Obama restricts military-type gear police can have
I made some posts about this issue back when the media was covering all of the "militarized police" in Ferguson. Nobody has seemed to do any research on the topic. Nobody has looked at the reason why police started using most of this equipment in the first place. I made a post a while back listing several shootouts between police and heavily armed gunmen and how at the time the police were severely outgunned (one of the most famous being the North Hollywood Shootout). The criminals use body armor and high caliber weapons. I don't understand why the police are the bad guys in this situation? Why is there no outcry that just about anybody can buy a .50 caliber sniper rifle and body armor? Because if I wanted to, as a citizen, I could go out and buy just about any weapon I wanted and some body armor. So why is it ok for me (and bad guys) to purchase and own these things but it isn't ok for the police to have it. You listed the two cities that were destroyed by riots, what exactly was "peaceful" about those protests?

Family Of 8 Fight Police - Fatal Shooting *Graphic*
What facts do you have to back up your statement that most of the time police are lying when they say someone goes for their gun? Let me just take a wild guess and say you don't have any facts, you are just pulling that out of your ass. And yes, we do know who shot the cop in the leg. He was shot by his own weapon while struggling for it with one of the suspects. During the struggle the gun went off and hit him in the leg, another officer then shot the suspect. Please reference these incidents that back up your theory that if the family had been black it would have ended differently? The majority of the time the color of the person has little to do with how a situation is handled. The suspect(s) determine the outcome of each situation. 90% of the time the police are reacting to something the suspect(s) do. As someone stated before, race is always a factor because the community and the media make it a factor. Look at any of the recent police shootings. Michael Brown, media and citizens of Ferguson start claiming racism yet an investigation finds the shooting justified. The guy in New York, same thing. The most recent one in South Carolina and many others. All of these cases the media's headline says "white cop shoots black man". This is within hours of it happening when no facts are out about the case and there is no indication that it was motivated by race. This is why race is a factor and there is nobody to blame but the media and the people in the community who incite this hatred. If an investigation reveals that any shooting was motivated by race then I am all for charging that officer and making sure he/she spends the rest of his/her life in prison. However that is not the case, these officers are labeled racists before the entire story comes out. How come any other shooting in the US that makes news headlines (even though they hardly do) doesn't talk about race? I never see a headline that says "white officer shoots white man" or "black officer shoots black man". Yes, racial bias is a serious issue and when it is properly identified I am more than willing to confront it, but jumping on every single police officer that kills someone of a different race before a proper investigation is conducted is race baiting and that is what is happening in America right now. And yes, you pointing it out does make you a race baiter. You are just another one of those people that is bringing race into a topic that has nothing to do with it. If you have hard facts that prove race is a factor in this then by all means provide them and I will apologize. As for the video. It is easy for everyone to sit here and Monday morning quarterback about what they could have done differently but the fact of the matter is this escalated very quickly and there was little the officers could do to diffuse the situation once it started. I have been in a similar situation and there really is no time to react. We were dispatched to a fight in progress at a night club. The entrance was around the back of a building in a very small, fenced in parking lot. There were four individuals outside with the bouncers and the fight had already been separated. A few moment after we arrived the bouncers inside shut down the club and kicked everyone out due to fights. Within a couple of minutes we had a bunch of pissed off people crammed into this small parking lot with no where to go. The crowd grew to roughly 100-120 people and soon enough fights started breaking out in the crowd. We broke up one fight but three more would start up. Luckily the fights were separate and usually only involving 2-3 people each so when we were breaking one fight up we didn't have people jumping on us like the officers in this situation. My point is when I watched this video that is what it reminded me of and I remember how powerless we were to stop it. Yes, there are things that could have been done differently but realistically this was the best outcome under the circumstances and ultimately it was that family who determined the outcome when they decided to do what they did.

Check out this dumb 9 year old.
All I could focus on was the fact he was calling it "1O.D". Then at the end when he said "I'm going rollerskating" I fucking lost it. Tried sounding like a badass mother fucker through the whole video only to end it with rollerskating lol. I can't stop laughing, it is just too good to be true.

Jeremy Clarkson Suspended from BBC
While it is sad people still have to be held accoutable for their actions. I read that Clarkson has had several incidents in the past so this isn't the first time. As a viewer I am pissed that Clarkson is leaving, but the rest of me says if you are constantly getting into trouble then what do you expect? I think Jeremy Clarkson is what Charlie Sheen was to Two and a Half Men; the show might go on but no one can replace him and it will probably suck.

It's official! The X-Files is coming back...
Like most remakes it will probably suck. I don't understand why producers want to take a good thing and screw it up.

Flight Simmers: Is FS2Crew Worth It?
I just listed a couple, but it depends on what you do in FSX. There are plenty of good aircraft, scenery, and utility addons that add a lot to the sim. I mostly fly commercial and general aviation aircraft so most of my addons focus on that.
-
Flight Simmers: Is FS2Crew Worth It?
Yes, that is a very exaggerated video though. Personally I do not like flying with those setting turned all the way up as I don't feel they are very realistic and it makes it hard to flip switches or push buttons when the camera is moving around all the time so I have those setting turned down to a more realistic level. I also have cameras set up focused on certain panels that have these setting turned completely off so if I need to I can zoom to those panels and do what I need to do without having the camera bouncing around on me. This is all personal preference though, some people like having those settings turned up and the nice thing about Ezdok is you can customize it however you want.
-
Flight Simmers: Is FS2Crew Worth It?
Correct. It allows me to setup hotkeys to easily switch between views. I have a view for looking out of the cockpit, looking at my instruments, looking left or right out of the cockpit, etc. I have the Logitech G510 keyboard so I have plenty of G keys to customize. I customize each one to my aircraft so I have a set of cameras for my PMDG NGX, PMDG MD11, A2A C182, and all my other aircraft. If you get a copy of it I can even send you my camera settings in a zip file and you can load them into your Ezdok. With the recent update to Ezdok it is also compatible with P3D so it isn't just for FSX. EZCA is incredibly customizable and lots of people upload their camera sets so you can tweak them to however you like.

Flight Simmers: Is FS2Crew Worth It?
They sure do. I run Active Sky Next with REX 4 (although I'm considering going back to REX Essentials +OverDrive). It is the best combination; accurate, real time weather with awesome graphics to go with it.

Flight Simmers: Is FS2Crew Worth It?
Only issue with that is that once people torrent it just to "try it out" they rarely have any incentive to go and buy a legitimate copy after they determined they liked it. They already have a copy so why buy it? On topic, FS2Crew is a fantastic addon however I have not been using it lately. Sometimes I like to run through all the procedures myself which also helps keep me current on the F/O's flows. Personally I think it is well worth the money and adds more immersion and realism into the sim but I wouldn't call it a "must have" addon. EZCA on the other hand, well worth the $35. I am not sure what I did before I had this addon. If you fly in the VC then this is the greatest addon you can have, especially if you don't have TrackIR. Active Sky, FSUIPC, and EZCA are some of the most important addons I run, I don't do any flights without them.

Chicago Police Black Sites
Allegedly. Again, based on the amount of bias and exaggeration I have seen coming from this story makes me question how much of it is actually true.

Chicago Police Black Sites
It is possible that they were waiting on something and didn't interview him. Or maybe this guy is lying and he was read Miranda. So far this guy hasn't given me a reason to believe him.
-
Chicago Police Black Sites
No, not really. You can have an unbiased opinion, but in this case he is very biased. These guys aren't any different than any other media source; just spewing bullshit about the law because they saw a couple episodes of Law & Order. He makes a mention of how the guy wasn't ever read his Miranda rights. Anyone who does even the slightest bit of research will find that you are only required to be read Miranda if they are asking you questions that could incriminate you. It is entirely possible to arrest someone and not once read them Miranda. The police can ask you questions about who you are such as your name, address, DOB, etc. and they are still not required to read you Miranda because those questions do not incriminate you of anything. This is what I mean when I say that our media, mainstream or otherwise, is going down the drain. None of these guys want to research a topic, they aren't journalist anymore they are just people that read words off a piece of paper that is put in front of them. The stuff that guy said just makes my opinion of him lower. If you don't know what you are talking about then don't say anything; go do some research on what you are talking about then come back and talk. If there is something I see people talking about on here and I don't know much about it (or even if I think I know about it) I will do some quick reading on the topic so I don't sound like a dumbass when I join the conversation or I just don't say anything at all.

What Was The Happiest Moment in Your Life?
I think it would be a tie between graduating the police academy and graduating Airborne School, tough to choose one. Although once I get my Private Pilots License I'm sure that will rank up there.

Chicago Police Black Sites
I didn't say it disproved anything I said that he at least looked around for other news sources to try and get a different side of the story. I am not arguing that other people haven't been taken there I am saying that apparently the only person who is making these claims is this one guy. Either The Guardian didn't do a good job of looking for other people who had similar claims or they don't exist. There might be bad things going on at that location but I am not going to take the word of one guy who was picked up on terrorism charges, it is going to take a little more evidence than that. I am not saying The Guardian is a bad new organization but whoever wrote that article is clearly biased. The way they described things shows that they have some sort of agenda and want to paint CPD as a corrupt agency. They could very well be right but their hurting their own cause by writing such a clearly biased article.

Chicago Police Black Sites
Read my post on the first page. All of these allegations are based on one guy who got arrested there. Unless you have better evidence than that there is nothing saying that those things are "actually happening". Finally, someone actually did research on the topic and didn't just assume the first thing they read was fact. I salute you sir, you are a beacon of hope in this dark world of people not taking the time to research a topic.

Chicago Police Black Sites
That's because, like most things, the media is quick to focus on bad things. Nobody likes talking about good things that go on, those don't grab people's attention. I wouldn't be so quick to say that CPD is doing illegal things here. Of course the media is exaggerating things (like usual). They are calling the holding cells "cages", no shit, that is what a holding cell is. Are people just now learning about this? You guys will be shocked when you hear about jails and prisons, those are just big facilities with nothing but these "cages". The entire article(s) are based on allegation from one man, there is almost no evidence to support most of these claims it is all based on one guy's story.

Just some local crimes
I would hardly call Brevard County peaceful. Sure it isn't as bad as some other spots in Florida but Brevard has its fair share of shit holes (Satellite Beach isn't one of them though). I think most people would be surprised what really goes on where they live. I can only think of a handful of places that are truly quiet places to live. Most places have plenty of stuff going on it is just that the public usually doesn't hear about it too much.

TransAsia Airways plane crashes in Taiwan
Only reason I can recall it so well is because I happened to be reading something about it like a month ago, lol.

TransAsia Airways plane crashes in Taiwan
Are you talking about British Midlands flight 92? The crew didn't misinterpret the instrument readings they disregarded the vibration indicators because in the earlier models of the 737 (which the pilots were used to flying) the vibration indicators were unreliable. The crew didn't realize that the newer 737 they were flying gave accurate readings so they ignored it. They were also used to the earlier 737s where the air conditioning packs were fed by the right engine but in the newer 737s both engines fed the air conditioning. So when the crew smelled smoke they assumed that the number 2 engine (right) was the one malfunctioning because they thought it was the only engine feeding the packs when in reality it was the number 1 engine that was malfunctioning which caused them to shut down their only working engine and by the time they had realized their mistake it was too late to restart the number 2 engine.

is this a good gaming PC?
Not a bad setup but I would still suggest getting a bigger power supply. Also I think the water cooler is overkill especially if you don't plan on overclocking. Something like this would be fine (http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Air-Performance-Cooler-CAFA50/dp/B003IT6RDE/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1424117411&sr=8-11&keywords=corsair+heatsink+fan). I run that fan (or something very similar) on my i7 4790k which are known to run hot and I still have really cool temps even during stress tests. You could save money by getting a regular heatsink fan and use the money you saved for a bigger PSU (700W-800W range). I couldn't tell you too much about the AMD processors but I have heard that Intel is the way to go when it comes to CPUs. I have had a computer with an AMD CPU and it ran just fine but I prefer Intel but that is just me. Also with the extra money you save from not going with the water cooler you could go with a Samsung EVO SSD. Nothing wrong with the Intel SSD as Mr.Quiggles said but Samsungs are better, or maybe I'm just biased. I run two 1TB Samsung EVOs and love them. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-120GB-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-7TE120BW/dp/B00E3W15P0/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1424117703&sr=8-8&keywords=samsung+ssd Out of all my suggestions though I would stress upgrading the power supply more than anything.

is this a good gaming PC?
Everything he said too.

is this a good gaming PC?
Yes that is more than enough to play GTA IV and probably V on high settings. Only suggestions I have for you is to try and get 2 8GB sticks of RAM instead of 4. Also you might want to double check that 550W is enough for all of that, it might be cutting it close. I would recommend for a gaming PC to get at least a 700W-800W power supply. I run a 1000W power supply on mine.

More than one Citation
Now that I live in Germany the tickets are even cheaper. If you get a ticket from one of the speed cameras it is like 15 euro for the first offense.

Do you remember the first time you've drove a car?
First time I drove a car was about 10 or 11 years ago. I was about 12 years old and I was visiting my great uncle who had a farm in southern Virginia with lots of land. He had this old Ford pickup truck (early 70s F-Series) I remember he would let me drive it in a circle around the house for about 30 mins. Eventually he let me drive it by myself while he stood on the porch which I thought was the coolest thing at the time. First time I legally drove a car though was 2007 when I got my learners permit at 15. I remember walking out of the DMV with my mom who then let me drive home in our 2001 Honda Odyssey, I was kind of nervous but really excited too. First year or two of having my drivers license was really fun at the time but after doing it for 7 or 8 years now it is just another daily thing.
