Lots of comments. Wow. I wasn't expecting this many lol. When it comes to scripting, my brain automatically becomes a peanut and I'm left with nothing but a clueless face on, So I'll leave that to Lt.Caine. The problem is that Caine has gone ghost for a couple of years now and unless someone gets permission to edit/improve his script then editing ELS is out of the picture. What if a new script compatible with ELS was created that uses a .WAV file that makes the Federal Signal beeps when ELS keys are pressed, and also include a beep for the horn/siren key?? Again I'm clueless as to know how scripting works so I don't know if its possible or not. Now sound files and working with Audacity is something I have experience with, so I'll play around with the sound file st.kizza found. Not that i'm going to get any good results but its worth a try. I really like this idea and wish it would be implemented in game somehow. Would like to hear more on people's thoughts on this topic.

no not the constant ticking when the lights are on. I'm talking about the sound when you activate the lights.

Just curious about something here. I use ELS.V5 and there is this click sound that goes off when the lights are activated and deactivated. Is there some sort of game sound file somewhere within GTAIV that ELS uses to make this sound? Is there any way to edit it? The reason I ask is because I mostly use a Federal Signal Smart siren. While watching some videos online, I came across a video of a lapd officer responding to a code 3 call right after leaving the station. When he turns on the lights or siren, there is this beep that goes off every time he presses buttons. I would like to edit the game sound file to that same beep sound for a more realistic experience when playing. Below I linked two videos. well it downloads just fine for me. I'm using firefox. no errors or nothing. try using a different web browser to see if it works. Make sure you are sign in to the site, non members will get a warning saying to wait 0-60 seconds tops to download their stuff. members download right away with no wait time. or was it Senior members only? I recommend Hove Beach for both Gangs and Bait car. Right in front of Roman's pad, by Vlad's Bar, you could get into some trouble if you mess with the wrong person. I made that mistake once thinking I'm Rambo and got turned into Swiss cheese by some guy and his Comrades, they even came out of their cars to have a go at me. For your bait car attempt, you can try it in the area where the swing set glitch is at. I usually get some action around there, and its really close to a PD station if you have to transport someone, or a hospital if you get shot. but the same as Hove Beach Russians, be careful with the guys by the swing set glitch area. Those guys really don't take kindly to cops who mess with their friends. You can also try a bait car in the north side of Algonquin, where you have to take a picture of this guys with a phone for playboy. That area is really good for bait cars.

Thats aznairsoftdude's CHP car and it only works with just that car. He mapped the lights to do just that by pressing the secondary ELS key. I have mine as "K" so if I press it, the front lights will stay on but the back will flash. If you are using a different car, I suggest you use this one: Its one of my favorite cars because of that configuration. Wish there were more cars with different light bars that uses that same setup.

I think its an excellent Idea but I'm not sure there is a good animation for it. I've seen officers approach the passenger side before on videos and with my own eyes. Its mostly done by State Troopers and County Sheriffs. Not so much with PD since someone could pull over at a gas station of shopping mall parking lot. Since they have their backs turned, It's for the deputies/troopers safety when on a busy street with a lot of traffic coming at them. Here is a video of a trooper doing it.
