  1. Good morning Queensland! (and ACT!)
  2. I know what you mean. Getting overtaken by a 1992 Daihatsu (that's who) Charade on a slight hill with the engine revving louder than the siren because your foot is flat and you and your partner are rocking your weight forward to try give the thing enough power to climb the 10 degree slope gets me all hot and bothered too. iLoad.
  3. It could be the Omega. Or the dog ute... or the iLoad... 😵
  4. Love the new VF but the Omega has to come out first. Has to!
  5. Yeah, only protection still use the old pattern. It's a shame, I'm a big fan of the old one and can't stand that race car shit.
  6. Funny you should say that. It used to be like that to for the actual staff. AFP provided a small presence (management, mostly) and then the state police would be seconded to the AFP, go through a small training course and then wear the AFP uniform and work out of the airport. So yeah, possible that they're loan vehicles from VICPol or something. When I do the response videos I used to save the cars with the trainer as well (vehicle options -> saved vehicle or something). Recently I've discovered Menyoo is awesome for creating scenes, especially for the videos - you can place things in a very specific way and select things easily, choose animations, etc. It's brilliant.
  7. Yeah, I noticed them when I flew down there about a year ago. Considering all of Victoria seems to use the 10 series, I'm starting to wonder if it's just law down there. Hah. Not really but no idea why Melbourne airport is the only place with a different lightbar... and the only AFP aviation units with clear glass o_O I was more referring to ACT Policing, too - they actually get to use the lightbars in the ACT =P
  8. Ah. I updated the textures on the existing bar and have been super happy with it.
  9. Now all you need is a crew to drive all those vehicles back to station at the end of the day. Also, is it just by chance the grille lights aren't on in all those pics or are you playing around with flash patterns and stuff?
  10. That new Code 3 Pursuit lightbar would make a great replacement for the Hazard 90 series still being used by the AFP...
  11. I released some average quality ones about 6 months ago and will get some updated ones out in the near future.
  12. Oh really? I thought they were closer to the VICPol uniforms, like a very dark navy blue. That makes life easier. Is NT the same?
  13. If memory serves they're 'decommissioned' VICPol vehicles with the actual Victoria Police decals taken off. I think basically any police uniforms, vehicles, etc. are allowed as long as they don't show the actual badge/emblem, hence why the uniforms have a fictional shoulder flash. Pretty sure it's all made/owned by VICPol and the producers lease it all.
  14. FG from Rush? I only ever saw them using the old BA sedans for GD stuff. o_O
  15. Found the samples from the old LTS website before FireTrader bought them. Feel free to do whatever you want with them! siren yelp.mp3 siren wail.mp3 siren mix.mp3 Also having a little bit more luck with the SAPol uniforms. Discovered that one of the UK packs have the badges removed from the default shirts which is pretty cool. Unfortunately it also removes the gun... but either way, I'll work it out!
  16. There used to be samples on the LTS website. That's what I used. Not sure if they're still there but they were about 6 years ago. I have the originals somewhere that I'm happy to upload, otherwise feel free to edit the ones I uploaded.
  17. Go for it - I have heaps on the go at once. It's not too hard, just a case of finding a suitable clip to grab the siren from without too much other noise (music, road noise, etc.), putting it in to an audio editing program and then trimming it so that it loops.
  18. I hear it's being phased out all 'round unfortunately. Speaking of, I'm trying to do the Rush siren now, it's basically the same except one of the cars uses a different yelp and they have the cool 'wind up' noise at the start. Won't be able to do the wind up because it won't loop but I'll watch through a few episodes over the next few days see if I can't find a decent clip of the different yelp and make that in to something.
  19. Surely there's a better way to get trucks in and out of the station there... or just, you know, move to a better set up station... ...also curious why they brought a truck up from Melbourne to replace the Sydney truck. Surely FRNSW have spare trucks lying around. I love it too; they used it in Canberra for the longest time but they've recently gone to some weird futuristic sounding siren. I've made a Locktronics LTS siren, I'll upload it in a sec. As promised:
  20. I think the consensus was that it wasn't worth worrying about - the current vehicles use the carcols and would basically need to have their lights redone for els. Considering most Australian agencies only use one standard flash pattern it's probably not worth converting it all. That said, it will probably depend on what features ELS has in the end.
  21. Haha. Will do. You should do sirensetting 69 cause that's the sex number... oh wait... 😜
  22. Thanks for the epaulette. SAPol uniform pics are hard to find, hah. Removing either badge(/nameplate) leaves the shape of it there but happy to remove them anyway. Any particular numbers you want on the epaulettes?
  23. @snit First 'draft'. Colour needs to be darker, patches need a little bit of resizing, may need to move the 'police' patch on the right down to the pocket because of the badge... and don't mind the NSW Name plate... not bad for an hours work this morning. ;)
