This is a very sad and tragic event. I wonder if the attacker was influenced by the "religion of peace". Has anyone seen what the migrants have been doing? It's terrible.

Yeah, we believe that the 7 days of creation are not meant to be taken literally but metaphorically. And we believe that the Earth is older than 6,000 years. It's funny how these topics always stray from the original topic. Back to gun control, I am a very conservative person as you may know. We are both very sturdy in our stance on this topic, clearly.

As a Catholic, we are taught that science and religion go hand in hand. We do not deny evolution, or the big bang. I personally believe that my theological beliefs are still very relevant and will always be. I believe that theology classes have given me a better understanding of my faith rather than just taking a religion class about scripture. To be fair, there are impressionable people in every category.

I don't quite understand how gun control relates to theology. You can ridicule it as much as you want, your are entitled to your beliefs. I wasn't offended by the fact that you mentioned religion. I was offended by the fact that you mentioned stupidity and seemed to correlate religion and stupidity together. I felt that it was a bit off topic and unrelated.

Sure, it's a fact. I can assure you though, that I will never shoot myself or my family, even on accident. I don't treat guns as toys.

My goal is to stop him/her before he/she does anything to my things or my family. If someone breaks into your home, you can shoot.

I don't believe that I am 10 times more likely to shoot a family member or myself. I know how to use a gun and it's pretty much common sense not to aim it at myself or someone else unless I am acting in self defense. I feel a lot safer, actually. Even though a home invasion is unlikely, I like the comfort to know that I can defend myself.

If I bought a gun, the only thing it would be used for it for recreational shooting and self defense. I want to be prepared to save innocent lives if need be. We don't buy guns to defend ourselves from our own guns. We buy guns to defend ourselves against people with guns who have bad intentions.

I know this isn't comparable to the shooting deaths in America, but it disproves your argument that banning guns will stop criminals from getting them. Right. So apparently buying a gun used in a shooting will somehow make you turn into a killer. It is very unfortunate that people and children are killed, I am not arguing against that. But who wouldn't want to be able defend themselves?

Inesiri just stated that 2 people were shot in his country which has strict gun control laws. Isn't it apparent that criminals don't follow laws?

I'd prefer to have a weapon to defend myself with rather than to be unarmed when some psycho starts shooting everywhere. Illegal guns would be like illegal drugs. All over the place.

No, this video is basically saying that guns don't kill people. People blame the guns, not the people. A Little over 32,000 people died in 2013 from automobile related accidents. Should we restrict people from owning cars too? There are responsible car owners and the ones that drive recklessly. Should all car owners be reprimanded for the actions of one? No. Just because some lunatic uses his gun irresponsible does not mean I should be punished. As soon as the government tries to take away our guns is the day people should rebel.
