Do You Serve in Your Country's Military?
Awesome living conditions? Yes. Great pay? Well as far as pay goes it is pretty much the same across all branches. An E-6 in the Army gets paid the same as an E-6 in the Air Force who gets paid the same as an E-6 in the Navy and so on. So in regards to pay, it will be the same no matter what branch you go to. There are special pays that are also (to my knowledge) the same across all branches but you are more likely to get them in certain branches. For example, in the Army we have a thing called Sea Pay; you are obviously more likely to receive this pay in the Navy than you are in the Army or Air Force. In my case I receive Airborne Pay for jumping out of a plane at least 4 times a year, you can receive this pay in any branch but you are more likely to receive it in the Army because we have the most airborne units. As for your original question, I currently serve in the U.S. Army. Been in for a little over a year now (left for basic in November 2013) and my MOS (aka job) is a 35F (Intelligence Analyst). I joined because it runs in my family, the benefits are great, and I want to serve my country (even though it is cheesy and cliche). However my plan was to join the National Guard or Reserve and be a full time police officer, I have already gone through the academy and obtained my state certification but after a year of applying to agencies (granted, not as many as I should have) I was still unemployed so I decided to do Active Duty for awhile to beef up my resume and to also get some good/fun experience. I am proud of my decision to join, however, it isn't exactly what I thought it would be and don't see myself sticking around after this assignment. I still want to serve but I am not sure if the Army is where I want to be. I plan on transferring to the Reserves after this no matter what branch I go to (even if I stay Army) so I can pursue my law enforcement career. I can't complain too much though, I got Germany as my first duty assignment, work in an awesome unit, get to jump out of planes every month, and make decent money with great benefits so it isn't all bad.

Moving to Las Vegas
I would take what people tell you with a grain of salt, especially the people who have only visited. I can tell you that when I lived in the DC area and my family went on vacation to Florida I thought it was great. After living in northern VA for 10 years my family got moved to Tampa, FL due to my dad's job. I can tell you that visiting Florida and living in Florida are completely different. I will tell people that I hated living in Florida more than anywhere else I've ever lived and they will come back and tell me about how they've been to Florida so many times and it is a great place and how they had awesome vacations there. Yeah, I've had great vacations in Florida too but until you have to live there you can't tell me it is a great state. In regards to Las Vegas, I have never been there so I couldn't tell you anything about it. It does share some similar qualities with Florida so I can't imagine it being too much different. I have lived in a desert though and I can tell you it sucks. Enjoy seeing green while you can. I loved living in the DC area and as soon as I'm done with my tour here I am moving back to it.

Pentagon picks Air Force One replacement
Yep, Boeing makes excellent aircraft. Not to say Airbus isn't a good aircraft manufacturer either, I just like Boeings better. I like the A380, it is a good aircraft and I don't have anything against it other than, in my opinion, it looks ugly as shit.

Pentagon picks Air Force One replacement
Not sure how many of you are into aviation (I am...alot) but saw this article today. The Air Force has announced the next replacement for the two 747-200s that currently serve as Air Force One. The current 747-200s will be retired in 2017 and replaced by the 747-8 (is anyone surprised?). I am certainly glad that they went with the 747 over the A380 (even though I knew they wouldn't go for the Airbus); I think an A380 in Air Force One colors would look horrible. Not to mention the A380 is just a weird looking aircraft in general. http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/28/politics/boeing-air-force-one-fleet/index.html

Antyvirus that You recommend.
Yes, but part of prevention is having that software that can also update your virus and spyware definitions. That way when you go to a website or download something the software can look at it and tell you that it is a virus or spyware. What you are describing is not prevention at all, you are reacting to a virus or adware that gets onto your computer. Being cautious on the internet is only part of prevention, good anti-virus software is the other half.

Which Cities Next-Gen Vehicles Should I Do Next?
They probably painted it before they moved to the new colors. Depending on how much money and time they want to spend on repainting cars that already have the original paint scheme they might just leave it in the original colors. I can't think of any agencies that paint new cars in a completely new design then randomly decide to not go with it.

Antyvirus that You recommend.
I used Norton for over 10 years now and never had a problem. On this latest computer I built I decided not to install Norton due to people claiming it slows down their PC. So this time I am sticking with Microsoft Security Essentials and so far I have had no problems. Of course I also take precautions to minimize my risk; I don't visit sketchy sites, I am cautious of what and where I download things from, and I don't torrent or pirate anything.

Which Cities Next-Gen Vehicles Should I Do Next?
Is this for textures or the actual model? If it is for textures I would say Seattle but since I grew up in the DC area I have to vote for Arlington County PD. San Francisco has the same livery that they've always had so I don't see a reason to redo it. If it is for the model then I would definitely say Arlington County PD because I am pretty sure we already have a the next gen police cars with FS Legends on it and the Code 3 2100 that SFPD uses is one of the worst lightbars in the history of lightbars so that is definitely a no.

What are your thoughts on "anime"
Your post served no purpose other than to incite arguments and troll people. This is the kind of stuff I was referring to in my posts in the other topic.
-
What are your thoughts on "anime"
No, actually you created this thread to be a troll. You clearly don't care why people like it, you are just trying to flame people by calling them names. What is the purpose of this post. Everyday you are just getting more and more trollish. If you don't have anything to say about the topic then just leave.

Should The Politics Board Be Removed From LCPDFR?
Ok.....I'm sorry people insult you on here. I guess I worded what I meant poorly. It isn't that I think you don't care about the topic, it is that I think you don't care about having a civilized conversation about the topic. You post things and say that you don't care what anyone else says, you are not going to change what you believe but want to continue probe at people and leave inflammatory comments. To me that just looks like a troll, you might care about the topic but I think you just like seeing people get riled up about things you say.
-
Should The Politics Board Be Removed From LCPDFR?
Well I have yet to see anyone get proven 100% wrong about anything in these sorts of posts so I'm not sure what you are referring to. I have noticed it is the same few people who are active in these forums outside of the modding section, so when you have a limited number of people who participate in these topics you are going to see the same names pop up. Just like you see my name, Pavelow's name, Illusionary's name all the time, that is because it is the same people who participate in these topics. I just think it is funny that you think it is because they just don't like you and don't even consider the fact that it might be what you are saying.
-
Should The Politics Board Be Removed From LCPDFR?
No I can't prove that isn't true, but neither can you prove that people are out to get you and just follow you around liking posts from anyone who disagrees with you. Not everything is about you.
-
What are your thoughts on "anime"
Well using that logic there is no logical reason to be attached to liking police cars either. They are just virtual cars on a screen right? But I can already tell this is just a troll post based on your comment at the end. I don't understand why people like anime either but that doesn't mean I'm going to bash people who like it. I like Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry does that make me immature?
-
Should The Politics Board Be Removed From LCPDFR?
That is just another assumption you are making. Don't act like everyone is out to get you. Maybe they liked the post because they agree with it, might not have anything to do whether or not people like you. I have liked posts of people that I usually disagree with. If I agree with a post or think it is funny then I will like it, has nothing to do with what I think of a person. Well, yes I have proven my point.

Should The Politics Board Be Removed From LCPDFR?
Just going to leave this right here. And I didn't even have to go to different forum topics to find all those. BTW, never said that I hated anyone. No need to put words in my mouth.
-
Should The Politics Board Be Removed From LCPDFR?
They are not assumptions if I have seen you say those things.

Should The Politics Board Be Removed From LCPDFR?
Ok let me rephrase it then. If you don't have the time or patience to articulate a description then obviously it must not be that important to you. If you are going to just throw out a topic and say "I am not going to write anything about this and these are my beliefs and no matter what you say I am not going to change them" (which is a very close minded thing to say) that is no longer a debate or conversation, that is just starting a flame war. Like I said before, I have no problem having a civilized conversation about current events or politics but that is not what it has been lately. When people say that "it is the internet so it doesn't matter" or "no matter what you say I won't change my belief" then what is the point of the conversation? That is just flaming someone, I go into every debate with an open mind because I know that I do not know everything and I might be wrong sometimes or my way of doing things may not be the best or only way out there. So until people here are mature enough to have civilized debates my personal belief is the politics board should be closed, all it has done is turned into a flame board.
-
Should The Politics Board Be Removed From LCPDFR?
Why do you always have to argue everything someone says? Illusionary was just posting a suggestion and offering advice on something you were complaining about, no need to and try spark a debate out of it. On topic, I think it should be closed. I don't believe the majority of the community is mature enough to debate things in a civilized manner. CK when you post things to debate but then state that you don't care enough about the topic to debate it then that (among other things you've said before) leads me to believe you are posting these things because you enjoying trolling people and getting attention by saying things that you know will evoke a response from people. Lately the majority of things I have seen come out of that section of the forum have just been flame wars. I almost never see any posts that resemble a civilized conversation and it usually just shows how little people actually know about the subject they are talking about. When people post things like "This is what I believe and nothing anyone says will change my mind" is just inflammatory. This is a website for emergency service related GTA IV mods; if people want to go debate politics and current events there are plenty of other forums that have people who do just that.

Alternatives to college and military for law enforcment?
Actually not once in any of your posts did you specify that you were talking about the reserves, so it wasn't obvious. Ok, let me just forget everything I know about my own job and listen to you, someone who isn't even in the military. I know what the likelihood of deployment is right now and I can tell you it isn't likely. I'm not saying it can't change in the future but right now we are downsizing all of our branches and fewer and fewer people are deploying. I'm not saying it is impossible to be deployed right now or that it will never happen, I am telling you what the outlook is right now.

Ah ok, nice edit. Wouldn't mind sharing it would you? I can make vehicle textures but never managed to get the ped textures down.

Maybe in the Air Force, Army doesn't have as many bases overseas so less stuff to guard. If the OP does look into military service I would advise not to pick MPs for the law enforcement aspect. Law enforcement in the military is drastically different than civilian law enforcement. Nothing wrong with picking that MOS/specialty/rating but don't expect it to be anything like being a police officer.

What website? I did a search on a couple of other GTA sites and Google, I could only find a US Marshall's ped.
