on Australian states won't fit with the environment, however I disagree and it's something I would like to try out, which is also why I plan to have multiple options of all the states as well as the fictitious services, so people can choose for themselves.- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
They'll be done. At the moment I am mainly focusing on Los Santos, and then I'll start expanding to the highways leading north to the outback (as it will come to be known).- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread

I agree. As much as I fonder the novelty of having rhd and driving on the left in GTA, personally I think while it would be cool to test out, I would never have it in as a permanent change because of all the bugs.- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
I've found the billboard models, but the textures are not embedded into the file, nor can I find textures in a seperate file within the same directory. They must be somewhere else, or I've just overlooked them. Someone has made NZ variants of billboards (https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/new-zealand-billboards-buildings-textures), you can ask the mod author. I would suggest downloading it, but it's a fairly large file and have to use alternative links, more of a hassle than it's worth. If you find out, if you could send me a message and let me know, that would be appreciated. If I end up finding it, I will try to remember to message you.- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
When I release it, it will be available both as a .oiv and as a manual format for people to modify and install as they wish. Right now, I am focusing on the fundamental nation-wide elements of the map by myself. Then, I might consider forming a small team to do state-specific elements. We'll see though. Anyone is welcome to send through stuff they think would be cool to be put in, however I cannot guarantee something sent will be put in.- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread

Some more pics. I've done all the speed limit signs converted to km/h and rounded to the next multiple of ten (will create multiple variations to choose from). I've done a fair bit, but these are the only ones that I could find during a quick 5 minute session.- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
Yeah mate, that's the goal.- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
And it begins.- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
I'll have a look around and if I find them I'll let you know where they are. Yeah, I can do that. I have seen them before, they are definitely on the to-do list. Can't remember exactly where, but I know I have seen them, and they will be converted to km/h! I have never loved a Wikipedia article so much: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Road_signs_in_Australia Making things 10x easier.- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
Aw yeah - finally got around to learning the whole texture toolkit thing... GTA, get ready to be Australianised.- Quote Button in Text Editor
There is a button in the text editor already for quotes, assuming I understand you correctly. The editor tools are separated by vertical columns, and immediately following the fifth line, there is a button that resembles quotation marks. Click that. Alternatively, you can highlight text within a previous post and a button will show up saying "Quote this," although I do not have any problems at all with just simply clicking the "Quote" link at the bottom of posts. I'm not entirely sure if that is what you are referring to.- BCSD Animated Cvpi how to install?
Hmm. Not too sure. Maybe @majorpaine2015 can offer some guidance.- NO lights after new update
You'll need to be more specific. You cannot be helped if we do not have more information. Let us know things like: The cars you have in that aren't working The most recent modifications you've made to your game Any changes you've made to .ini files How long have you had the issue Any lighting scripts/patterns you have installed etc. The more information you give, the more likely someone will be able to help you. Better to give us too much, than not enough.- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
Nice flags. Adds so much more to the picture. I'm thinking about putting some Australian flags into my game too. I'm also thinking of texturing the "POLICE - DO NOT CROSS" barrier to be yellow with the black "ROAD CLOSED" text, however I have found the model, but am yet to try and extract the texture files as they seem to be located somewhere else (really annoying).- LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
